Why make billions when we could make... millions?
Honestly, this exploit never occurred to me. I just used cheap gifts to get some companions to level 50.
Yup, I leveled about 30 companions to 50, then bought another 5000 of each type of gifts for later. Luckily I had about 65 million credits to spend, so was able to take advantage of the lower gift price. It worked out pretty nice since it took 477 gifts to reach 50, from rank 1 if you had the legacy perks. That was around 460,000cr to go from rank 1 to rank 50. Way worth the cost
and much better than the 4,770,000 it normally cost. -

No, you cant transfer token character gear to another character. It's all BoP now.

I might be mistaken but I believe the toggle is set to lightside by default and for me, at least, was hidden behind one of my hotbars. I didn't even know the toggle was there until a day had passed and I imagine others are in the same position.
To be honest, it's not a well advertised feature ingame. There's a message now and again saying light side (or dark side) has won for an hour but nothing indicating how that happened or what it actually means, to my knowledge. Players have to go find that out for themselves and, given it's early access, are probably still too busy leveling/playing the new content to look for now.
The toggle defaults to whatever your dark/light rank is. If dark side is higher, you're set to dark, if light is higher you're set to light. Not sure what happens at new character creation, since i haven't made a new toon yet.

you know you don't have to be in healer mode during the flash point to get healing gear, just have to be in it when you open the crates.

Well you can go to any server and run DvsL as long as you do not transfer a toon there. But what do you mean easy to regrind DvsL? I am not looking to regrind DvsL. I am simply desiring to be able to use my rewards that I earned WITHOUT regrinding. Why would I want to do all that over and over again? I ran it, earned the rewards and expect to be able to use the rewards as intended. All I am saying is that the armor should either be mailed to all of your toons on your legacy or at least be available for unlock in your collections.
Think of it this way, give me 1 good reason why I have to continue to swap the armor from toon to toon to toon over and over and over? Give me just 1 good reason. And why if you transfer a character to another server should you lose the ability to use your 50% bonus that you worked so hard to obtain? Why is the bonus available on one server, and have your legacy moved by a transfer and not be able on another? Can you give me one good reason why that should be? I am not asking for anything free. I earned the rewards and I would like to be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I hope this was an oversight and will be corrected in the next chapter when LvsD ends.
You can use the armor you earned, it's on the server you left it on, just waiting for someone to put it on and make use of it. You left it there for a reason, yes? If it was an oversight, then sux, wait for the 90cc/150cc character xfer and fix it. Otherwise, you can use your armor where it is. If you wanted the armor on multiple servers, then you needed to do the Dark vs Light event on each server, like I did. Thinking you could do it on one server, then transfer a toon without the armor to a new server and be granted the armor over again was rather silly, since its been stated before that it was a server/legacy item.
The reason they set up the Legacy system the way it is was to keep people from trying to "game" the system, the way you seem to have tried to do. If you don't want to put in the effort, then you don't get the rewards. As it is now, you have two choices. Wait until character transfers are cheap and move the armor over, if that isn't an option for you, then make 2 new dark vs light toons on a new, non legacy locked server, grind the event out to get the armor, then move it to your other server.

You and the person you're responding too must both share the same comprehension problem. He doesn't want to have to restrict himself so he wants a switch to... restrict himself, and your solution it to tell him the same advice he says he doesn't want to hear, which is to restrict himself.
When did the entire concept of a game actually challenging players become such a dirty concept?
My solution was to point out that his request was already available in the game. I don't really care about the difficulty in any MMO, because there hasn't ever been a 'hard' one, that I've seen anyway.
It's quite obvious the majority of players in SWTOR don't want hard to play. Just have to look at the reaction to the companion nerf post 4.0 to realize that one. The game was still quite easy to play even after the nerf, you could still solo the Star Fortress hard mode easily, but the majority of players didn't like it, so they 'fixed' it again.

So now, people tell you to find workaround like "restrict yourself, disable you companion or go around without gear". Well, it's kind of stupid, I want to enjoy the game as it's supposed to. Just give us an option (ON/OFF) that toogle an easy mode that boosting your health, damage and companion and that's it.
They did give you a switch, it's actually a single pole, quad throw switch. It's positions are Healing/Tank/DPS/Passive on your companion. Thats four different levels of difficulty to play with. If you really want to have fun, just dismiss your companion completely.

If you use a main hand/offhand version of the weapon you can get the 208 to go to either hand, but the 216/220's wont. Unless they've changed it in the last 2 weeks.

I saw a comment on Fleet the other day by someone "whining"(you'll see why I did this) that the game was so easy they were falling asleep. I asked them which stance they had their companion in. They replied "healing, obviously!!!" I asked them if they'd tried doing the fights in DPS or Tank stance, their reply. Why would I do that, I don't want to die, I just want a challenge. my reply /facepalm

best bet is to get a set of legacy gear, or adaptable gear, add DPS Armorings and Mods and tank Enhancements. use a healing companion in their DPS stance and you should kill mobs fast enough to make leveling a breeze and not risk death.

I mean, you can 2-man Legacy of the Rakata, as long as you have a geared tank companion, it's nearly impossible to tank the last boss of Manaan, and you don't really need a tank for the last fight of Korriban. I know this from first-hand experience. If there was a really bad tank in my group, I wouldn't object to a vote-kick.
My friend and I two person all the level 60 FPs, I tank them(PT in 186 auged gear) She DPSs(Sniper in PvP gear) and we use Treeks(192 companion gear) to heal. none of the bosses give us any trouble.

the Bonus Commendations were only added to Class Story quests that already had a commendation reward option. if the quest didn't have comms to start with, there wont be a bonus added as an option.

Force Storm is not a filler ability. It is your opener on groups/trash so you proc the instant Chain Lightning. You should use FS>CL> ? anything still alive? More than one? FS again otherwise Single target ability to kill it. If you’re playing lazy, just FS again lol

It would be REALLY nice if next time they decide to do something like Ziost, instead of just saying 'oh hai guis it's on the 4th' they actually tell us a 100% time it'll be activated. Not only that, but waiting until 11am server time for my server is not fun. Why can't it be early? Why does it have to be afternoon? COME ON, BIOWARE, STOP doing this crap to me!!!

Mine has done that a couple of times after a new update was posted. I had to go into the C:\Users\(windows user account name)\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings and find the client_settings.ini file and delete it, then rerun the launcher. Thats fixed my crashes both times it happened to me. Don't worry, the system will regenerate the client_settings.ini for you.
Edit: btw if you don't see the Appdata folder in your file explorer window hit the alt key then v, then click Options in the toolbar window, in the folder options window click the view tab, then find the Hidden files and folders section and click the show hidden files, folders, and drives option then click apply, and then you'll be able to see the Appdata folder.
