  1. so your saying that level 50's shouldn't have a gear advatage over lower levels. Every game has PVP rating, it's there for a reason and I think a level 50 bracket makes more sense just to keep the people who are way stronger because of expertise in their own league. I mean level 14 v geared level 50 never made sense anyways. I think taking out the only PVP stat would just break PVP if anything. There wouldn't be any need for PVP gear anymore. So everyone would just use the same stuff. If you don't use the same spec for PVE and PVP why use the same gear?

Really I think the level 50 PVP bracket makes more sense. It won't mess with the queue's that much, I mean I wait all of 2 minutes queuing solo on my server and it's not even a PVP server. So say that doubles to 4 minutes that's still not bad, and it's a small price to pay for more balanced end game PVP.

  2. snipers should be doing close to 300k or damage a round or more when geared. I think snipers have a huge advantage in that people tend to ignore us and just let us do tons of dps. if you are having issues with melee you aren't using cooldowns, you should be able to escape cover and entrench to kill them, you also have evasion and shield probe to help out there. I've never seen a melee kill someone in 1.4 seconds..... also you have your cover pulse and even on top of that ambush knocks targets at melee range back. so I'd really like to know where the issue is, snipers are op in pvp, at least I rarely have issues.
  3. There's a simple solution. They don't need a real time meter like in WoW. Just use the PVP system of a battle report at the end of boss fights in operations. It would show you damage done and taken, plus healing done and taken. It's not a live meter that people stare at the entire time while they stand in aoe, and it would show you if someone isn't pulling their weight.

The best part is the system is in place already, it would just need to be utilized in operations as well as PVP.

  4. Only buying what's needed and it has to be really needed, but in general I'm not wasting money on that. I can get most anything from a guildie in exchange for making them some armor or giving them some of my old crafting mats that I don't use but they need.

The GTN is barely above vendor price on my server so I have chosen to vendor all my items and save the hassle, I can sell the Epic Missions for various crew skills pretty well but that's it for now.

  5. Since the nerf I do nothing with the GTN, I farm what I can while questing and I'm currently stopped on all professions other than slicing because I'm at the point where Armormech patterns are 7k a pop for blues and 600 for greens. So for now I'm purely questing and doing pvp then vendoring anything I don't think I can sell. Most stuff goes to guild now, since the GTN is a joke.
  6. once again, I just want to know why anyone would use the GTN when the prices will drop down to the point that it's more profitable to use the vendors to get rid of stuff. it's very close as it, a lot of the blue patterns I get are about 600 on the ah and 350 to a vendor, so I save the time and vendor it. Plus who's going to farm augments that cost 2000 a piece and sell for 1500 or less when people keep undercutting. It's going to really throw the balance off, just wait a week, the GTN will be empty.

meanwhile, I'm going to continue questing so I can max out and hopefully by then they will not reverse the nerf, but correct it. 50% of the original would be fine, but this losing money on a profession that was based around making money and with nothing to show does not work.

people say, oh now you get to spend money like the rest of us, at least you get a product to show. I'm not going to farm augments that sell for less than the cost of a mission, your logic is broken same as slicing.

  7. all they really needed to do was nerf it a little, not like to the point of making it more or less useless. Augments that you can get sell for less than the cost of the mission to get them. And lock boxes now often come up under what you pay for as well. Therefore, it is a useless profession where as others actually have potential to yield profit if the market prices stay up. But they will drop, so everyone will bleed credits on professions to make gear they can't sell. WIN!
  8. If the market price goes down the market dies. Things already sell for double what you can simply vendor them for. If you can vendor it for the same as you sell it there will be 0 incentive to sell on the AH. Boom AH dies. Plus without slicers buying the pricey stuff the market becomes out of balance. There's 100k epic speeder patterns selling for 25k on my server because people don't get that at level 50 people will spend 100k for it because they've spent nearly half a million in training for it anyways.
  9. Anyone who thinks they didn't overnerf slicing is crazy. In no situation should I have a streak of 5 boxes that are all negative yield from what I spent when I'm running rich yield missions. There's a big difference between nerfing something, and making a profession that takes money with no return. Plus with no slicers around who's going to buy the augments and patterns that currently sell for little more than vendor price. This market is so screwed up, just wait till you lowbies are paying 30k per skill upgrade for your character.
  10. It's true, I netted nearly -10000 cr last night farming lockboxes for a couple of hours. I tried different levels and yields, honestly, class 6 moderate yield was better than class 5 rich yield and cost less to get. So idk wth they did, but they screwed it up bad, this is just stupid that would you go this far to make something bleed money.

Oh and the augments and schematics. Well I did get one nice schematic, which I was able to sell for 7k to someone who I trade with a lot so there was so surprise there.

The augments however, cost me roughly 2500 to get and are going for 1500 on ah, 1000 to vendor.

I just idk what to do now.
