  1. So, as of now, the game runs pretty well. But I'm interested in finding out what should be the first on my list to upgrade so I can improve performance to top-level.

    Here's my config:

    Intel Core i5-2300, 2.80GHz

    ATI Radeon HD 5670

    8G RAM

So what should be the first on my list to upgrade? In other words, which of the above would get the most performance benefit from upgrading? And is there anything else I might need when I do upgrade it?

  2. Right. If the car you bought has a problem, you take it to the dealer shop and respectfully say "Hey guys, I think there's a problem with the radiator."

So the dealer shop who gave you a warranty will take it in, and spend however long it takes them to fix the radiator.

You don't walk into the shop and start crying on the floor about how your 7 year-old Honda hasn't had a radiator problem in years, and that means it's a better car, and why are you people doing this to me??!?!, Mommy I want my blanket!!!!!

  3. I defend SWTOR because it's a great game - WoW had a lot of bugs when it was released, that Blizzard ironed out over the course of its first year. That's just how MMOs work. Rift still has a bunch of bugs.

But I'm not "blind" - I posted a thread about a broken quest last night in the Customer Service forum.

I just don't have a high tolerance for people that want to whine incessantly. If you don't like the game, then fine. Go play another one. That's what everyone else does.

  4. Implementing brackets is a great idea - problem is, though, at this point with a small number of players, it would take waaaaay too long to get into a game.

Either wait to PvP until you get lvl 50 yourself, or go in knowing your disadvantage and being okay with it.

  5. I'm not a healer, and neither is my companion. So medpacs and obnoxious recharge times are the order of the day.

But how to heal my companion in combat with one? And is there a way to set him to automatically TAKE one when he reaches a certain % of life?

  6. And from what I've gathered from SWTOR lore, the Sith/Empire relationship is opposite that of Jedi/Republic.

The Empire was basically created FROM the Sith, the non force-users, etc. The Sith are the architects and rulers of the people. But the Jedi seem to come FROM the Republic.

  7. I didn't play much WoW, so I defer to you there, but that's why I put "bad guys" in quotations. Technically, there's always justification for both factions in an MMO, so there are no real bad guys... but there are always the sides with that stigma.
  8. Ah, okay. You're a Horde/Empire guy.

As far as story depth, the game's been out public for 3 days, EGA for about two weeks. Most people haven't played through a full story yet, much less two... and especially not enough to compare multiple stories from different factions. Too early to judge that.

  9. What this guy said^.

So he's level 50, lay off. I've got a demanding office job and I'm only level 13... but I'm not going to hate on the people who've had the time. Let people play the way they want to play. Stop being so hateful.
