[What did you do today in swtor 50s?]

Depends if they hyped this bar for four years, said they are spending 200 million dollars on this bar, made you pay an entrance fee of 60 bucks then prepay 15 dollars an hour for being inside.

 

What do you think?

 

If you got a single toon to 50 in 5 days (120 hours) - You have paid $75 - You paid roughly $.60 per hour of entertainment. That is assuming no alts - and 5 days played.

 

Personally I find that an incredible deal.

Ignore the game haters. I run this game fine. Currently have the following

 

Dell XPS-L502X

I7-2620M

8GB, 1333MHZ, DDR3, 2X4G

Nvidia GeForce GT 540M

 

I have the above sitting on a cooler master cooling pad and connected to a 32" LCD running at 1920x1080. I can run everything at max settings with out any problems cept PVP. For FPS sake I run everything at mid settings - I get on average 40-50FPS at all times like that. With everything max I can get dips to 20 FPS during intense PVP. As a healer I prefer a bigger safety margin in the FPS area.

[Planet Level Idea]

Would LOVE a mentoring system like EQ2. Drops you down to the level of your friend. Would really be the best for this game. Then you can go back and do grey quests - run older FPs with friends - do world bosses legit - would be so perfect.

My Dell XPS system I bought for $1000 last August plays this game with everything max on a 32" LCD at 1920x1080. I just have shadows off to keep from FPS dips below 30

[SWTOR More Active Players than WoW!]

All I care about is me and my wife are logged in every single night and having the most fun we have had in years with a video game. We will continue to log in and continue to give Bioware cash as long as they keep SWTOR running. After 7 years with WoW we have moved on. Some of you guys should probably do the same. I know it hurts. It hurt when I left EQ. Sometimes though it is for the best.

WoW did nothing innovative. They only put it in a good package. But don't think they did anything remotely innovative.

I love my Jedi Knight. hunt around - there is some awesome looking gear out there. My guy pretty much looks like a M1 Battle Tank. I ditched the robes at lvl 24

How come I have to PVP for PVP gear. I should be given my PVP gear at 50 even though I haven't PVP.

[Rollback or Sub Cancellations]

Where is word on the needed Rollback? I spent 7 hours last night trying to complete the daily and get 3 wins on our server. I will not spend 7 hours each day just to complete the PvP daily. The dailys overall are just way to long to do that.

 

The problems with Ilum yesterday have upset the game balance completely and will not correct itself. We need a rollback and a return to the normal cool down graphics.

 

I am currently set to be billed for six months. I am going to change to a single month and if no rollback is provided it is quite possible I will say so long. I have little doubt reading these forums that others are doing the same.

 

Fix what you have done, please.

Exactly. lol I'm going to give this game half a year. If it hasn't improved to a more polished state by then. /shrug. But this game has potential, and I really want to see it succeed.

 

 

6 months is a fair amount of time for an MMO. Overall so far - this MMO has to be the most well put together and stable MMO I have ever played on release. Normally I do not touch an mmo the first 6 months. Usually a major train wreck. I have had some mmos wipe out my boot partition on my hard drive. Or uninstall my windows directory.

Bioware - This game really feels like a true labor of love. You guys took some huge chances with this game - basically betting the company on it.

I don't have any of these issues, and I'm using an old toshiba satelite.

 

Running off a mid range laptop myself and I haven't had any issues after playing for prob 200+ hours.

I PVP in games that require skill to do so. IE - FPS

 

MMO PVP is and has always been Gear over skill. Who ever has the best gear will win. When this changes I will PVP.

 

I play an MMO for the immersion into a fantasy world and exploring said world with alot of people.

 

That and PVP folks for the most part are the worst kind of people in video games. At least back in the UO days there was some respect between people killing each other. These days most people have zero manners, compassion, or respect for another person. Put them behind the anonymity of a computer screen and it just amplifies their character flaws.

This, but blizzard has made so many errors along the way that i no longer support anything they do, they just plain suck.

 

And for SWTOR, i will stay subbed for 3 months, i take it most of the annoying parts should be gone by then, especially when they have sold 2 million (?) copies already.

IMO all Blizz knows how to do is make the same game. WoW (I played for 6+ years) is basically just Diablo from a diff angel and spiffer graphics to me. Stolen ideas ripped from so many other MMOs and written in stone as their own. It is what it is.

 

SWTOR is the first MMO I have seen in years that truly has taken a chance and done something unique. For That alone they will continue to have my cash

You are not the minority - you are in the mature majority. Speak with your wallet - that is what EA/BW listens to. I will be giving them my cash as long as they keep delivering a great product. Which it currently is.

Wow - New content less than 30 days in! Sign me up! Ignore the trolls and the haters Bioware. Me and my friends love this game to death. Total of 10 wow accounts cancelled and moved to SWTOR and we all love it and will be sticking with it till the servers close. THANKS!

[This game has killed WOW...]

Me and my wife started playing World of Warcraft 2 months after it originally released. We each had 2 paid accounts the entire time. Both of us cancelled 3 of those accounts this weekend. My main account I have to keep because I signed up for that pay a year and get Diablo 3.

 

We got this game 2 weeks ago and for the first time since my original EQ 1 days - I am finding myself running on 4 hours sleep a day. This game is truly a breath of fresh air in the MMO genre I honestly had thought dead.

 

At this point Bioware has 2 paid subs with me and my wife for the life of the game.

 

Just please - fix the darn UI!
