  1. Well here's a question to you :

This mmo is the same as any other mmo. You either wait till new content, quit till new content or run the same raid over and over again till your brains turned into pulp.

I did the third on your list of "suggestions on what to do" in World of Warcraft.. but that as almost 3 years ago.

  2. When the day comes that you or I have 8 or 4 level 50s hopefully there will be some more content patches...or maybe an expansion pack?

I only have 3 characters so far, no quite at 50 yet.

I've had quite a few characters due to servers being dead.. and friends quitting the game.

  3. You're aware that each of the Advanced classes are basically a completely different class right? An Assassin doesn't play anything like a Sorcerer. A Mercenary plays nothing like a Powertech. Sniper plays nothing like the operative.

I'm not commenting on play-style.. (i'm sorry you got confused) just asking what I do when the CONTENT runs out.. not the class differences :jawa_tongue:

  4. There are 8 class stories btw...

8 class stories spread across 2 factions yes.. but there is still only 4 core classes..If i've caped a class why would I re-roll and play the same class just for new quests.. i.e. (have you ever maxed 2 of the same class on the same server in any game?? if yes.. why?)

  5. I have to say I'm enjoying the game and I have no axe to grind. Yes, there are some things that could be improved but there are many, many good things.

I see so many threads with posters claiming that they have unsubbed. Some even seemed to have unsubbed weeks or months ago. I'm always curious why they stick around.

If you are one of the people who played for a time, then decided to quit, please answer the following questions:

What are your top 5 reasons why you left the game? Why do you stick around?

Maybe we can get some good feedback by putting this all in one place and maybe we can clean up other threads by putting this all in one place.

Ironic how people who can't see this game for what it is want insight into peoples eyes who can. :csw_r2d2:

  6. I'm pretty bored of this game, i've played basically every class.. (minus the sub classes). I think i know the reason behind it but didn't understand it too well due to wearing blinders because of the Star Wars franchise. This game doesn't feel very Massive for an MMO, The way I looked at it was a way in which all of you should be doing. Look at SWTOR... REALLY look at it... besides the fact that EVERYONE is separated and on different spots of the story line.. It's nice for console games, that is the way they run.. but an MMO is much more than a standard console game, you're trying to get a hook in the mouth of your players and keep them for awhile..., this game did keep my attention a bit longer than previous MMOs, due to lightsabers, but in the end, it just feels like i'm wasting my subscription.. on average for a week I spend MAYBE 10 hours on this game.. 40 hours isn't worth 15 dollars especially if, at one point, i was playing wow for 14 hrs a day... (that game had something about it :rak_04:).

TL;DR: The last game I've played that mirrored this game isn't WoW but a F2P game called GW1 :).

  7. If every time i boot up this app on my HTC Android phone I get the response "An Unexpected Error Occured", is it REALLY "unexpected"?

    u scared bro:rak_02:

Why do you have a security key... besides for the vendor that has no items i'd use. (excluding the 'fast' fleet passes)

  8. Now this isn't a post to BASH Star Wars The Old Republic, I'm trying to understand why there are so many posts along the lines of "this game sux, i quit guys, i'm going hooome"

Does anyone know who that sounds like.... :csw_jabbapet:??

add Cartmans voice when you read the quotes...I guess THAT'S the reason I almost laugh when I see big walls of text about "their" problems with the game..

PRO TIP: If you feel like complaining.. write it in your diary.

  9. Its higher than that. They have sold plenty of boxes since the last numbers came out. I woudlnt put a nail in SWTOR just yet.

boxes.. subscribers... players that have a subscription still active but don't login anymore.. these are factors you have to consider.. you can't sift everything down to an average because that isn't the way things work.

  10. Hey all,

This thread is getting off track and we would like to ask everyone to please ensure your posts are constructive to the discussion of the topic.

We welcome feedback, provided it is constructive (This post goes into more detail about what we're looking for.) and that it is on topic to discussion of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.

As this thread is asking for feedback, provided it stays constructive and is centered around Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, we welcome it.

However, we do want to remind everyone that if you feel a thread needs moderator attention, such as being off topic, not constructive or in violation of any of the rules of conduct, to please simply report it. Posting in the thread as to why it is a violation is not on topic and only serves to disrupt the discussion and also bumps the thread. Reporting it will bring it to our attention much faster and will not disrupt the discussion.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding moderation on the forums, please send us an email with your feedback at communitysupport@swtor.com

That being said, let's allow this thread to get back on track. If the discussion continues to be off topic, we will have to close it.

    Thank you for your understanding!

    *teacher slaps student on wrist*

    the irony...

also please don't make it more obvious you have a mod/dev posting questions you guys should be asking.

  11. Twi'leks do not wear helmets or hats. The lekku, or tails as the ignorant people call them, are very sensitive and part of their brains is inside them. In fact, they are muscle, skin and brain. Twi'leks can communicate with other Twi'leks purely with subtle lekku movements. They are physically incapable, lore-wise, to wear anything constrictive or anything that weighs on them too heavily, the probability of severe pain or, in extreme cases, brain damage, is too high. A loose hood is the only thing they could have over the lekku without fear of causing brain damage to themselves. You could punch a Twi'lek on the lekku and they could literally die.

I play twi'leks myself and would never wear a head item, just like I wouldn't put a screw through my forehead as any other species. The lack of hood option for jedi/sith though is rather disappointing.

It's hard to make custom helmets for Twileks... special holes lined with the softest material the galaxy offers.. *gasp* that's too much to ask..

luckily my avatar doesn't have to worry about getting punched in the tails hanging from its head... :rak_04:

  12. Didn't they say they fixed this? Or are you complaining about your character stuffing their hair inside their hat or hood?

i can screen shot.. wearing some light armor I found just to see what it looks like.. while wearing my goggles makes me go bald... so "them stating" isn't a valid argument. Neither is being dismissive.. I pay for this game and am confused on how its still not working correctly after... eh, i lost count on how many months this games been out..
