  1. You realize that 2 of those (in combat knockdown/pull) are deep tank spec... and that the "6 seconds of invincibility" is TALENTED (again tank) to "5" seconds from either 2 or 3. That "invicibility" is actually just immunity to force/tech attacks. Its really only "invincibility" against sorcs/sages (pure force AC). On the knockdown, its 30 seconds and lasts 2... can only be used from stealth for most sin/shadow. Deep tank lets it be used outside of stealth.

     

    Deep tanks gear/spec tend to sacrifice burst/damage for survivability/utility. A pure burst DPS shadow/sin will only have the sprint from your above list. And again... its only force/tech (not weapon/pyshical based) attacks. If you haven't figured out by now not to use tech-based attacks (yet alone which of your attacks are even tech based....) against a sin glowing purple, or a shadow glowing yellow... I don't know what to tell you. Either run away or use weapon damage based attacks during that time.

     

    the current pvp build with the sin is hybrid darkness/madness,i dont see a deception assasin since from a loooong time. i can still dish out a very good amount of dps while having an insanely good survivability,force shroud removes all the dots on you and makes you immune to force and TECHS attack,that means that you are untouchable by sorc-BH-and rage specced juggs.

     

    plus why the hell are you explaining to me what to do to face assasins?

     

    i just stated a fact

     

    beside the slighy more powerful opener and the (lol)heals assasins can do anything better than ops

     

    if you are wondering im not claiming that assasins are op,just that right now ops are terrible

    I believe you mean 4seconds of invicibility for Maras/Sents which halves their HP when activated also? :p

     

    i was actually talking about force shroud,wich instantly dispel any dot and makes you untouchable for 6 seconds with the tank spec(with the exception of melee)

    yep unlike assasins ops do not have

     

    sprint

    pull

    knockdown

    6 seconds of invicibility

     

    and insanely good dmg mitigation

     

    ops just have damage

     

    that with the surge nerf is pretty much non existant

  4. You know, I've rolled a new toon and I'm starting over in the PVP brackets. There are very few Sorc/Sages. For the past couple nights, 50% of the team is a Trooper/BH.

     

    I think the OP is missing the boat. Once you hit lvl 50 and things end up getting balanced out, the sorc isn't OP. In fact, Sorcs are some of the easiest people to gun down. Trying beating on a Merc, PowerTech, Jugg, or Marauder at 50. LOL.

     

    Sage/Sorcs represented the sterotypical caster/healer when this game went live. Not to mention they are force users in a Star Wars game. The "surge" of people playing Sorcs has very little to do with them somehow being OP and way more to do with how people perceived them.

  5. No, just no. BH's are already the easy button and there's to many in game. I'd personally rather you lose things then gain them. You want to jump around? use your 1 spec and enjoy.

  6. with the surge nerf arsenal alredy lost a lot of dps,(our damage is still good,but the nerf was harsh)

     

    i think that this is something that should be added to the mercenary only and specifically arsenal since pyro is alredy a lot mobile and PT have alredy 2 moves to close the distance with their target

     

    i agree with the poster above

     

    braindead ppl claim that we are op because they dont know to use that shiny ability called interrupt that everyone can use beside us

     

    and there is not anything that feels unique about the bh when the sorcerer and the assasin has everything and more

  7. A couple things that you need to understand.

    1) T1 and T2 sets are granted, thats it, T3 set is a bonus and treat getting it as a bonus, not as something that you deserve just because you que wz 24/7 or farm ilum with your imp zerg.

    2) This is how the gear progression works and how is supposed to work. Why do you think that Heroics do not drop rataka? There is no point going there when you have all columi already, so you need to move on to hardmode ops to progress more. This is the reason why battlemaster bags are here. Or you want to give free rataka to people every X heroics?

     

    Yes, it is a mindless PvP if the sole reason and your only purpose to PvP is to get that one more item, and another, and then another. You are not PvPer then, you are PVE player that just rides on easy PvP gear train(yes, it is easy to get, even if its a chance, you always put the same effort to getting it, regardless if you are level 10 without AC or level 50 with 100 valor rank, effort to get pvp items stays on the same level).

     

    Stop feeling entitled to everything, you're not. BM is a bonus, not something you should be handed to as soon as you AFK wz or Ilum killtrade to rank 60.

  8. is that hard?,why bioware doesnt allow to trade a tot of champion commendations for a battlemaster one?,i have more than 1000 champ comm in my bag,and they are just rooting there without purpose.

     

    why do not allow to trade 100-150 Champion commendations for a battlemaster one?,I mean after having wasted an alleluia of time doing dailies and collecting crates on ilum we deserve some sort of consolation prize or better something that doesnt make our hard work useless at all.

  9. Assuming skill, level, and gear are equal can an Arsenal Merc beat a Sorcerer 1v1? There is this one Sorcerer I keep on playing against that just wrecks me in Huttball. My merc is an alt, so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

     

    The Sorcerer tends to interrupt my casts then uses LOS until his interrupt is off CD again.

    If I try to run up to him to knock him off platforms I'm at 30% HP by the time I can get in range.

    If I try to just nuke him I can't get him past 50% by the time the only abilities I have left to use are Tracer Missile or Power Shot, which just get interrupted.

    If I get the jump on him, and am winning he'll simply stun me then force run out of range then heal up.

     

    I'm certainly not advocating that all classes should be balanced in 1v1. I'm pretty sure that my role as an Arsenal Merc in Huttball is to control the center and defend, not get caught up chasing Sorcerers. I just wanted to check with the community however to make sure it isn't just me.

     

    TL;DR version: Arsenal merc does great until I get attacked by a Sorcerer, anyone else have this problem?

     

    arsenal is a bad spec for 1v1,if you think that only sorcerers are giving you trouble,you have not faced a good marauder or a good assasin

     

    anyway,you have to learn to fakecast to defeat a sorcerer as arsenal,make him waste his interrupt then nuke him down,activate every relic or adrenal at your disposable because their dps and survivability is higher than ours

     

    ill suggest to swap to pyro,if you are serious about doing 1v1 MU

     

    arsenal is very good until someone decides to take you down

  10. l2P arsenal mercenaries are utter trash on 1v1,if someone is shooting missiles at you and you are not

    you DESERVE to die,if tracer missile gets a CD it will destroy our spec,every single ability of arsenal is reliant on tracer,by nerfing tracer you dont just nerf the ability you nerf our entire spec

     

    our only defensive cd is a knockback,we dont have any lolwut sprint,no snare,and we are the only class without interrupts

     

    wanna nerf our dps?fine but i demand an huge increase of survivability because with heavy armor that in this game doesnt matter anything with all that armor penetrations talent around there and with a crappy shield with 2min CD i dont want to lose my single utility.

  11. You know why I have to pop Saber Ward, Cloak of Pain (-20% damage), Force Camo, Undying Rage (at 20-30% hp) to be able to win a 1v1?

     

    Because sorc and BH opens up with snare from 30m, spams attacks that hit similar as my melee hits, knockback when I'm there, stun me when I'm there again, bubble up, and STILL didn't use any longer then 1 min cd.

     

    Even my 10 meter range skill needs rage that a marauder/sentinel can only get when he is in melee.

     

    So I'm OP, because I had to use up ALL of my defensive cooldowns for 1 fight, where the BH is still pressing Tracer Missile-Tracer Missile and hits what 2.3k?

     

     

    Problem is this: melee has only 1 way to deal damage, at 4 meter range. Ranged cringes at the thought of being in melee range, so he wants to do everything to get out of it, and cryes, when melee asks for tools to get into said 4m range.

     

    Currently number of tools for ccing melee >> tools for gap closing, staying in range.

     

    im an arsenal mercenary and for your info we dont have a snare,and if we are casting tracer missile why the hell you are not charging us?,knocked down?,go in stealth mode and return in melee stance,use your interrupt and bam you are dead,you dont even have to use your defensive CD to brign us down

     

    stop talking things you dont even know about!

    there is actually no class that we can beat 1v1 besides snipers and juggs

     

    our only defense is a knockdown that is only useful on huttball...

     

    ..and if we get interrupted we are dead.

    i rolled PT the difference is like day and night

     

    funny thing is there are guys who usually smashed me in a duel as a merc that called me a noob that does not know how to use his class

     

    now that Im PT the same guys are getting facestomped by me and starded to claim that my class is too freaking op and that i should feel bad for playng this class.

  14. I am ripping through people in PvP. Every now and then I come across someone in clothe that I can't seem to do any damage on but for the most part I am ripping through people very fast and it takes a good bit to take me down too. Anyone else loving the Power tech pyro builds? I'm usually in the top 3 after every WZ as well. I love this class in PvP guys!

     

    Also, I hate to say it. but eventually, we are going to be nerfed guys. Enjoy it while it lasts...

     

    no we are not going to receive any kind of nerf,pyro pt has the best dps of PT spec,but you lack a lot of utility,and besides that,you are just not going to top the damage that an arsenal merc or a madness sorc with equal gear can unleash on the battlefield.

     

    PT are probably the only class in the game that is perfectly fine as it is.

  15. Mercs are insanely strong in PVP. Probably the strongest class in PVP overall.

     

    Heavy armor mitigates sorc/sage damage by the way. And no one cuts through heavy armor like mercs.

     

    Along with defensive cooldowns, a perma -10% damage taken, an array of punts/stuns to deal with melee and extreme single target and aoe burst and sustained damage - I do not see why any merc can complain about the class.

    no it does not most of the sorc sages attack are internal and elemental

     

    you get 10% damage reduction for 15 seconds only if you land 5 tracer missiles

     

    play a merc and see how strong arsenal is against a melee class or worst a sage

     

    the only utily of merc atm is being an artillery gun,you dish a lot of damage but when the enemy notice you,it's over.

    to reach melee with an assasin or shadow you have

     

    stealth

    force pull

    force shroud

    sprint

    vanish

     

    and with an interrupt you can shut them down permanently

     

    not to mention that you have a knockback a stun and a CC like us,we dont have anything that you alredy have

     

    1v1 arsenal mercs are the worst class outthere if you dont believe me roll one,and when you will get facestomped by everything that is not a sniper or a juggernaut you shall realize how much you are wrong
