  1. Quests from characters on same account spilling over into alts not to mention professions doing the same thing. There are tons of things that could be brought up and honestly its a pretty good sign that the back-end of this game is a total disaster. You people are going to be waiting(and paying) for a long time before this stuff gets fixed.
  2. I love the game despite it's flaws. I'm having so much fun that I can't wait to get home from work just to play it. I've only been playing for a couple of days and I'm already addicted. Once they fix the flaws, it's going to be an awesome game. I can't wait for new content. I've never played an mmorpg before but looking forward to everything this games offers. I signed up for a 6 months sub. I'm getting my free months worth already. I've played in 3 days around 20 hrs and I said I was going to be a light user. Of course this comes from someone who's played Skyrim 700 hrs.

    Bioware made a great game.

Everyone felt like you at that point. Then the game dies because it never really evolves.

  3. So I have done every workaround posted in every thread to increase FPS in areas where other players are en mass. WZs, fleet, and Ilum mostly. I noticed that my video card seems to stay extremely cool and barely used while my cpu will spike like crazy and I have noticed my FPS loss corresponds to this CPU usage. This whole time I thought I was having vid card problems, but I am now convinced this game has problems using my CPU properly.

My concern now is CPU temperature and was wondering if anyone knows a good program for monitoring this.

    PC specs

    AMD phenom 2 x6 2.8

    4g ram

    HD 5770 radeon

    Asus m4n68t mv2 mobo

I know my comp isn't top of the line, but its definitely not bottom barrel either. I know others with top tier comps with same prob. Also If anyone has found a way to work with this problem specifically let me know.

And for the snobs yes I have put all my settings on low with everything off and I have tried with them maxed and it makes very little difference. Also this is the ONLY game I have any troubles with at all.

I have almost exact same specs except for 6GB Ram and I have to play the game with every setting at absolute lowest and its still terribad.

  4. I would save my money and wait a few months and get something better. This game isnt worth jumping to upgrade when youre getting a low end card to replace a low end card.

edit: i mean its really not been out long enough and hopefully there are more improvements down the road that fix things within the game.

  5. I see them all the time. I don't make it a point to look anymore because I'm busy enjoying the game.

I can see though where people would get worried when you don't have to wait for a mob to respawn for a quest... It would get annoying.

A large part of the game is group content and not only that the best items are also from that content. Its fine to skip stuff if you dont feel like it but most people are playing this game as an MMO.

TL:DR why arent you play mass effect then, its better.

  6. Ability delay was widely reported back in early Alpha/Beta... if Bioware could fix it don't you think they would have? It's not like they haven't had nearly a year.

This is unfortunately how I feel and reading about how they took a crappy engine and had to change so much in it that they could have just built theyre own in the end. Well that doesnt give me much hope because it sounds like the core foundation to the game, the engine, is a POS.

  7. I wouldnt spend more money on this game till its more mature(more patches) because honestly you could upgrade quite a bit and still have tons of problems. The dirty truth is cheap upgrades arent going to help you because your proc/bus speed are probably lacking for this game. I have a dual core 2.66 thats overclocked and it plays it "ok" on the lowest settings but its far from good and thats even with 8 gigs of memory and a far better MB and videocard than you have.
  8. People are misunderstanding.

The grind is doing all of the gosh darn side quests.

Right around level 20, the world to class quest ratio increases drastically, and it is the main reason i cant stand alts.

I dont want to do the side quests on taris again. or alderaan, or whatever planet you name. But i want to play that story.

    +1

The replay value for everything but the class quests is terrible because the side quests are terrible to go through again

  9. I can't find a single person who hates every aspect of this game. The people who want the game to die seem to like most parts of the games, but tend to complain very vocally about a few things, whether it is the bugs, faction imbalance or that it is a "WoW" clone. I've never heard a group of people like something about something, and instead of calling for improvements, call for the game to be blasted to oblivion. It makes no sense. Why not be positive and either offer constructive criticism, of which the devs seem to be listening to us, instead of casting this game into an early grave?

    because I spent $80 on a turd :/

  10. I agree and its a major problem for replay-ability. The lack of day/night cycle really bummed me out and its odd because I would have never thought something like that would matter so much. All in all the concepts are good but the actual game art is bad but I would imagine thats largely due to the terrible engine.
