  1. Im sorry if I skipped over it, if it was posted here as there is alot of information here.

is there a list (For Cypertech) of what can be RE'd to what? Sort of a check list. I am trying to work my way up to all the available patterns.

    Thank you for your time.

For cybertech, earpieces and droid parts can be RE'd into various prefix forms and armorings/mods will follow the linear path. But the market for crafting currently is not very good. You're almost better off just selling ship parts.

Was their any changes in RE with the new patch? I have spent at least 500k-700k and two weeks trying to get a Supremacy Nano-Optic Reslove and still have not gotten it... I know it is "random" but damn it.... I got to farm dailies, just to get the money... It is such a waste of time, and very frustrating... If they didn't make changes, I give up.....

No, crafting changes have not been implemented yet. Most likely it will come in the delayed 1.2 patch.

  2. The way crafting works in this game, mastercraft (or just T2 crafting in general) items are generally meant for people to gear up before they head into HM FP or operations. The tertiary stat gains (you gain accuracy, surge, shield, presence, alacrity) from T2 prefix do very little in terms of overall dps on an item you can easily replace in a few levels. Also the sheer number of tertiary stats you gain on a level 20 item is very small (~5 compared to ~40 on a max level item). Another thing to think about is the likely hood of learning the schematic for the stat you want. It's just a big credit sink which you should be saving for your speeder anyways.

You don't gain more of your primary stat when you learn any of the upgraded schematics which in the end is what matters the most.

Honestly, if you want a really nice item to level with that is worth the time and effort. Just learn the T1 prefix (power, crit, defense), which I would recommend getting power, and try and get an augmented version of that item. It's not purple, but it is just as good for leveling purposes.

  3. TrueDND: Currently, the incentive to choose other Crew Crafting Skills outside of Biochem is minimal due to the fact that, once you reach max level, all gear that is acquired through PvE and PvP is better than all crafted equipment and mods (mostly through the Commendation and token vendors). Is this being looked in to?

Georg Zoeller: Absolutely. With the upcoming Game Update 1.2, we are adding endgame crafting for all professions. This includes augment crafting, the ability to crit-craft custom (orange) gear with augment slots, new endgame schematics, new color crystals, expanded and improved research and reverse engineering and much more (we're up to 4 pages of crew skill related patch notes in 1.2. alone)

Combined with new features such as the ability to extract base-mods from purple items (including the set bonus) and the improved color matching feature, crafters of all professions will find themselves in a lot of demand once the update hits.

Just some points reiterated with a few tidbits of new information.

  4. How about ops drops? Any boe Hilts ppl might sell?

Best you can get by yourself is the one mentioned from daily commendations (same level as Tionese). The Columi/Rakata weapons have better hilts but are currently locked to the item.

  5. I am wondering, can anyone confirm that it is, in fact possible to critical craft an orange item?

I looked through the previous patch notes looking for anything regarding a change to make them possible to critically craft but haven't seen anything, despite talk in the first few posts of this thread that it was now possible.

Currently, only orange weapons can be crit crafted (augment slot) both guns and lightsabers. But BW has mentioned that in the next big patch in March that orange armors will be able to get augment slots also.

  6. The gear will be for tank (with end, strength, and maybe defense/shield or defense/accuracy), and i would like to RE the green one (following the prefix path), but it seems the trainer can only teach a green schem with end/strength/defense and... surge

    What have i missed ?

Check a couple levels down. There's a recipe for a Nerve Dampening module or something like that with the stats you are looking for and has a lvl 47 requirement.

  7. so, happy days...or not. I have now had 4 purple schematics "evolve" off of the blue critical schematic, and ALL OF THEM are leadership (which I obviously do not want). After about 100 blue crafts I am thinking I hit a "bug" and am tired of wasting resources.

Nope, just keep at it. I have that recipe for the exact item you have Fervor Ion-Charged Power Device. I was going for the crit/surge version as I've learned that there already is too much accuracy on smuggler/agent gear and in general surge is a more useful stat to obtain.

  8. Aye I have a mastercrafted focus already. I want to know about the relic because otherwise I really don't feel like farming biometric alloys.

Yes, you can crit an augment slot on relics. A newbie I was doing dailies with just dinged 50 and went 2 for 2 on his Rakata relics. Some people have all the luck.

  9. I have re 110 supremacy dark synth boots which are artifact level 49 items. If I keep going should I get a legendary schematic or is it possible to get a t3 item. Otherwise do I have to buy level 50 schematics and the tier 2 version will be legendary???

There currently are no legendary items in the game. Best you can get with RE is a T2 with augment slot.

  10. Can't say I agree with this. The last seven crits on an UWT mission (with a companion at max affection) have yielded 100% Synth recipes. Over the last week, I've gotten four Armormech recipes out of the last 15 recipes which calculates out to roughly 27 percent of the time.

You don't have to agree with it. I stated "in my experience". RNG happens differently for different people. Three of my guildmates have hit Battlemaster without ever seeing a weapon while one guildmate, who hit Battlemaster today, has gottan literally 10 of them.

  11. Hahaha my crew are always bringing me orange synthweave schematics from UWT. And I'm an armormech.

Funny thing is, I usually just vendor them since orange armor is pretty well useless.

You should probably hold on to them at least til 1.2 patch when orange armors can crit. I see an increase in demand when that patch hits.

No you cannot craft it any further. Crafted gear is at best on par with tionese gear at the given time unfortunately.

It depends on what is available for crafting and the PvE items from the vendor. As a cybertech I was able to make a mastercraft earpiece that is better than Rakata in all areas of stats sans endurance (but who cares about endurance as a PvE healer)

  12. 2 - As a Synthweaver[400] I'm really not happy about the lack of orange schematics. We were told those will come from "Underworld trade returns" but so far all I've been getting is armormech recipes. I was really hoping that by now, I'd have full sets in orange, and the only one I have is the Anointed Zeyd-Cloth, and that's just the head, chest and lower.. no gloves, boots, or belt.

Well, in my experience UWT gives 50/50 armormech and synth recipes. The best way to get the recipes is just to check GTN once or twice a day. And all the sets come with max 3 pieces and it's always helm, chest, and legs.

  13. Can I take the crystal out of say a Columi lightsaber and RE the purple crystal to learn to make it?

So far there hasn't been any confirmation about learning schematics from items "in the wild". You can only learn from trainers and the clickable item schematics. Feel free to test it though and report back.

  14. You'll get Reflex Barrel 23 from the trainer, just like you got 22.

Although I'm not totally sure about Armstech, but for Cybertech you can only get up to 22 via trainer. What really sucks is that you can get a 23 barrel/hilt/armoring through a few daily commendations.

  15. At the moment i have some diferent artifact ear scematics and i want to get more. But i have the felling thet the more secematics you have the harder it is to get new one. I am working on a accurany / crit cuning item and it just dont want to RE from [Critial] to [Frevore] i am at over 100 [Critical]s REed. None of the previuse scematics took so long.

Did Bio shange the chance overall if RE or is it realy that more scematics you heave the harder it is to get new ones?

I found no correlation in the amount of recipes I had and the rate at which you learn new ones at. I have a bunch of artifact recipes and it's just RNG.

To fenrawr: Nice, but this was confirmed like two weeks ago. It's in the guide right on the first page, but thanks for showing off.
