    While we understand that members of the community may feel frustrated with the transfer program and unavailability of names on destination servers, we ask that the community continue to use the official discussion thread regarding the transfer program for further feedback regarding the program. As such, we're going to close this thread and ask that the community continue to use the following:

     

    Character Transfer, Server Populations, and You (Part II)

     

    We also have an ongoing discussion in the Suggestion Box about suggestions for the service regarding names and a thread for discussing names lost.

    Server Transfer Plea

    Hi all,

     

    As mentioned in our Server Transfers FAQ, it is only possible to transfer from origin servers to assigned destination servers in the initial Character Transfer Service:

    Not as part of the initial Character Transfer Service. By encouraging players to transfer characters to and from specified servers, we hope to ensure balanced server populations across the service. Eligible servers will be listed as they become available for transfers at http://www.swtor.com/transfer. Characters on a specific group of origin servers will only be able to transfer to specific individual destination servers.

     

    While we have not released any future plans for server transfers, our blog post does say the following about additional offerings:

     

    Future versions of the Character Transfer Service may allow more options in your choice of destination servers and may require a transfer fee. While we do not have a scheduled time frame for the launch of such a service, we are committed to making improvements to the Character Transfer Service over time to provide players with a great gameplay experience.

    As mentioned above, you can find details about the server transfer program here:

    To start the character transfer process, login to your account, click My Account and then click Character Transfers in the left hand menu. From there you will be able to select Start a Character Transfer and see if you have any characters eligible for transfer to selected servers.

    It looks like this line is causing a little bit of confusion. Hopefully I can help clear that up! What we're saying here is that we're unable to provide the origins and destinations in advance because those lists may change internally as we watch the response to transfers. We'll be monitoring populations and how many players are transferring, which will inform our decisions about further origin and destination servers. We won't be changing the destination on you once it's announced, we just don't want to announce a pair too early.

    Hi all,

     

    As per our Rules of Conduct, we do not allow petition threads on our forums, as such petitions often become filled with "/signed" posts, making it more difficult to engage in constructive discussion. As such, we're going to close this thread.

     

    If you'd like to share suggestions regarding features, such as the ability to rejoin your Warzone team after a disconnect, we recommend creating a suggestion thread either here in the PVP section or over in the Suggestion Box.

    Serious overloading of servers

     

    Since both threads focus on the same concerns, we're going to close this thread and ask that the community continue to use that existing thread constructive feedback and discussion regarding queues and server population.

     

    There is a five minute grace period when disconnected that allows you to re-enter the server without being placed into the queue. If you believe that this is not working as intended, we ask that you submit a ticket using the in-game Customer Service tab or send us a ticket through our Customer Service form:
