  1. Your ship is the place to travel the galaxy. Your home is the place to settle down. Play house, settle down, kick back and relax etc. As the ship droid says "its meant to be your home away from home" and your home will be strongholds, your ship is the home away from your home. Why? Because they would have to redo all the cutscenes for the ship and all that. I agree with the choice they made. Plus, they will keep adding other planets and they will have great, great views. I favor the Strongholds over the ships.

Just to voice my opinion through the words of another-- this is what I think. The ship is mainly where you live while you travel, while the stronghold/house is where you live when you want to "truly" be at home. I personally cannot wait for this, and think it's such an awesome thought. Housing has always been a way to increase immersion, and I think it's a step in the very right direction for MMOs nowadays, especially one with such an immersive setting as Star Wars.

  2. Because asking if playing a game is ethical FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER is redundant and idiotic.

It's a game. If ethics is your worry, work for Amnesty International.

Goddamit, somewhere in 'murica people are getting executed by inhumane drugs and procedures, WHILE PEOPLE ARE WATCHING, and you are worrying about the ethics implications of a FRIGGIN game.

    Wake up. You disgust me.

I think this basically sums it up entirely for me. Asking if it's ethically right to play SWTOR is completely redundant, and it's moronic for people to create these "hate" threads (if you'll allow me to use such a broad and extreme term) when what they write-- the content of the thread is just that. Hate, or dislike, based on subjective opinion instead of looking at it objectively. This game is great; that's what I think. That's my opinion. If you don't like it, don't play it. There is no reason to incite dissent for a game, or attempt to rally people to dislike a game when most of what people type here is mainly based on opinions. Another thing that I really dislike is that whenever someone complains about the game, they use the term "we", as if they represent the entire community, or a large part of it. The majority of the community likes this game, which is something one cannot argue, considering that they still play the game.

    It really is very simple:

If you don't like the game, don't play it.

If you like the game, play it.

We don't need to hear you start to question the moral compass of those who play this game (which, quite frankly sounds even more ridiculous the more I read the title.)

  3. People haven't given up on the game, but advertisements might have been switched out, and so on, but I see a lot of advertisements on sites for SWTOR now, "SWTOR GOING FREE TO PLAY" and so on. The developers are still working hard on the game, and reviews of the latest version are coming out quickly, guides on how to level up quickly are being made once more, to show to the new influx of players. The developers that worked on free to play were working on it while the devs were working on releasing new content, which they DID, with the updates that came with FTP.

There's so many of the posters that complain that take it way too far. "DERP; THE GAME IS DED IN -X- AMOUNT OF DEYS ANYWAY." and "IM GUNNA QUIT COS I LOST THE LOTTERY." My tip to you, read this and play for as long as you enjoy the game, and you'll see that new content, be it cartel items or new features, are on the way.

  4. One guildie of mine bought $120 worth of cartel coins.

A few other guildies bought some packages too.

That's over $120 that you didn't have before. I'm just imagining how much money was just raked in. This is going to be awesome! Can't wait to see how much more amazing things you can do with this game once you have a higher income!

    This. I can't wait, either!

  5. 1. Definitely some form of housing with decorations, like they have done it in LOTR:O for instance.

    - Maybe this, too.

5.) Guild Capital Ships - Floating museums of a guild's accomplishments, complete with cantina and unlockable mission terminals based on ops or PVP achievements. An intuitive way to evaluate a guild before you join, an excellent way for a guild to display their super-awesomeness, and a refuge from overcrowded (and laggy) fleets.

    2. A few new species.

    3. Barber shop would be very excellent to have in the game.

    4. Expansions with increased level caps and a chapter four.

    5. More developer interviews of them talking about the game and planned features.

  6. Really? Sadly with how f2p works, I'm not even going to try and convince my friends to come back. However I have managed to get a few people to try it out for the first time however not quite sure if they'll stick it out.

Yeah, I just believe that the restrictions that are too ridiculous, and all the kinks will eventually be worked out. As I've said before, this is an excellent start with FTP, and it's just going to be better. I'm just sick of all the complaints and whining- the kinks will be worked out, and this is a good way to start, and it is attracting a lot of players.

  7. you cant have the whole game with no restrictions for FREE, otherwise what would be the point for anyone to pay a sub?

if you want restrictions taken away then either pay the sub or use cartel coins to buy unlocks

    This.

I do however, agree with the fact that the FTP module needs a little bit of work. Like the restrictions on two chars could be expanded, or at least that you could buy more slots. And one more quickbar would make it a lot better for the FTP members. Other than that, I like it.

Edit: Also, purple items should be worn by FTP members as well. The game shouldn't be broken, and it shouldn't really be Pay To Win.

  8. Don't be so antisocial. So few people would continue to play the game or even subscribe if they were doing everything solo. All the Operations and WZs they are releasing adds to the MMO experience. If you like single-player games then do not play this game.

    Horrible idea.

I agree. Don't separate the two like that.

  9. We need more players who are enjoying the game:) We can't let that whine crowd to destroy this game which is slowly better and better:)

This, and a lot of other posts in this thread. Quoted for truth, once more. It's an immensely awesome game.

  10. Nice trolling man I am enjoying the read more with your posts. If you don't like the game maybe it is time for you to quit? I saw you have mentioned that your sub will end soon ;) Let us other players enjoy the game, we don't need another whiner who is threatening "DO SOMETHING OR I WILL QUITIZOR". Such behaving is not mature at all ;)

    Quoted for truth.
