    3 Things Steve.

    1) I didn't realize there was even a terminal there. Apparently neither did the whole fleet, on the couple of occasions that I asked in hopes that someone would know if I'm missing something, or guild members, or even a customer support person when I asked if this was intended or something that they just overlooked and they recommended I come here.

    2) You are F***ing awesome!!  It worked like a charm.  Thank you Steve!

    3) Hoping that others who transferred see this and it helps them too, cause I can't be the only one. Oh and did I mention you're awesome?

Sweet buttery jeebus thank you! I was just going through the same situation. 🤣

In case someone sees this thread in the future with the same issue we had, the terminal is in the Supplies section of your fleet and is a free reactivation for the stronghold.

    Thank you both! o7

  2. From inventory, either the stand-alone panel or the one integrated with character, it seems that compare isn't working unless you swap an item. Example: Pick up new gear. Hover over does not bring up the comparison. RClick to swap gear and suddenly compare works again. Close inventory, re-open, and the same behavior again.
  3. You're not a fool! If you'd seen gen chat just now you'd be in good company!

There is a new "menu" for the Galactic Seasons Objectives and it takes subtle to a new level. It just took several of us in General Chat to work out how to find it. It doesn't even look like a clickable menu item. Might be an idea to change this because it's all but invisible (unless there's going to be new achievement called "work out how stuff works & where stuff is in 7.0" :D ).

Picture in case others can't find it:

Came here looking for exactly this. Nice. 100% those "tabs" need to have borders and highlights to indicate that they're buttons. Thanks!

    • Playing on a big TV at 4k running an RTX 3080 (I'm lucky), and notice that when I open the inventory window there's a brief pause, like a stutter.
    • When I use the keyboard shortcut for "inventory toggle" configured in my preferences to use "b" it opens the panel, but doesn't close it. I have to manually close the panel or Esc it closed.
    • I ran SM Esseles and when the bonus objectives would update the text read "Updating Bonus Objective: u"

  4. Imperial Agent!

    - Sith Inquisitor story was not bad, and had some very nice parts to it.

    - Jedi Knight was... pretty bland. The interpersonal conversations were nice and I liked T7's story more than my own.

    - Republic Trooper is pretty standard. I didn't mind it because I was a female trooper just for Jennifer Hale's voicework. Kate Mullgrew was a nice random voice to find though.

I'm going to be running a Consular next so it was good to read that most people seemed okay with it (though it's no IA).

  5. The idea of giving an option to solely opt out of double XP events is a waste, but perhaps we need to look at this a bit closer because there is the seed of a decent idea in there.

City of Heroes used to have the option to shut off XP gains altogether and that might not be a bad idea to implement here in SWTOR. There are a lot of completionist types who want to do absolutely everything on the way to level up, but don't want to do it when they out level the content. Being able to shut off xp gains allows these types of players to do things like Heroics and Flashpoints while leveling up without fear of outpacing the standard content. It would also allow people like the OP to be able to control how much XP they gain during a double XP weekend, thus elimintaing this type of complaint.

I doubt I would use it, but I understand those that would benefit from it.

  6. anyone want another star wars mmo or more games like force unleashed and kotor 3?

now that there are more games coming out for sure under the EA banner I was curious if they should do more expansions or make a new mmo or more action games in the star wars universe?

Not another MMO at this point. No more Force Unleashed ever (terrible, horrible things). KotOR3... yeah, I would buy that... from Steam.

  7. (spoilery discussion of Makeb below)

There used to be a mission that gave everyone an almost-full set of Tionese gear at 50, but that's gone now.

For the Republic, it's a non-issue, since you can skip on over to Makeb, buy the shiny new mods, and be well above the 126 setup you started with as Tionese.

For the Empire... less so. You've got to fight your way through a bunch of level 51 goons, hitting several locations before you get to the base area where you can get new mods. I've tried it with a character in Tionese gear, but now I'm wondering how well that works for totally new 50s, who have the prior maximum upon hitting 50, which was like 116 or so, as I recall. Can they manage that crossing and those fights to get to the main base? The gravity hook fight was a little hairy with the Tionese stuff, so I'd think without that, the crossing could be pretty rough on Imperial characters without new gear.

As a 50 Assassin in mostly 47-50 blues it wasn't too bad. The number of "boss" ie: Gold mobs seems denser then on previous worlds. One of the first things they gave me when I got there was a green weapon that blew my old orange one out of the water.

Anyway, It's been... interesting. I like the expansion so far and I'm sure I'll enjoy it more once I'm taking a character from 1-55 rather than going back to a tactics required 'Sin after almost a year. I didn't know that Stealth was no longer suppressed but detoggled in combat.

  8. Most of my characters in CoX were females too. All of my Rift characters, most of my GW2 toons, and my Aion characters. Neverwinter they're mostly male, SWG they were all male, AoC were dudes, MxO was a dude, EQ was an Iksar so whatever, most of my tabletop characters are male.

It's concept, or armor design/sex appeal, or if there's an NPC I want to romance, etc. Lots of reasons. My Assassin was female because name. Knight was male for Kira. Agent is male for temple. Trooper is female for Jennifer Hale. Jugg will be male for disfunctional abusive relationship with Mako (though she will love me anyway). It all depends.

EDIT: Oh TSW had a male character, my only character. The models in that game were just... bad. So I went with a dude with the same general features as me (shaved head, glasses, dresses like a bum), and hit people with a sledgehammer.

  9. Get commendations and spend them on the Aim vendor. Then rip the mods out and put them in orange Droid gear.

^That. I have to do the same on my Agent (I presume SCORPIO uses droid parts) and Trooper (go get 'em ED-209 - it's a private joke between us. DON'T JUDGE ME!). :p

  10. Well... I'm not sure about their attitude. I mean, milage varies, but all seems to be on the up and up for me.

Memory leak fixed. No crashes to desktop so far. No launcher issues here.

The xpac is great by all accounts from those who tested and have seen it. The cost was minimal relative to the play value. New story new story, new HMs, new Ops, new gear, new skills, and additional gaming mechanics via the seeker droids... it all sounds great. I'll reserve final judgement but I must say I like what I'm hearing and seeing.

So... vent if you must but it seems like we are in the throws of much needed improvements and content updates. There will be some pain associated with change, but it is welcome as the game expands and grows.

Really, this said everything I could have. I had one server disconnect after the patch and since then everything has run very well. I did a mid-length session last night and the memory leak does indeed seem to be fixed.

  11. Both have their good and bad parts.

Looking back at SWG and remembering going to the UPS depot after work to pick up my pre-order collectors edition (of which I still have everything), gives me misty eyes. However, no direction (sandbox) would just make me crazy these days. Space was a separate expansion that was released years after the game launched. Jedi were unheard of (until long after launch). It was a completely different style of game, neither better nor worse than SWtOR.

  12. This is great news. Just do something else while the servers are down. Go outside and let the sun touch you, you might need it more than you think. Every patch that improves the performance is worth the downtime. I couldn't care less about cartel market related things though.

    Cheers!

Or, I dunno, go to work. It seems the game is always up when I get home.
