  1. ugh... i'm sorry it's in the pvp forums, the pvp forums are bookmarked for me, when i posted i thought i was in the general forums.

if this was in the general forums i'm positive people would care. as it stands, nobody does.

Why did the penguin fill the bathtub with ketchup?

    BECAUSE HE WAS A RADIO!

  2. EDIT: Sorry this is in the pvp forums... like I said (later in the thread), my bookmark is set to the pvp forums, so when I made the post, I thought I was in general. Having said that, this thread has 5 stars because the doorknob is greased with marmalade.

I felt compelled to write this, because I think people in Brutality are getting a bad reputation for the wrong reasons. There is only one reason why I left Brutality: Ny'ghoma.

This is taken from our own Guild Rules, which I drafted as we were discussing them in vent pre-launch:

    7) Our reputation is the most important thing. It's based on two things:

    Performance

    Conduct

As far as conduct is concerned, keep this in mind: if people are talking **** in /say, take it as a compliment. Rise above the smack talk. It's OK to troll them back slightly, just be sure to do it in a smart way that doesn't reflect poorly on a guild. As far as the forums are concerned, try to just stay quiet. Don't brag or get into troll fights on the forums. If people are griefing or smack talking to such a degree as to affect your in-game experience, talk to Nyg or Smooches (Tna). Bottom line is we don't want the guild to look like a bunch of ******es, even if we are a bunch of ******es.

I don't think anyone who has frequented the forums needs to be shown where the irony is here.

Second reason is his conduct as a GM. On the rare occasion that we do lose a warzone, and it's only happened twice that I've grouped with him, instead of directing his team and being a leader, all he can manage to do is yell and scream insults at his team.

I'm posting this not to start a flame war against Ny'ghoma, even though that is now doubtlessly inevitable, but rather to draw attention to the rest of the guild. These guys, who I'm not going to name because they are all good people, are the only reason I stayed with the guild as long as I did. They are class players, with great attitudes, and great skill. They are mature and fun people to play with, and I'll miss you guys.

Smooches, Krypticon, I'll miss you guys the most!

Unfortunately, I probably won't be staying on this server. Not just because of the stupid drama that's going to follow, but also because of the disgusting faction imbalance on the server. I'm bored of Ilum, and I'm bored of Huttball, which basically means I'm bored of the game. On to find a better server, or it's time to cancel my subscription.

    Regards,

    Tytus - 50 Jugg

Ouchies - 29 Sniper (you would have learned to phear him!)

  3. Pretty much this, I just keep my healer guarded, and toss taunts out on CD. Then run around spamming buttons and presto, easy medals.

I can't really speak to the difficulty of healing in this game, but its no stretch for me to assume its harder then running Taunting people.

I mean of course each style of play comes with its own personal rewards, it just would be nice, if the carrot on a stick was the same size for everyone.

I've played dps and heals in beta, and my main now is a tank... tank classes farm medals like none other. healers have the most difficulty getting medals. Tank > dps > heals, and by significant margins. 2-3 medals, I'd say on average.

My tank spec currently is a Juggernaut, 11/30/0, so I can get most of the dps medals and tanking medals, plus i have rakata, which gives me 2.5k and 5k heal medals.

  4. It's really not difficult at all to do this and you'll never see any 600k+ screenshots outside of Void Star for this reason.

I'm not going to read through this entire freakin thread to find out if someone posted a SN of some my guildies doing 600k in a huttball, but they have, rest assured.

Also, on the subject of taking people's word as is, I don't believe the OP when they said they only aoe'd 2-3 times. Horsepucky!

The aoe notwithstanding, nearly 800k is still quite a feat. Grats, OP. Tank class, too.... makes my jugg look like a piece of ****.

  5. completely agree with the OP... a good healer is too busy getting 400k+ healing and keeping the entire team up than worrying about what medals they've gotten. a tank, on the other hand, worries about guard and get 11+ medals a game, without trying. healers get like 5. needs to be fixed, and now.

i should add, by fix i mean buff heal medals, not nerf tank medals :p

  6. People who have no life and skip the whole game to just power lvl to 50, SHOULD be bored and have long que times and have to play alone with there selfs only.

They wanted to pass all the regular players, now SIT ON YOUR BUTT ALONE AND BORED.

Dont expect simpathy from regular players when no life losers QQ because they cant que up faster.

us no life losers aren't the ones QQ'ing here buddy.

  7. Fine, call me whatever you like, but let me put a little more insight on you, this changes will change absolutely nothing on Ilum either. People will still let the other side cap and factions will trade pvp kills to finish their dailies because stopping anything on Ilum only hurts your own faction.

You still made a rant/scene by not researching first and just blindly posting, that's worst than been call a troll, specially a troll that wasn't trolling, enjoy your assume victory.

you know how i know you're a troll? because you're still here. That and you have "beta tester" in your sig.

Also, I agree that Ilum will never be fixed, but instead of qq'ing and hijacking other people's threads, I decided to list some potential fixes (what you called a rant). And stop expecting people to troll the forums - I mean research - before they make a post. I have better things to do. Buh-bye.

  8. I'm a fail troll? hahahahaha guess who's the only one that fail on this thread mate:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1276185#edit1276185

    PvP

    General

The shuttle room in Dorn Base Command Center on Hoth is no longer considered contested territory.

Ka on Voss is now a PvP Sanctuary.

    Warzones

Level 50 players now participate in their own Warzone bracket and will not be matched with lower-level players.

    Ilum

The daily and weekly mission objectives in Ilum now require defeating enemy players and/or collecting armaments from the center objective.

Players now gain increased Valor from player kills in Ilum.

Players now gain increased bonus Valor for kills based on the number of objectives controlled by their faction.

Increased bonus Valor is now granted for player kills when defending an objective your faction owns.

A notification is now displayed when a player gains Valor.

Three new respawn points have been added for each faction.

Companions are now restricted from the PvP objective area on Ilum.

Notifications are now displayed when enemy players are close to an objective.

I learn on the year on beta that there will always be people that complain first and refuse to read even when proven wrong, but keep calling people troll and whatever makes you feel important.

my mistake then for thinking that the patch notes were in the patch notes section. you're still a troll for calling my opinion "making a scene". these fixes are only going to solve a few of the problems. most of the grievances I've listed, along with potential fixes, still need to be addressed. Even after all of this is implemented the zone will be incredibly boring unless something is done about factional imbalance, for example.

  9. except you don't get credit for kills when healing unless you make sure to tag every single target at the same time.

except dps dont have a 30% reduction to their output.

If you don't see the constant discrepancy between healer medals earned and dps / tank medals earned then you are just being wilfully ignorant.

This... i'm a tank and getting medals is easymode. Ive seen healers get 400k healing and get 4 medals. Pathetic, broken, needs to be fixed.

  10. There is no incentive to PvP. When you do actually fight, you get yelled at for killing the people that are "trading nodes". The factional imbalance is so blatant that the Repubs don't want to come out and fight, and who can blame them? There are 15 Imps for every Pub.

    Potential fixes:

    1. Ilum needs to be cross-server so that factional balance can be maintained.

    2. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, KILLS NEED TO COUNT TOWARDS DAILIES.

    3. If the Imps control Ilum, the Pubs should not be able to capture any node. They should have to repair their base, and move forward from there, thus encouraging player versus player.

    4. Make the map smaller.....

There are plenty of 50s on the servers now, and Ilum is clearly not working as intended. If it's true what they say, and the opvp WAR designers designed Ilum, they did a terribad job. The Daily quest is a freakin joke, people are just standing around waiting for nodes to be "traded". As far as end-game content goes, this is the worst. I have yet to see a good battle on Ilum, not a single one.

Please, devs, Ilum needs major changes and soon.

  11. watching your vid makes it indisputable... i play a lvl 50 jugg and i don't have that problem, but clearly you do... that sucks man, BW seriously needs to get on that **** and fix it. terrible.
  12. I must ask though, regarding anchorheads factions.. Is it a 10% / 90% zerg split type of deal, or do you guys notice republic actually growing a bit since now everyone know's how imbalanced the realms have become?

If someone can give me a light at the end of the tunnel for anchorhead. The wife, a couple of friends and I will roll republic on here -tonight-. I just dont want to be stuck in a realm like I was on wow, where it was literally a 80 %/20 % split. That sort of unfair imbalance isn't fun.

Also.. what are your warzones like? .. Do republic even stand a chance? (Honestly.)

    <3.

    -Taru.

We get plenty of voidstars, alderaans, and huttball vs repubs, so I would say that the republic side has definitely grown since launch/early access. You will not be short of players on either side.

It's hard to answer your warzones question, since me and my guild usually run premades. I've heard the Matchless folk do pretty well with their premades, so it might just be the luck of the draw.

  13. Considering bringing along my guild to Anchorhead. Is it really pretty balanced?

If you're Republic, then there's no reason NOT to roll on Anchorhead. If you're Empire, we don't have room for ya.

  14. server forums are essential in fostering a strong, loyal community. currently there is no way for me to start a thread about any republic or imperial players with whom I had a great shared experience that wouldn't get lost on page 3 in 60 seconds.

Server forums are a must have.
