  1. Every profession has it except Armstech.

The ONLY solution is a Level 60 Barrel.

Yes, that give you an incentive to take all professions and having to make a choice. I would also like to see each class to have a BOP best in slot for each profession so we don't class/profession bias.

  2. Guess you'd be ok putting Valor requirements back onto the new tier of pvp gear then? If you want something for your time and effort and all that...

I really hope so. I would contrast this for anyone who played WoW from day one and how the game changed after the release of Burning Crusade. This killed the game in my honest opinion because it make guilds highly devalued and made all the hardwork and nights of raiding and wiping to learning the content worth almost nothing as greens I could get in the first BC zone put them to shame. I am not saying we should not have gear progress but you need to make sure you do not alienate your player base who supported you and put the effort in to accomplish the goals you set forth.

  3. If you're not wiling to put the effort in to obtain the stuff, then you don't deserve it.

Stop trying to change the game just because you don't like something.

Exactly, I don't want this game to be easy-mode. If I am going to be on a treadmill, I want to have a sense of accomplishment for the effort and time I put in.

  4. Is republic awful at pvp on all servers or just mine, Arkanian legacy? We seem to lose about 70% of WZs. Any tips? Advice? Although I guess it may because no-one seems to heal/bubble and 40% of players are sentinals.

Come to Infinite Empire. We are outnumbered and we are beating there pants off.

  5. IMO, it would be better "for everyone" to make them tradeable. Pvprs can buy them, raiders can make mula, and crafters that have a small guild can get the resources they need.

Your logic is sensible but the problem I am seeing is the lack of participation in end game raiding because PvP gear is so easy to get and so useable in raids. If this was changed I could agree with you.

One this does and help get people to participate in guild content raiding. Guilds should matter and in this type of game, you need a guild to effectively kill raid bosses. Being in a guild means you have some allegiance to someone other than yourself. Having items like this that are only obtainable through this form of social participation. It helps make guild relevant and I find a guilded player is usually a better player when it comes to working in a team framework and that makes the overall experience to everyone better and that keeps these games fun and sustainable.

I want guilds to matter and I see this move and a way that not so.

  6. Most players who are complaining about this have chosen biochem(well accepted to be the best pvp crew skill). The money you save on buying matts by going with rakata is just staggering.

So yes, let's get that out of the way. Financially there's a *huge* advantage to getting rakata stim/adrenals/medpacks.

The real problem for me is the game forces you to group with others once you hit 50 for PvE. I took pride in leveling my scoundrel to 50 all solo, only to find to get an item I needed for use in pvp(see above) required me to group with others for.

People who are saying suck it up, should really be a little more sensitive imho. There are plenty of scenarios in the real world where we have to do things we don't want to do...I don't think games fall into that category. BioWare has already made several positives steps when it comes to PvP, and I think they should re-evaluate this scenario as well. There's no reason like was suggested that they couldn't make it so we trade commendations for alloys. The door swings both ways; What do the PvE players care? You're not fighting us in PvP anyways.

SUCK IT UP. Not everything needs to be a on silver platter just cause "you" or others like you don't want to raid. I don't care and Bioware should not either unless "they" decide they want too. Just cause you consider yourself a PvPer doesn't mean the game should bend to your will so you can only do what you want. This game should reflect some of the same difficulties in "Life", you have to make choices. Your free to voice your opinion of course.

  7. **** sake, I gave up cybertech to max out biochem and bioanalysis just for re-usables, took ages to get >.>

I leveled Slicing to 400 then *BAM* - nerf hammer. So I dropped it and respecced.

When you guys took Biochem and you could see how powerful it was, you should of also of known that it would be brought back into balance so please don't be surprised.

This was very powerful just as Slicing was once very powerful.

  8. Being a lvl 50 Sage Healer and I never use Nadia. She takes too much power to keep up and breaks Force Lift all the time. Iresso is a great range and close combat. I use him for wiping through Elites. Even having Nadia with great gear she is no match to Iresso in tanking. Just my 2 cents.

You can turn off the AOE abilities on all your companions.

P.S. There are awesome crafted Techblades for Q. I have great epic mastercraft blade.

  9. So you're saying all pvp should be counted as 1vs5? riiiight....

I have NO battlemaster gear. I eat through battlemasters. I have 3 or 4 pieces of champion gear, only 2-piece bonus, and some expertise relics and centurion + champion earpiece/implants.

My character should be struggling at best to kill any battlemaster enemies, but no, i eat them alive. I eat everyone alive. If i had a partner, then WE would eat everyone alive.

Right now SWTOR has no form of coordination in pvp. There's chat, which people often have off in warzones, and which requires typing, which takes time. There's no ingame voice system. Warzones lack coordination in their entirety. Warzones are NOT pvp. you can't queue with an ops group. The best hope you have is queueing with 4 people with some pvp gear each and attempting to carry the team in spite of trolls and/or plain stupid people who involuntarily ruin matches. If you could queue with a full group of 8 people with instant voice coordination, then I might consider it pvp. I know about vent and teamspeak and raidcall, but that doesn't matter if you can't have the entire group in the channel coordinating. PvP is not one group madly rushing towards another group madly rushing towards them, whilst both groups are madly flailing their arms and weapons everywhere. If you call that pvp, then I say, go back to your first person shooter deathmatches.

That being said, if I had a full group coordinated and competent sages, we would tear everyone apart. The only thing keeping it from working is coordination. Because of this, your argument of "1v1 and 1v2 are not pvp, and never are in mmos" is invalid, because anything more than 1v1, 1v2, and 2v2, lacks coordination in swtor.

Why do you not have any evidence like Fraps of countless 5mins clips of you doing this? I wonder why?

  10. Red Goo - a "non rare" material which is harder to acquire than purple mission skill components.

The main problem is the fact that there are 4 grade 5 compounds compared to 2 compounds for all other grades.

The secondary problem is the frequency of grade 5 compound abundant, bountiful and rich missions(which right now is insanely low).

This needs to be remedied by either dropping 2 of the grade 5 compounds and merging recipe requirements, or by simply increasing the rate at which the 4 compounds are harvested(by increasing the frequency of bountiful and rich missions or by increasing the yields of all missions).

What is the problem with things being "rare". It called having an economy. I keep reading post after post about complaints about this item or that being to rare. If this stuff was easy then no one would make any money then you would all complain about being broke all the time.

Please take some time to actually "think" this things through and pretend your suggestion was put in play and what would happen. I swear everyone needs to be coddled or something is broken in there world. Unless it is a BUG, figure out how either deal with it or make some advantage for yourself. This stuff is what ruins these games with player driven economy.

PLEASE DONT RUIN SWTOR....Please I beg you.

  11. I've also been encountering this issue, I need Mandalorian Iron to make my second piece of Rakata gear and I just can't get enough metal missions to have the chance at getting a crit and returning the required metal. It changed recently after a patch where it seemed they were appearing more rarely or at least after I hit 50 it seemed that way. I had the skill capped all through the range of 40-50 and I was able to produce enough mandalorian iron in leveling those (course of a week essentially) to have a friend who is cybertech make all of our level 50 ship parts. Since then its like the well has run dry.

FYI - For epic ship armor, its Promethium you need more than Mand Iron. Only the missile launcher need iron. Now Promethium is really the harder one in my opinion because people dont need Quadriuam for much so you are doing T5 missions just for the chance to crit Promethium.

  12. Every tier 6 mission i have ran this week has not returned a single piece of Mando Iron........Im going broke just from trying to get the mats I need to make crap...On the GTN mando iron is 12k-15k PER bar so if i was to buy the iron and craft a item I would loose money.

GDAM Bioware cant you get your house in order. Why do we have to wait till march for you to fix this ****ed up system. You have nerfed gathering of mats so much its useless to farm, and nerfed the return on tier 6 missions so much as well you spend 100's of thousands of credits for almost hardly any return.

I call BULL, all my T6 missions have a certain about of either Prom or Iron that comes back. Maybe you are running the missions that only give Prom?

  13. Your pricing seems inline and reasonable. People "should" have to spend credit on epics and no they should not be easier to get.

If you did that, you would harm many people trading in the markets. You can't think that you can change the drop rate on epic materials in the market and it will not have a ripple effect through the whole economy. Honestly is see it as a good thing that materials are getting harder to come by.

The economy is balancing out and all the excessive money is finally spreading out from when Slicing made you wealthy in a few days or did we already forget why prices got driven up so far in the first place?

    Don't forget your history.

  14. I am a level 34 Jedi Sentinel, every time I level up I spend 25-40K on new abilities from the trainer, and about 20-30K for new items for my companion and I...not to mention it costs around 3-4K to repair my armor and weapons every time I get killed. Needless to say, after all that, I am usually left with very little and it takes a long time to get a lot of creds again.

My crew skills are Slicing, Artificing and Archeology. I am about midway-ish on Artifice and Arch...and I got full 400 skill in Slicing. I am considering dropping slicing cause its not making me much.

What crew skills yield the most credits? Would I benefit selling my artifice items on the galactic trade network once I get higher skills in it? Or should I be doing something else?

Sell the missions you get from Slicing on the GTN

Get 340 Arti missions and sell the gems you get from them on the GTN

Drop Arch and replace it with something else like Scav, Bioanalysis or UWT.

    Sell on the GTN.

  15. Bioware,

Please add a sub-forum for each game server so we can do better server-wide communication. We need to be organize better so our experience is as good as it could be. This would be a highly simple fix and would not take more than a day or two to implement and test. I personally could do it without issue.

    Please consider the improvement.

Thank you and have a good day,

Dalkore - Infinite Empire (PvP West)

  16. I that is true, utter rubbish. Why not kill the people DoTing and that would solve the problem. You should not make changes like that because people refuse to see whos around and call targets effective. You want to keep the game more competitive, not watered down.

    BOO!

  17. This would be a simple thing to implement and save time for people using the GTN as a source of in-game income.

    Feature:

When one of your auction on the GTN "expires", add a "button" called "Repost". When you clicked on it, it would allow you to repost the auction back on the gtn and resubmit the deposit as well.

    Closing:

I run between 5-6 pages of auctions all the time and it is time consuming and tedious having to already break down items so I can make the best use of my 50 allowed auctions at any one time.

    Thank You,

    Dal

  18. All professions that craft should be able to make a handful of BOP and BOE that are just as good as the current endgame gear. They should take a large amount of mats to offset the time you would have to spending raiding.

This not only makes the crafters happy, you create a more vibrant market because it makes materials in demand at all levels on all servers.

Bioware, please put this discussion into your weekly meetings to discuss. I have a few suggestions if you ever needed any.

    D

  19. Maybe it is set up that way so we have some 'content' and people don't have a full set of purple schematics 2 days after initial download....

Exactly, you should not think this should be made easy mode for everything. If you did this change, it would crush prices on the GTN because of the flood of new materials coming on.

Sure its good for the buyers but not the seller and they have to make them and make a living, so making the crafters work, weeds out people who dont want to work and just make a credit (buck).

  20. Earnestly, I think this needs to be changed and that dots do not prevent players from capping a point. This makes VoidStar and Alderaan such a stagnant affair and plays a huge factor in how difficult it is to capture a point. It is stupid how a single player can defend a point forever with this.

I think the WZs would be more dynamic and more fun if this was changed.

I disagree, capturing a point should "mean" you have "clearly" maintained control. In my book that would mean you have clear out the area and the person capping it is not under "any" attack during the capping.

If you are having issues, then we need to work more on communication in PVP WZs so you have enough people to actually capture a point. Not try and sneak in and ninja cap it.

Basically you are saying you want it to easier to ninja cap.

    More teamwork

Less getting developers to change mechanics to cover up the lack of teamwork to defend a capping attacker.

  21. Maybe in the future they can create a new planet, with a large open area, with multiple cities on it. Different guilds/factions could raid the city and take control over it. Would give you some what of the same feeling. Maybe give you options to upgrade defenses and stuff like that. Would be interesting.

This is a good idea. An entire player-run planet would be a great place to have constant conflict and a dynamic environment. Even on the PVE server this could work because they would have to travel there to participate. So if you didn't want too, you didn't have too.

On PVP servers it would be nice if you could loot people bags of all there BOEs and materials.
