    To me, this reads like a review of the F2play options, rather than the game. And as such, I'd have to agree that they are worth around a 4/10.

     

    I'm a subscriber (obviously) so didn't really know much about the restrictions, but some of them are way too draconian,now I see them written down.

     

    This. F2P looks like garbage from what I am reading.

    You must be in the minority, I can't imagine anyone buying cartel packs for over a million credits a pop...that's just stupid. If they had those kind of credits to spend they could have just outright bought the valuable items i.e. the throne,mask,white crystal.

     

    Maybe. However there is the gambling aspect of it. Guy runs out of cartel coins but still wants packs and has a couple million creds which isn't enough for the throne there ya go. The packs have since fallen to 500k now due to undercutting though. :(. Fortunately I was the first on my server to sell the packs so I had a good run before everyone else caught on.

    If you're opening cartel packs you're doing it wrong. I sold them for over a million each. Of course now since undercutting is crazy they don't go for that anymore but on the flip side all the cool stuff is much cheaper.

     

    I sold 13 packs for 1.1 million creds each. With the undercutting I was able to get a white crystal, throne, etc... For not even half of the creds I made from selling the packs.

    Sounds like Tribunal might be a good fit. We are raid ready on Republic side. We do EC story mode, and TFB story mode. Still working on hard mode as we've lost experienced players to work issues, and it takes time to get new members up. We also have an Imp guild, but not raid ready, just alts so far

     

    I loved The Unit. Shame it only lasted 4 seasons.

    So I'm back after a few months off for work reasons and sadly it seems like my whole guild has quit. So I suppose I need a new one. I have a 50 rakata geared vanguard tank, 50 rakata or better geared(all custom stuff so stat wise pretty high) 50 sent, a poorly geared 50 merc(was on an old server. he still has champion gear in a few spots lol) and a 44 jugg i am working on. Experience wise i can run EV and KP in my sleep and have completed EC a time or 2 in SM. I also PvP a fair amount. Looking for guilds on both sides.

    So whos actually unsubbing because of this?

    I unsubbed for different reasons however as a result I won't be renewing my sub. Amazing they went F2P so fast. Not even a year. Maybe swtor was a soulless cash grab after all. Sell a bunch of boxes and once subs drop to a certain point make it F2P. Also I expect 1.4 will come out around the same time but 1.5 will be quite the wait. This game will be all but dead within 2 years.

    Besides telling you to get a thicker skin, there's something else you should know about a full ignore list.

     

    If someone is on your ignore list, you will never be grouped with them again in a pug wz. So if you have a full ignore list, you've just increased your wait time by quite a bit.

     

    Wow learn something new everyday. I did not know that and I think that is awesome. Just gonna start ignoring bads not just rude folks now.

    Since when do you need pvp gear to play pvp?

    This poster has the right idea. Play in Recruit gear for a few matches, and you can quickly get Battlemaster gear. Rip out the mods and enhancements (but not the armoring) to put in your orange armor and you will have a decent amount of Expertise without losing any PvE effectiveness. I only switch out four items when going to PvP, and I have over 700 Expertise while retaining 2100 in my main stat. If I forget and PvP without switching gear (earpiece, 2 implants, and a relic), I have over 500 Expertise with 2300 in my main stat.

     

    Truth. The mods and enh are actually better than the PvE versions becuase they retain the PvE stats but throw in expertise on top of it. Personally I use the armoring too becuase it's the WH ones and I can put it in my orange stuff and keep my sweet set bonus. And those WH relics are BIS for many classes. If only they had expertise augments but I'm rambling a bit.

    Nah since I am not a lame a@& that quits wz's to stay at 49 he's been at 50 for a while. But I am leveling a jugg I would be happy to faceroll your sage with. :p. Sinces he's a synthweave he's all augmented out and level 43 ATM. Heh some WZ I do 2x the damage of the second place guy.

    There's less difference between a lvl 12 sage in greens against a lvl 49 mara in purples than a WH sage vs a WH mara.

    Level 50 bracket is broken and does not scale some classes properly.

     

    This is laughable. If you had said recruit sage vs WH Mara it would have been more believable. When my sent was level 47ish and well geared I was literally doing 3v1 in my sleep. Heck one time I attacked a node in CW with 3 defenders and had killed each of them twice(they were taking speeders) before they finally took me down. Gear isn't as important in 10-49 for sure but with the abilities a 49 has vs a 12 not to mention the lack of implants,ear,and relics is a huge disparity.

    lol ... people are so silly.... the OP is absolutely right... it's his choice whether or not to wear Rakata or Recruit gear or what ever gear he wants. PvPers in this game are getting way too full of themselves and turning into elitist snobs.

    haha.. get real... I destroy people in Rakata gear and, in turn, I get destroyed by some people who are simply better than me... same goes for when i PVP in full BM / WH gear... some people i destroy some people I get owned by. When are you people going to get it through your heads that Skill comes before the gear.

     

    PVP gear versus PVE gear is so ridiculous in this game.. they are essentially the same thing... +20% boost from pvp gear is the same as +300 stats, +3000 HP from PVE gear.... I am of the opinion that the +300stats / 3000HP is actually better... .but as I do not pay any of your subs, I do not go around demanding that you do what i think is better.... you go ahead and keep patting yourselves on the back and i will keep enjoying playing my game and PVPing in whatever the heck i want... infact.. ill queue up right now... naked... I dare someone to vote kick me... pfff

     

    I will admit that I usually roll with a mix. To me I find I am more effective with 1900 str 20k HP and 950 exp then 1550 str and 17k HP with 1250 exp but my gear is very well itemized so I'm not rolling in there with all Columi or some such nonsense.

     

    To the OP sure it's your dime but WZs much like OPS are a team game. How would you like it if a guy just felt like doing HM OPS in your group wearing level 47 greens. Is that fair to you or the other 6 guys that basically have to carry this person through the raid? Sure you might still beat it just like the other 7 guys might be well geared and skilled in the WZ you hopped in on but man it's easier with 8 instead of 7. But of course you if you can honestly say you don't care what anyone else does(including doing dumb stuff in raids that gets you wiped) then I will support you. Otherwise you're a hypocrite.
