  1. We are still waiting for a proper reply from Bioware. Why were 95% of the contestants disqualified and why is it possible to be disqualified for the whole tournament just because you were thrown into the walls by the 6th boss and had to use the stuck command?

     

    I hope they will answer us during the Live Stream tomorrow.

    I did about 20-25 complete runs, as I only really participated the last four days (did level up some characters before).

     

     

    If I got punished for using the stuck command, because I was stucked in the wall after the 6th boss throwed me in and couldnt kill me afterwards (nor could I kill him) that is just silly.

     

    What should I have done then?

    Disconnect myself from the Internet? No, according to Bioware I would've been disqualified then aswell...

    Delete my Sniper from the game and level a new one?

    Was there a legit way to continue the Eternal Championship Speedrun at all if you got thrown into the walls?

     

    We need proper response from Bioware and not a generic response that doesn't answer anything and doesn't go into detail.

    Why were all the contestant that were completing the Eternal Championship faster than 12m39s (see Parsely: http://parsely.io/parser/championship/eternal-championship/all/all/all/live/0/ and compare it with the announced Winners) disqualified?

  3. Bioware really needs to respond properly. I have no idea why I am not eligible for any of the prices and the same goes for the other players with better times than 12m39s.

     

    It would be hillarious, if i got disqualified, because I had to use the stuck command to get out of the walls I got thrown into. You cant just disqualify 95% of the contestants.

  4. Just to clarify, my machine isnt bad actually my Loading Times are similar to the other ones, just not sitting on my PC currently ;).

     

    I reside in an eligible Country, I have never had ToS violations, I have not cheated, had a much faster time than the current winner....

     

    After rethinking, I actually used stuck 1 single time because I actually was stuck within the area after Boss 6 throwed me away into the walls. I didn't use stuck at at all for anything during the Eternal Championship.

     

    I really feel messed around by Bioware. I've been excluded from this competition from whatever obscure reason, but Bioware doesnt tell me, but instead seems to have banned 95%+ of the actual competitiors without telling anyone....

  5. how could they have possibly select any winners on my two hands i cant count in how many ways u could exploit/ bug these encounters. and 90% of the player-base who stepped foot in there did it.

    As you are able to detect bugs/exploit with uploaded logs from parsely, I doubt that Bioware can't see exploits. Also I doubt that 90% of the player-base exploited.

    Very interested to see who actually won the competition and which class is the best for the competition.

  7. The DPS comparison was between Assassin and Marauder. All ranged classes should be behind melee to begin with but that's not the case atm. The developers have said that melee sustained should do the highest DPS this means that Annihilation, Lethality, Hatred, Vengeance and Pyrotech should be at the top and since there hasn't been an update to this I take it's still valid.

     

    Agree on the respeccing part. Here's a question though, how would you feel if one of your 2 DPS specs would be useless for the solo challenge. Can't maul with a DPS companion because they can't hold aggro and Force Cloak unavailable while in combat inside the arena. Force Cloak also has the bad habit of resetting fights while soloing. Both Assassin DPS specs are lacking and it makes matters even worse that one of them was useless for the competition. I would have got much better time if Deception had been viable, it truly irritates me.

     

    I had considered Marksmann pretty useless from the start, cause it sustained damage is too low (especially compared to other burst classes). And Virulence has 0 burst, so I also didnt really consider it (although it is amazing on boss 7 :) ). So when I started the competition a few days ago it was Engineering or nothing for me.

     

    Well tbh I think that Hatred is the better spec for the challenge, as you should be able to push the doom droid before the first add wave (contrary to Deception) with Heroic Abilities (atleast that would've been my tactic with Assassin I guess, cause pushing the Doom Droid gives you +15 sec).

    Deception (if you could use Maul) might be better for the first 5 bosses, but a good time is decided by the longer fights in the later stages were Hatred trumps (AoE is very good for boss 6-8, Dots are very good for boss 7, 9 and 10).

     

    I aggree that Assassin lacks sustained dps compared to other classes and is not (in my opinion) a very good mdps class for a raid.

    But other Melee Specs rely on channeled abilities (Mara, Jugg) have a slow ramp up time (Anni) no rotational Instant AoE (DF) + Dotspread....

    Currently we don't really know the best times yet (I assume Parsely is a bit bugged), so I am not 100% sure about everything yet.

  8. Class balance in general is pretty awful which in turn affected the speed run. I will only talk about my class which is Assassin. Deception was rendered useless in the competition due to maul having a positional requirement and force cloak unavailable in combat (Would have reseted the fight anyway). Trust me I would have played deception on most fights had it been viable.

     

    For the next competition it would be good to seperate classes into their own categories (like the PVP leaderboards) unless proper class balance is achieved. Which class would you think wins if the first parses 6.8k and the second can do 7.4k for example. DPS Assassins are lacking in many categories currently.

     

    Assassins can kite without dps loss, have good defensive cooldowns, Phasewalk, instant AoE....

    If my assassin would've had gear I would rather have played my Assassin for Eternal Championship than my Sniper.

     

    I think legit respeccing between the first 8 fights without time loss is pretty much impossible. For my runs I did choose one spec with 3 dots for every fight (despite Virulence and Marksmann being stronger for a couple of fights).

     

    Tough, I would really like to see a detailed Leaderboard for every advanced Class by Bioware (like the PvP Leaderboard).

     

    Sidenode: The first 2 parses on Parsely for Engineering are faked, but I am not sure what do you mean with the parse numbers.

  9. I hope Bioware finally sees the horrible state of PVE class balance based on the results of this speed run competition and acts accordingly.

     

    How's class balance horrible during the speed competition? Sure Operatives are bad, cause they cant properly backstab but that is really the only class with problems and that's just by design of this competition.

     

    But the competition should be pretty similar for all melee classes and ranged classes shouldnt be that far behind, cause there's only one annoying boss for them.

  10. Edit: Atleast for me, Parsely is now working again.

     

    As I dont have all Legacy Abilites nor a super optimized run (a 12-15 seconds better time would've been possible for me), nor a very good class for this competition, I think the actual best time will be way below 10m on Parsely.

     

    I hope I will be the best Sniper tough.

  11. Power is static DPS, while Mainstat is static DPS + a crit Rating Bonus (with DR independant to your crit Rating). That means the only two factors in the calculations are:

    X amount of static Damage will increase my DPS by ?? %.

    Y amount of crit Rating will increase my DPS by ??% (dependant on surge).

     

    I calculated the static damage increase for full 192 gear,:

     

    Results (for dps classes with 8 mainstat/power Augments):

    For any class that has below 77% base surge (without Auto-crits) Power Augments are the way to go.

     

    For any class that has above 82,5% base surge (without Auto-crits) Mainstat Augments are the way to go.

     

    Inbetween it's a mix.

     

    Example:

    You have a base surgerating of 68%. 50% of your damage gets a 30% surge Bonus. 10% of your damage is an Auto crit (the autocrit does not have the 30% surge Bonus).

    Then your base surge is: 0,68*0,4+0,98*0,5 = 0,762 = 76,2%.

    That means you should go with Power Augments here.

     

    In General:

    Maths is a lot more difficult with this tier for dps/healers. There are

    a) Special time-based abilities that give Advantage/disadvantage for the use of alacrity

    b) The crit Chance heavyily influences the Balance between surge/accuracy/alacrity in both Enhancements and Augments

    c) The Augment calculations are a lot more difficult and it may easily be the case that the Equipment of 6 different types of Augments is BiS (according to specs).

    d) Auto Crits for every spec heavily influence the power/crit + Augment + Surge/alacrity/accuracy Balance aswell

    ...

    All of these aspects are unique for every single spec in this game, therefore there are no general calculations anymore. For the 18 dps specs you need calculations for:

    a) DPS with raiding gear

    b) DPS in pvp gear (which heavily differs from PvE gear)

    c) DPSing under Special circumstances

    ....

  12. That's mainly because I never parse these fights anymore, nor do I bother to fluff enough. Hybrid absolutely will do more dmg in P2 because of the extra fluff damage, but Lethality has better survivability. Lethality can do more than enough during Phase 2 and your other DPS should be putting out substantial numbers as well (Snipers should not have to carry there :p).

     

    Long story short, both specs are fine for Council both have killed it, so what's the point? Comments like these are getting old now as the content is nerfed as well. Please.

     

    I only wanted to bring an argument to my point (although as there's no one else uploading any p2 council phase logs so it's probably a bit invalid). I agree with you on the surviveability <-> damage.

     

    Even if the content is nerfed :(, other guilds/players are still interested in optimizing their spec/rotation/class... for these fights (we don't need to do that currently i guess :( ).

  13. I dont "suck" as hybrid. I just don't play it as good as DF and MM :D:D

     

    I still don't think, that Hybrid is stronger at kiting, but of course i will learn it if someone who has the cance to test it tells me that it's stronger :p I could test it by myself. But i ain't got the time to do so :(

    I don't think that Hybrid is stronger at kiting.

    In terms of dps output, it will be as high as full Lethality while kiting, but Lethality has easier access for 2 points into Ballistic Dampers (Hybrid only gets 1 Point into that talent without disadvantages) + a stronger Shield Probe.

     

    Therefore Lethality will take slightly less damage with the same damage output while kiting, comparing to hybrid (which normally is not that important).

     

    Hybrid Excels during Phase 2 of the Council fight (the actual dps check).

     

    Because of the stronger dots (30% surge is > than 15% more damage during execute range), the better energy regeneration while multidotting, the 30% AoE Surge and the possibility to replace weaker fillers with Corrosive Dart (comparing to full Lethality here), Hybrid has a lot of Advantages during this phase (compared to a dummy fight for example).

     

    When Styrak is alive, both the Hybrid and Full Lethality don't really need to use any rifle shots, but instead of Takedowns, the Hybrid Sniper has Explosive Probe, Interrogation Probe or Fragmentation Grenade (which all deal more damage than Takedown).

     

    To my knowledge there's no full Lethality sniper anywhere near the 4,2k range during this whole phase.

  14. cause people really upload every last log, http://www.twitch.tv/m_o_s_e_s/c/5055654 4:32 - 6:57 look at my dmg. to end , starts at 680,563 and goes up to 1,349,592 calculated dps over the 145s 4613.9 my bad on missing 2 seconds the 1st time i calculated, either way I can do more than a 16m average dps who can't even place on a world parsing leaderboard (the VG)

     

    Sorry i thought there was only one Exit Area Dread Council kill so far (as you just recently posted a kill a few days ago), so i assumed the uploaded log on Torparse was the only one. This video shows a massive improvement, compared to your old log ;-)

     

    And yet according to sources Zahik you still have not learned that sitting behind melee dps and planting reaches behind them that go straight across them is not the best thing to do ..just saying .. nobodies perfect

    We use fixed positions for the ranged during the second phase of Council but whatever. I don't think i am perfect, i think i'm average (at best).

    can you pull 4700 dps on phase 2 start to finish? I can goml I sorc harder than you can do your own class gg i'll edit in the proof later when i have time.

    You did 3883 DPS during Phase 2 (588803 total damage within 151,67 seconds) from start to finish, which is not very good considering that I (a rather average sniper) can pull 4,3k on a class with 10% less single target dps during that whole phase.

     

    I wonder how you increased your dps by 25% from one council kill to another.

     

    4.7 is a joke , i was at 5.2 with my VG , i even did 204k on my guardian tank so gg ty , lvlup before you say something to me , if you want the log of my guardian i can find it \o/

     

    On the NGE kill Video a guy named Lancard did 3367 DPS during the whole Phase 2 (491593 damage within 146 seconds) which is not very good aswell. I am interested to see how 3367 = 5,2k in your world.

     

    ....As for DPS in general, I will do a better or equal job than any 8 man player in the game. I was pumping out 3.7k - 4.1k on average in Saboteur even in the first few weeks of 16 man Bestia coming out. .....

     

    TBH i would consider 3,7k-4,1k rather not so good for Saboteur in the 16m Bestia fight. Even with only Fragmentation Spam you can easily net insane numbers because of all the little adds having too much health in 16m and AoE padding.

     

    I am not sure how you approached this fight in 16m, but when we did that fight in 16m there was just this mass of little adds with too much hp, which we stacked together and were you could pad insane AoE Numbers.

     

    I did close to 3,8k in hybrid (with no scatter bombs) in 8 man were Larvas have 60k instead of 200k+ hp and I (again) would call myself rather average.

    Assuming you can do 5k conquest point per hour (that is quite a lot) you need 60 hours per week to do 300k with one player, so near to 8.5 hours per day, more than work time. So instead throwing out some random numbers just learn to math man.

     

    And even assuming you can do 300k point per player... do you think that 70+ guilds don't have more than 15 players doing the same and all the other doing at least something?

     

    Com'on be realistic, this is ridiculous.

     

    You can do a lot more than 5k conquest points per hour.

     

    We earned the top spot on Voss on our server as a medium sized guild.
