Que synching in regs is not an issue, people just group up and que for regs, or atleast a portion of the team. It is a MMO so perhaps they are playing the right way. I would just join a guild that enjoys PVP, and then group with others.
-
To add to the beating of this horse; I don't mind playing with noobs or elitists. The only thing in PVP that drives me nuts is when people give up...ie...5 people defending a node bc they just want the match to end. PVP is the competitive side to any MMO so if you don't want to be competitive don't play it.

For PVE, and other content I would still say Madness. Really if you are just doing solo content, with a companion healing, there are times you only need force lighting or Aoe without touching another ability.
-
Alot of it is kiting and spreading dots...the force barrier is your lifeline along with phase walk. The static barrier was nerfed but still helpful with light armor. I have seen a couple of sorcs throw in w def augments but i havent done that. I am usually towrds the top in dps on the scoreboard but killing blows around 5 to 10.

I will typically do heroics and FPs to level my toon up and get that gear. Then will go back to the storyline with the better gear.

Thanks with harbringer down, i went through all the videos.
-
I wouldn't because the boost takes you to 238 or so.
-
Just finished the Iokath op, just in time. We didn't even get a warning during it. hopefully my character isn't screwed up in there.
-
Im on JC and been playing since release, but i've heard everything pops on harbringer including ranked pvp. Is it as populated as advertised?
-
It's all cyclical. Right now we are nerfed but will come back. I enjoy it because of the story and feel it's the class the storyline bends to. But yes in PvP we are definitely focused on but so be it.
-
I would get critical to 35 then do power and mastery.
-
The fact that you used "we" means you are completely biased and in favor of sorcs and even with all the proof in the world you would complain. I can still sorc heal in pvp and pve just fine. The nerf to heals was a joke. I have nothing against people playing sorcs, its the people who play sorcs because it is FOTM easy mode and when they hop onto another class they get mopped across the floor because they require a higher skill set. Granted sorcs usually make a jugg and guard their sorc friends. *sigh*
Also you may come to realize that everyone gets focused, and despite your sorc mentaility that you should survive a 1 v 8...you can't. If you can't escape focus on a sorc. A. Your team is bad. B. You are heals and everyone will focus you no matter the class (However sorcs are so godly it encourages the focus anyways) 3. You are not very good at a sorc, knockback root, bubble stun, phasewalk, force speed...you have plenty of escapes and barrier.
And sorry there is no story in pvp so don't use that excuse when you rotate between your 10 sage/sorc combo to get your dailies and weeklies done. You play it because the class is easy. The powers flow nicely, the endless pool of energy lets you cast freely how you wish for a long duration, and the unwavering loyalty of Bioware to back you makes the class a sure thing. If classes were cars everyone would want to drive a Mercedes Sorc. No one wans to get stuck with a Chevy Merc.
Negative ghost rider...one I only dps because in my humble opinion it fits storyline better...even for marauder and sentinel...I actually only have 3 sorcs 2 sages...I delete old toons...ie a Jedi knight when game first came out...what I disagree with is the PvP forums dictating classes when most do it for the pve...yes we needed a nerf but do we keep needing them? Never played a healer so can't comment
-
Stop whining...every past update we have been nerfed...which affects pve as well. I love rolling sorcs and sages for the story line...You get to on both councils...and yes I do PvP and usually focused most of the fights and stunned countless times...Njordburn was here Apollo legacy
-
To help with my legacy level I am running a new Sith Inquisitor and notice I cant romance with any of the females like I did with my main. What the heck. Balmora had a great story with it, along with the one where you get cult.

My 65 sorc dps Njordburn...would like to add these 2 weird groups from today...one random tactical hammerstation 3 dps...1 healer...quickest run since 3x...no wipes....did op kp...got invite...did it with ease...only one wipe...no biggie...the reason I put these hear bc groups are restoring my faith in groups...one not on tactical we used ccs like you are supposed to and op you interrupt like we should...posted from phone apologies for grammar
-
Technically you don't have to have one...look at fps....not sure how some ops would go though.
-
Njordburn
I like the new exp including the fp experience. I will admit it can be challenging depending on the group but at least it's a challenge again. I do wish they will shorten the tacticals instead of the full runs of old fps.
-
I love this post. I am a mmo vet and have played most at least once. One thing is I love is dps in arena and fp's...and honestly those are the easiest if you follow the simple rules. But I will say in swtor the fps or ops they are not straight forward so if a more knowledgeable person asks if everyone knows what they are doing I usually ask the questions...btw this is the only mmorpg I've committed to to the end

Good. All you scrubs using only force storm and force quakes in flashpoints and warzones, and thinking you're elite without having to worry about resource management, will now have to actually learn to play the class.
Sorcs and sages are still a great class. And their aoe capacity is still as good as or superior to every other class. It's just no longer a pathetic crutch. I love this change.
The tears about it are great, because all of you force storm fanatics that did NOTHING else the entire wz or fp were so infuriating to watch and so horrible at every other aspect of the game.
I love his quote. Im sorc Madness and we can still do AOE, but yes we do have more than 2 abilities.
-
I love madness, and always had. Yes we got nerfed some, but I still am usually top 5 in dps in PVP. But like any MMO its what you enjoy. I will say with normal PVE I really don't have issues, but I do space missions, the Warzones, and Flashpoints so by the time Im in PVE mode I am usually 5-10 lvls over for storyline.
-
I love my sorcerer in madness...instead of only using 2 buttons I have to strategize more...so be it...I still rank well in PvP and pve is not that hard with your own tank...I understand some frustration but seriously not that difficult...I don't lose in solo fights only when outnumbered and in PvP they definitely are still afraid
The ranked season is too long
