  1. Its up to 1200 now out side wz however inside I'm at 1600 last I looked. Well it seems the commen consensus is that tank don't kill things in PvP however I feel like other tanks don't have this problem. Do they have summarily issues?

Why are people entering PvP without expertise cap? There is no excuse for such low expertise, regardless of DPS, Tank or Heal. Get maximum expertise please. It is priority.

  2. Thanks so much for responding. Which skills would I want Force Potency to be used for? In this build a lot of the DoTs don't benefit, and neither do the melee attacks. I'm guessing Demolish/Vanquish is one, and possibly FiB in the other?

Sorry about all the questions. Just trying to suck less in PvP.

Mainly FiB / DF and Demolish / Vanquish for FP charges. Shock is a lower priority if need be. I should also mention Shock can be used as a last filler to finish enemies out of range or if needed, to use the charge. Keep in mind it is not high priority. Also, FiB should also be used if you have dots on a target near other targets.

  3. Hey. Thanks so much for all the info. Are there any suggestions for Serenity/Hatred rotations in PvP? I find I'm doing plenty of damage so far, but I just wanted to hear from experts about what works for them personally. Basically I'm laying down Sever Force on someone, then Force Speeding into a group while using Force Breach and Whirling Blow to proc Mind Crush, then using FiB to damage and spread the DoTs everywhere.

I'm currently level 32 on this Shadow, so any tips for pre-60, and also tips for 60 would be greatly appreciated. It seems to work great when I'm not getting harassed, but if I get targeted I feel helpless.

Rotation depends on the situation but generally you want to get Discharge into Demolish going ASAP, then a Serenity Strike and Assassinate proc to follow and then a CT to keep them locked. Thrash for filler. Lacerate for AoE (2-3+ targets)

  4. How is they're survivability? Mostly for pve but some pvp. They wear light armor which sounds like they are quite fragile but i also read they have some life draining abilities. Are they enough to compensate for having light armor? ^^

Shadow / Assassin direct survivability is actually poor since we wear light armor. What is high is our escapes, which in reality is indirectly our true survivability. We are based on avoidance over taking damage. Taking damage and or mitigating it, is our last form of defense.

  5. Eh while I agree it's almost always situational, I'm gonna disagree and say on average there are cool downs you should pop before others. For example, I'll argue that you should use heals first usually. Why? Because when you are at low health, people target you. Using your health pack is actually an aggro drop in a way, and could prevent the need for an actual DCD. And besides, other dcds are variables, you cannot guarantee that they will be used to their full effect. While a med pac will be used to their full effect every single time.

I'm just talking out of my *** here, but I still think my points are valid. I bet an argument could be made to try to use mitigation dcds first -I just haven't heard that argument yet. I would bet that the top PvE players probably figured out the best "mathematical" way to do it...

Sorry to disappoint you but PvE isn't PvP. No amount of math can solve a variable mode which is why your question is illogical. Simply put; the best PvPers are those who are unpredictable. Swifty (I know, I know) said this a long time ago and what do you know, he was right. If you come into PvP with a set rotation, others can simply develop a formula to counter it - which is what wise PvPers will always do. This becomes very evident when it comes down to duels, although that itself, is unimportant.

What you can do, if you care for conversation, is to split the question into the formula as I posted above. Tell me what you're up against, what you have, what you don't have. What does your enemy have? Where are you? What warzone? What spec? What utilities? How geared are you? How geared is your enemy? What cooldowns does your enemy have? Did they get a lucky crit on their first hit vs you? What is their positioning? Are you near the objective? Are you close to team mates? Does your enemy have more than one nearby? Where is your PWalk?

You see where this is going?

  6. why dont u take shapeless spirit. obfuscation is good and all, but in no way does it hold more weight over shapeless spirit, specially in ranked. If your thinking about aiding in being kited, i can see that, but imo i feel reducing dmg taken specially when stunned and surviving a bit longer specially when most solo ques are 4 dps vs 4 dps and now its a dps race with who can live the longest.

    This has been answered already.

  7. Understood, so I guess the next question would be if you are mainly doing solo ranked were you chance of going up against a tank are slim (current trends) is it still worth it when tackling other classes (minus Sorcs). As you pointed out Sorcs and Tanks are the reason for the accuracy stat.

    Thanks for the input!

It is always worth it and overall a DPS gain, assuming your opponents do not die in 5 seconds. Even PTs have defenses against no-acc. Better safe than 'woops, there goes the hit that could've changed this game'

PvP, how many accuracy pcs are you talking about for hatred?... i wasnt running any @ first then been playing with stats here and there... need to kinda find a spot for this thing called accuracy ;D

Depends. I'd recommend just getting the implants over the enhancements; assuming you're swapping between all specs.

  8. Now I know that it will "always depend on the situation", but assuming a completely average fight - what order do you pop your dcds and why?

There is no 'order' to pop any DCD. It is situational and you need to have awareness of what others can and cannot do. You will need to be more specific.

    For example:

    - Is class X attacking me at A warzone at Y location?

(If so, then I need to use D based on the CD that he is using currently or I need to use C to get to point Z)

This is a very extensive question. Truth be told, there is no rotation for popping DCDs. That would be silly and your downfall since it will make you predictable.

  9. I do not understand the point of Accuracy for the hatred spec. Great guide as always and enjoyed the video.

1/2 your attacks still use melee attacks which are subject to debuffs from tanks + base consular / inquisitor dodge chance. You have to understand; missing is a gigantic DPS loss. It's a, could-have-been 11k hit etc. After a month of testing with no acc / vs acc, I can confidently confirm acc is a DPS gain overall, assuming your opponents are not globaled within the first 5 seconds.

  10. So for the pvp darkness, are you saying is best to go just the 7 pc and offhand(sheild) and everything else dps? And im talking about team / yolo not regs

It's better to just use DPS Stalker gear with a Shield Off-Handas Darkness for ranked. You shouldn't be getting tank tunneled. If you care to soak damage and perform damage taken records in regs, then use full tank gear with a dedicated healer.
