This thread should probably have a spoiler warning.
In the scene with Kaliyo there are one LS and two DS options. I tried all three options (using ESC) before making a final decision. The LS option results in disapproval from Kaliyo. The DS option of telling Kaliyo to do it herself gives a warning that Koth will remember your actions. I did not see a similar warning for the option of pulling the trigger yourself. (I know it makes sense within the story for Koth to be just as angry but there was no warning -- or if there was I didn't see it, I will confirm when I play through again.) I guess this is what the devs were referring to when they told us choices matter. And while that is great story wise, I was a little disappointed that Koth was still unavailable outside the story because he's the only one I've leveled to 50. For those of us who did not use the companion gift exploit, it's quite a grind to get more than one or two companions to 50 so I focused on Koth -- and now he's gone. But Lana's email gave me hope! I have a feeling I'll get Koth back. But it makes me wonder: what if we spend a lot of resources leveling the influence of a companion who is subsequently killed or removed from the story for good. That would be disappointing.
I you ever get a CM companion, level that one to 50, guaranteed that it'll never go away.

Well, there WAS a bug with the emails you got sent when you started KotFE (and if you dont' know what I am talking about, you may be bugged like me) that they didn't get sent. While the bug has been fixed now, it's not retroactive.
That said, I've heard that if you flirted with Theron too much during SoR, then Kailyo will send you a reaaaaaaly nasty email. But again, they were bugged at KotFE launch and it was a crapshoot whether you got the email or not.
Banged the teenager on Makeb, and did Lana in SoR, Elara acted as if nothing happened in her mail to me, when KotFE started. Honestly, it's a hit and miss, if even.

I have to pose a counter argument for this thread. It is just something to consider. Sure if people don't like the chance cubes, then do don't buy it right? Simple, huh? Well how will those people obtain the new pack items from this point forward (including future packs)? If no one buys them, then there wont be anyone to list them on the GTN. The ones on the GTN are function of people who actually buy them. I've always got a kick out of those people who tell everyone not to buy packs and only buy them from the GTN.
So this issue of not buying packs leaves the people wanting the new items completely without an avenue to get them. Sure, we shouldn't buy them just to show our displeasure with devs trying to screw us over, but lets face it, who do you think is going to win. The people who want the new items are sort of stuck in a catch 22. They screwed out of real life money if the buy, or can't complete their collections if they don't buy.
If it becomes obvious that people want the items, and not the new pack format...I would imagine someone at BW will begin to realize that the negative impact of the new format is preventing sales.
The best thing to happen is if there are hardly any listings on the GTN, that will be a great display of the flaws of this pack.

Until BW indicates otherwise, HK-55's story finished when he died.
He was brought back as a sub reward because he was popular, and BW never misses an opportunity to try to squeeze money out of something people actually like.

I initially chose DS but later decided that choice did not suit this character (though I plan to pick it on some others), reset the mission and went LS. At the ending cutscene they did talk about using the Gravestone to strike against Arcann's fleet, but there was no details of the timeframe (though it was implied to happen soon) nor who would be doing it. I guess that's where Koth went anyway. Would be nice if it was listed in the interactions section of the contacts window.
If you went LS, he should have stayed.
As another noted, have you done other DS choices? While talking about the burning worlds, did you choose an option that Koth didn't like?

Grand Chance Cubes replaced new stuff in packs, and seem to be the main loot drop at this point. They offer older pack gear, but tends to be useless crap like emotes, titles, etc.
Essentially, new packs rarely contain new items, they mainly contain stuff from older packs, which defeats the purpose of getting the new pack for, well, new stuff.

To be fair, they did say there'd be a break during the holidays.
...Although most people initially assumed it'd be a month or so without a chapter, not friggin' 4 of them...
Can't remember which live stream, but they did say a first that Ch10 was in January before they changed it to February.
I wish they forbid to create new threads in this section. Too much whining and nonsense...Then why do you look at this section?

The certificates still exist and ironically, you can obtain them by using one of the items found in a casino--the slot machine.
The drop rates may be lower than what you would like, but you CAN still obtain the certificates.
This is no longer a viable means to obtain certs. It was heavily nerfed.

"Many" is subjective.
I hate his guts and I hope he dies a painful, agonizing death, but the little **** is still with me because I am a LS player. Kaliyo on the other hand didn't feel like sticking around it seems, lol.

I always thought that all these lockboxes for real money is gambling and should be treated properly. Don't know why it hasn't happened yet.

They were practically removed a long time ago. 4.0 was the nail in the coffin, and slot machines were nerfed to oblivion.

At the moment, he is just something to be milked due to popularity.
Personally, I think he wasn't meant to come back at all (we did leave his remains after he was destroyed - with zero explanation on how we got him back), and the only reason he did, was so BW could milk him as a sub reward, and to try to see how many people will pay big money to do his bonus chapter in August.
