  1. Not just a romance thing, I want more male apprentices anyway

xalek is ok but I got him so late he never felt like an apprentice to me

I totally agree. The lack of male apprentices was surprising. I hardly count Xalek myself because Ashara seems more like an apprentice. Xalek's also the only apprentice that can't be romanced. Apparently Bioware has a bit of a Master/Apprentice kink when it comes to female apprentices. Maybe it's a naughty school girl, padawan thing. I dunno. I feel a little weird romancing an npc who calls my toon master all the time--which is true for a lot of the companion romances in this game. Hmmmm.

I'd be happy with male apprentices that weren't romance options.

  2. Another possible way to implement/foreshadow the Revanite story could be an event like the Grand Acquisition Race--don't get me wrong, there was a lot left to be desired about that particular event, but the idea of a galaxy spanning scavenger hunt with mini-missions throughout could fit with Revanite lore and the existing worlds of the game in compelling ways--especially if they could find a way to implement the scaling mechanics they claim to be introducing with the upcoming Bounty Hunter Event.

The Revanites are interested in collecting artifacts and lore related to Revan,

hence being sent to retrieve Revan's mask

, so it would make sense for them to embark on a galaxy spanning pilgrimage to sites where Revan once trained, fought, etc. A few of these sites already exist in game such as Taris, Tatooine, Korriban, Coruscant, and Dromund Kaas. Other popularly demanded worlds such as Dantooine, Kashyyyk, Dxun, etc. could be added later at the convenience of the developers OR a totally new Revanite world/playable area could be created.

Creating a galaxy spanning event or quest line using locations that already exist in the game seems like it would be easier to implement in the short term and would allow developers to test the interest fans have in new content.

Additionally, this story arc would provide an opportunity to potentially introduce the descendents of other characters from the Kotor series, though I'm aware several players like to role play that their toons are the descendents of Revan's followers, so perhaps this would be too controversial. I don't know. The potential is there.

Although, I would say the potential for a 300+ year old Zaalbar to make an appearance would be pretty sweet. To the best of my knowledge, his age isn't discussed in Kotor, and Wookies can live for several centuries, so it isn't beyond the realm of possibility.

  3. I'm glad people like this idea. I think there is just a ton of untapped potential in the Revanite storyline and that it could really be a jumping off point for more content that relates back to Kotor and Kotor II. It would also be an excellent opportunity to explore more of Revan's story.

Given that Revan can be defeated later on in the game, this content could explore what Revan was up to prior to those events or explain how Revan survived his apparent defeat. Revan could also appear as a force apparition like the Exile. One of the convenient things about this universe: Just because someone is defeated doesn't mean they're gone for good. ;)

I imagine that a third faction would be difficult to implement, but it is an intriguing idea. I was thinking more along the lines of a new planet, similar to the implementation of Makeb. The Revanites, having broken ties with the Empire and the Sith in favor of following Revan's Path, leave Dromund Kaas and set up a new power base on a distant world with ties to Revan's history (perhaps Dantooine? The site of an ancient Rakata temple?). The Revanites are just powerful enough to be a major inconvenience to both the Republic and the Empire and both factions see the benefits of winning the Revanites over to their side. The Revanites are willing to accept members of the Republic, Empire, Sith, or Jedi as long as they agree to follow The Path of Revan. This creates the opportunity for players to infiltrate the Revanites either to win them over to their faction or follow Revan's Path in earnest.

Revan's force apparition could be a guiding force during your missions on the Revanite planet, or something like that. I also think it would open up some potentially interesting content opportunities for Satele Shan and Lord Scourge.

A new planet or player area seems like the easiest way to introduce new content.

It could also provide an opportunity to release a new version of Revan's armor that is closer to the set in Kotor without having to replace what they have already introduced. It could be an adaptive Revanite Armor Set, modeled after Revan's traditional armor. There could be lightside and darkside versions of the armor.

They could even continue the reputation system that they have set up for the Cartel Market, Voss, and Makeb, etc. Gaining reputation with the Revanites would allow you to unlock unique Revanite gear, vehicles, pets, etc.

Or picture this, as part of the Revanite end game you can discover, restore, and acquire the Ebon Hawke as a new personal star ship.

Or the Revanites could have spent decades collecting the scattered pieces T3-M4, whose memory core contains the true history of Revan and the Emperor. Players have the opportunity to recover T3-M4's memory core and either leave it as is or alter it to better reflect the ideals of their faction.

Honestly, the more I think about this, the more potential I see.

  4. Characters introduced on Makeb: Lord Cytharat (Imp-side) and Doctor Avesta (Pub-side), as companions.

Sure, there's a dark side option to leave Cytharat to die on Makeb, but that doesn't mean he DID die. The Force could have protected him. In space opera, if you don't have a body, you can't assume they're dead.

I'd also love to see further conversations with existing companions, absolutely.

I'd very much like to see this as well.

  5. I totally agree. I know there are a lot of players out there who play humans, Chiss, and Mirialan exclusively, but I don't. I want customization options for other races. It really isn't fair to release customization options for just a few races and then nothing, especially when humans already have more customization options than a lot of other races.
  6. Companion: Pilgrim/Heretic

    Species: Voss

    Gender: Male or Female

    Combat Style/Class: Ranged, Force Wielder

    Romanceable: Optional

Personality/Background: Not all Voss are content to sit back and let the mystics decide the fate of their race. This former Voss Mystic, now Heretical Pilgrim, has set out to explore the galaxy and learn more about the true natures of the Republic and the Empire. As a species, the Voss can be a hard nut to crack, this Voss is no exception. This Voss companion occupies a morally gray space, preferring pragmatic choices where the ends justify the means. She/he is opposed to gratuitous acts of violence as well as acts of compassion that complicate or threaten a toon's ultimate goals. This Voss would be more than willing to sacrifice civilians to advance the war effort, but would also consider torturing someone for no reason a waste of time. This Voss is often frustrated by the rest of the galaxy's inability to follow the Mystic's pragmatic/Machiavellian logic, but is curious to experience the galaxy at large. The Voss can come across as condescending and holier than thou at first, but will eventually warm up to your toon if you are willing to make the effort.

  7. I like to pretend that all of the characters in my legacy exist in the same universe or timeline, so when a single companion like the upcoming Ewok is released, it makes no sense to have her be a companion to all of my characters at once. It breaks my immersion. So far I've been able to work around this issue with HK-51, because HK-51 is a droid (reverse engineering/mass reproduction, etc.), but in the future I'd like to see more class specific companions released on the Cartel Market or as part of an expansion.

Note: I'd only like to see this if every class got a new companion at the same time--it is only fair.

  8. Male Inquisitors have Ashara, male Knights have Kira, male Warriors have Jaesa, and male Consulars have Nadia. Where is the Master/Apprentice lovin' for female force users? Apparently only male force users can build a force wielding dynasty? Seems a bit unbalanced, so how about a romanceable male apprentice companion down the line, eh?

Okay, I'm kind of posting this for laughs, but it is a bit unbalanced don't ya think? :p

  9. SWTOR has added two new companion characters since launch, HK-51 and the upcoming Ewok, so I'm just curious, what kind of companions and companion story arcs would people like to see added to the game in the future?

Feel free to be as specific or general as you'd like.

What race would you like to see as a companion?

What class/combat style would you like to see?

Would you like to see romanceable companions?

Would you like story driven companions?

    Faction or class specific companions?

    The sky is the limit!

  10. I'd play an Evocii. I think they look pretty sweet, but I don't know if it would work with lore. The Evocii seem a little backwater, at the same time, you see them working with Republic SIS, so I guess it could work.
