  1. Has anyone noticed they are getting considerably less of CXP consumables from Command Crates since 5.7 patch?

I've gotten 1 since 23 January on all characters.

That or the RNG gods are pissed at me.

I still get plenty, my guess is that RNGesus isn't smiling on you.

  2. A couple of points that may be helpful. Any gear with stats will disassemble into UC's that can be used to purchase higher tier gear from the vendors on fleet, check the forums for complete details. Other items like the gear and weapon shells, reputation boosts, pets, patterns, and jawa junk will disassemble into CXP points if you decide you do not want to claim them. Claim any items you want to keep, like companion gifts and jawa junk if you need/want them. The CXP boost items stack in the viewer interface but not in your inventory. I usually keep two in my inventory and let the rest stack in the viewer interface, these do not give any CXP points if you disassemble them.
  3. Just to clarify something you have wrong in your post about Satele:

The daughter of Jedi Knight Tasiele Shan, who was herself a descendant of the legendary Jedi Knights Revan and Bastila Shan.

Remember it is about 300 years between SWTOR timeline and KOTOR

  4. Hey folks,

Ok, let's talk about what changed in 5.6 and what is changing in 5.6.1 since they are tied together.

5.6 - In this Game Update we removed the Galactic Command interface from the game along with changing Group Finder to Activity Finder. As a part of this change some Missions were removed from the game as they were explicitly tied into either Galactic Command or Group Finder respectively. This is why the Daily Mission to send you to the those areas is no longer there. The weekly is intended to be the "wrapper" Mission for all of the dailies in that area, which is a change we made coming off of the "bugged" CXP values previously. This was a part of the steps we were taking to re-balance CXP across the game but it was missing one part...

5.6.1 - The lack of that Daily Mission means you actually get less CXP than you did previously from the Daily areas, which is not something we want. In fact, we want you to get a lot more CXP from solo Missions in the game. In Game Update 5.6.1 all of the Planetary Heroic Missions and Daily Area Missions are going to have their CXP rewards tripled to 225 CXP per Mission (up from 75).

Our goal with this change is that both Planetary Heroics and Daily Area Missions are great sources of CXP for solo players. These changes in 5.6.1 along with all of the other increased rewards for both group and solo in Activity Finder means you can gain Command Ranks quicker than ever in whatever activities you choose to play.

    Thanks everyone.

PS – As an added aside… due to a separate change we made, each Planetary Heroic Mission will now also gain the bonus from the “Planetary Heroic Highlight.” Previously this only affected the mission which you gained from Galactic Command.

    Eric,

Thanks for the update, but I still have one question. You are increasing the CXP for each mission in the daily areas by another 200% from original value, this is great, but it sounds like we are still not going to be able to get a "heroic" mission for these daily areas once the weekly is complete, or am I not understanding your post?

Here is an example of why this is still a nerf if that is the case:

CZ-198 has 5 daily missions at 75 and lets add 110% for the Legacy 10% and the 100% buff

CXP would be 790(158X5) and with the "heroic" mission from the GC window with the 110% buff of 2363 that is a total of 3153 which we could get every day, the weekly mission was a once a week bonus and that will not change.

Now with the CXP buff with 5.6.1 the total CXP for dailies at 473 per mission with the same 110% buff we will be getting 2365 each day we complete the daily set. This is a nerf of 788 CXP per day.

Again, I am not including the weekly as that has not changed.

  5. Ok, time for the standard game after an update.

    What will the reply be:

    1) This was supposed to be in the notes but it was missed. I will get it added.

    2) This was being discussed but we did not know they were adding it to this update. I will get it added tot he notes.

    3) Let us look into it. Followed shortly by 'Unintended, it will be fixed in a future update.'

    4) Or the always classic: Ignore the thread/complaints/bug reports and pass it off as a feature, and hope the players get tired of trying to get a straight answer, or any answer.

I am wondering if not starting the double event got them caught. They figured we would all be bouncing from alt to alt doing double CXP stuff and not notice this change until after the event ended, buying them time to figure out how to spin it.

Option 4! This is standard course of action on ninja nerfs, no response from BW as it is working as intended.

  6. Another BW patch, another BW CXP ninja nerf. Yeah they are making the CXP grind faster, not. We lose the "heroic" CXP rewards while the CXP reward stays the same for the daily missions and the weekly on all the "Daily" areas. If you have the legacy perks(the 10% perks) pulse the 100% buff, that is over 2300 CXP per daily area when your DvL side is not victorious and over 2500 per when victorious. This is a very large hit with the CXP nerf bat, thanks BW. If you have the class 300 CXP level perk, that adds even more to the loss.

Have to wait until tomorrow to see if the "Heroic" CXP shows up after the "Weekly" is complete to see if this is just a loss when "Weekly" is available or an entire loss period.

  7. Very old gamer here, used to enjoy doing group content on SWG for building mando suits, corvette missions, and master pilot quests to get guild ships and the like. Then moved on to WoW and did less group stuff but was active in social guilds and helped when time allowed(family requirements increase as one gets older). Now with SWTOR I don't have the drive to do heavy group content(plus much older now so I get a bit lost/confused during high population combat..did I mention that I am OLD!) as I do not get the thrill I used way back when SWG first came out. I still have 3 accounts(addicted to SW I guess) but I found that doing the PvP was real easy and had no issues with nerd rage or "noob" trolling. On my account with 22 70's I just ran lowest geared character, lost huttball, won the attack/defend WZ and Odessan imp side. Done in about 30 mins, no stress and always finished in the middle of my team. On my account(this one) win no 70s I just ran my lowest character (11) as I figured with so few abilities, all I had to do was run around and push a couple of keys :), took longer for 3 WZs to pop than it did to complete them. On last account I just created a new character, got to lvl 10 and q'd for the WZ's. That character ended up at lvl 17 or 18 after the 3 WZ's and pvp rank 18, so all in all a fairly good time and I had all 3 accounts down in one afternoon.
  8. More than likely this will be another BW ninja nerf that they spun as a plus, happens way too often lately. I am sure our current UCs will be a 1:1 conversion come 5.6 and we will get a faked excuse that coding to double our current UC stacks was "deemed" too difficult. The rate of UCs from crates will be minimal and we can now look forward to an even longer grind to CXP level 300. But hey, this was great that we get UCs from crates now, right! Longer grind time = longer sub time($) and everything BW does lately is to increase EA's bottom line(CM gets constant updates and they even hired a CM design manager).
  9. We have to realize that in this time of "Populism/Nationalism" trolls/bigots/bullies/racists are empowered, and yes racism/bigotry is rather rampant on fleet chat. It is a sad statement on the times we are in. Yes this behaviour has always been present on online games but it never has been this empowered as now. As stated before we have do our best to ignore them and don't give them the feedback they desire. Yes, BW could do more but that is a thin line they would have to travel and may not be as clear cut as we would think. My advice, avoid fleet and gen chat whenever possible and get the mindset that these are sad and pathetic people, just don't drop to their level.
  10. look bioware all this maintenance crap should of been done and over with this mo9rning in the allotted 1zm to 1pm time frame that was givien this is total bs that we still can't even log into the game or our servers that we play on due to you there at ea and bioware taking your own damn sweet time! get with the program and get the damn game up and running for christs sake! yes i'm upset I have every right to be!
