  1. Swtor also has:

    Destructible environment

    4 tiers of mobs

More vehicles (taxis and mounts) than other mmos

    Shielding/dodging in 360 degree radius

    Combat animations in 360 degrees

    Cover mechanic

Less rigid adherence to the mmo trinity than most mmos

Way more crafting diversity and gathering skill usefulness

    More diverse and useful cc

    Lightsabers

    Heroic areas/quests

    Surnames

    Immersive lore via codex

Everquest circa '99 had both Lightsabers (Warrior Epic) and Surnames (At level 20).

  2. Same as most MMOs. Player base doesn't hang around a long time while companies fix and tweak their products. Age of Conan, Warhammer Online also shared in that response.

What this game has on it's side is it's Starwars... People will play that franchise just because it's Starwars... Think of Starwars Galaxies and how empty and broke that game was at release and how many people kept playing it the first year.

  3. I think most the character models are silly. I've never seen the Star Wars cartoons but in the movies I don't remember seeing fat jedis.. now in real life I've seen fat people dressed as jedis...

Everything seems a bit emo for me and with the mohawks, dreads and Justin Bieber haircuts I've gave up on caring knowing that someone made the decision for the game to be like this.

  4. There's a lot of running in this game. So I am forced to spend a lot of time looking at the scenery as I run by. I can't help but think they got the character scale wrong. I think characters should be 25-40% bigger than they are. Currently I run by chairs taller than my character, and I run through doors that are probably 50ft tall if my guy was a 6ft. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a Korean MMO when my Trooper breaks out his 8 ft long laser gun as well.

Obviously not a game breaker, just an observation. I'm guessing the scenery builders didn't talk to the mob builder.

  5. Won't happen for a bit... why? Because they don't want to pull back the curtain and reveal the wizard. This mirrored classes bit really shrinks the class options... so to keep 8 classes they shouldn't allow dual specing. If they allowed dual specing then you would only have 4 classes which doesn't sound as cool as 8 classes!
