  1. Armor searching is pretty easy. Just set it to "Armor" and then the class (heavy, medium, light or adaptive). You can search like that no problem or you can set it to search specifics (helm, chest, etc). Maybe you have a character in the name field?
  2. Also beware of the XP boost - You might level up quicker for a bit, but once you go over your 'rested' bar, you become fatigued and suffer accordingly.

You don't "suffer", you just get the standard XP instead of a boosted XP.

Clever players can hand in their missions, but not take the rewards until ther rested bar is at max too.

Clever players realize that rested XP doesn't make a difference to mission/quest rewards and only effects XP gained from killing mobs/enemies.

  3. Um no, F2P get less XP than subscribers, who are getting the same amount they were before the F2P came out.

[edit]Subs[/edit] actually are getting a slightly higher amount of XP than before. When the "who gets what" page says that F2P get less XP they mean than subs. [edit]F2P players[/edit] are the new "100%" rate, which subs used to have.

  4. While not.the literal mirror, smugglers are the spiritual equivalent so if it is.about mechanics make.a.trooper and.think it.a soldier of.fortune. if it is about the vibe/style pop a smuggler into BH esque adaptive gear

I think you mean trooper is the mirror, not smuggler. Smuggler's mirror the Imperial Agent.

  5. would like to see the bounty hunter class made into a neutral aspect that can go either way to imperial or republic.. i think i would make for a more dynamic game and add some interesting new aspects to that class. also they need to make a imperial trooper class for more depth. and it would give 5 classes for each side technically.. bh should still start in nar shadda. but if they choose republic the continue on to courascant and dromund kaas for imperial. wow wouldnt that be awesome.

It would need an entirely new story, and if they are going to go that far I'd rather a new class rather than the same class all over again.

  6. Another note about shields is that they do re-charge in flight, but not while you're shooting. So holding the mouse to shoot is a good move when you have something to shoot at, but be sure you aren't holding the mouse button when your shields are low.
  7. I liked the commission crafting in EQ2. There was no exchange of mats, it was just so much easier to hire someone to craft for you. All you did was stand next to them by a crafting station and start crafting, the mats automatically came out and you auto got the product. They need to implement something like that here.

I never got into EQ2 enough to see this, that sounds like an awesome feature! I'm shocked more games haven't borrowed the idea.

  8. That actually hurts you more than it helps. You end up clearing quests and moving to the next zone too soon. Eventually you will reach a point you can't beat a boss and have to back track to pick up the bonus series on a previous planet. Been there.

At the very least, always do the bonus of each quest. Those bonuses really add up. Especially once you reach 47 and can start doing dailies.

That depends on if you do flashpoints or PVP. I've been as many as 6 levels ahead of my "current" planet (based on class quests) on a couple characters.

  9. A major thing to be wary of is buying PC parts from Futureshop/bestbuy. The do not have fair prices 95% of the time. For that same price you could get a 6670 which would be decent enough for lower settings in SWTOR. The 6470 wouldn't cut it. Have a look at ncix or newegg.ca if you're in Canada.

As a price comparison for them NCIX has a 6470 on sale for $20.99 right now, so they have way nicer prices.
