  1. Seriously. SWTOR has raised the MMO bar incredibly high. I can imagine the GW2 team at this moment wondering how the heck they are going to release their game and have to follow SWTOR. My guess is they will now push back production to give SWTOR a little time to cool off. However, I really don't see that doing anything in the long run. SWTOR has set a new standard in MMO's, and others will have to follow or be left in the Free 2 Play cesspool. Oh wait, GW2 will be F2P isn't it?

Anyway, I'm glad I am not on that dev team and have to follow this near perfect launch.

Star Wars is good, but the massive amount of group quests is annoying. I am OCD and cannot leave any quest unfinished. It sucks! Tons of people, not any willing to help in quests.

  2. But is there an optimal range? I know in DDO and Pre-Abyssea FFXI, that level gap was 3 for optimal XP. Is there anything like that in this game?

Say you are level 15. You would want to group with people between the levels of 14-16 for best performance and experience. You could go up to 13-17 though and still not be any worse off. Perhaps the 13 will slow you down if they are a healer or tank though. Anything higher than 17 is over the quest level and will begin to drain the experience.

  3. I'm just wondering if it is possible to level to the level cap solo? If so, is it possible for all 16 classes? Which may be better than the next in terms of soloing? Thanks for any helpful comment I may receive. I leveled a Sith Juggernaut to level 13 and find it very difficult to progress. Most quests require two or more people, which I can't seem to find. For example: Three Strong mobs is a definite death, even with my companion taking on one but we can take one down. Two Elite mobs is an immediate death before I can even take one down, even with my companion taking on one.
  4. Sorry, I should have said They are solable once you get your companion. I cannot remember when i got mine. so "technically" not soloable, but you CAN run it alone once you get your companion to help!

I do have a companion. The first group of NPCs killed me though. I used a medpac and it didn't help one bit.

  5. This here!

The beginning Flashpoints are EASILY 2-mannable!!

As for the later ones, not sure, not to that stage yet, but the beginning ones are technically one-mannable! (Black Talon being one of those!)

    :D

Can you explain how The Black Talon is soloable at level 12?

  6. If you are sitting at the major city for the empire you should travel back to the Imperial space station where that Talon quest actually is. You might have better luck finding a group there as that's where everyone doing that mission is.

Isn't that the major city? Where the load of crew trainers are.

  7. Server: Thana Vesh

I am sitting here level 12 in the major city for the empire and have been LFG for hours for The Black Talon. Why does it take so long to find a group for a quest such as this so early in the game? It really turns me off to continuing this game. There is no one willing to join my group and do this quest. The recommend of 2 characters is completely wrong. Two level 10 characters cannot do this quest. Based on the difficulty you probably need 3 level 10 characters each with their own companion being really 6 players.

All I want to know is how to enjoy this game more? I really like the game when I have a group, but looking for group for hours falling asleep looking for group is not fun. You can't look for group while questing on a different planet because there are other group quests there to complete (which are higher level.)

I also been wanting to get into a guild, but no luck. Do I have anything to look forward to? Anything that perhaps gets better? Thanks.
