I watched the vids for Secret World tonight (horrid)
Horrid in what way? How it has no levels and no classes? Or the voice acting? It couldn't be the graphics, since you like SWTOR. Nor content, since you like SWTOR.
Edit. OH I see, your account was created in April. That explains it. Give it a couple months, and you will stop thinking it's awesome. All the quitters also thought this game was awesome; then we leveled to 50, did some PvP and cleared all the PvE on nightmare mode and realised how shallow this game is.

The severe lack of content. Simple.
The Secret World first beta weekend begins tomorrow. This mmo has no levels and no classes, which is a huge step in the right direction. Another game in the makings is Pathfinder Online by Goblinworks. This will be the ultimate RP game, and it will be very similar to UO.
BW made the same mistake as Zenimax media did; making a themepark WoW clone and thinking they will cash in on it. The people who want to play a WoW-like game will, drumroll..... play WoW. The rest will look for a new version of UO, yet they keep feeding us WoW-clones.

Already unsubbed when 1.2 hit. But they gave me 30 days free playtime and I decided to check up on the forums. I see things aren't going too well.... Secret World soon!

I'm wondering how it works too - I have cc - recurring sub plan, but still no email, one would think 4 50s are enough to qualify. Maybe they do expect us to have active sub ON 24th or 25th to add it I dunno, mine runs out in 5 days.

Soooo how does this work? I use a paypal subscription (and yes, I have a level 50). Nothing in my account says anything about 30 days free and I haven't received an e-mail. My sub runs out the 18th... does this mean that I actually have to renew my sub and THEN get 30 days free?

No one knows?! My boyfriend hasn't received anything either. How did everyone get their 30 days free time? Did it just magically appear in "my account" -> subscription or what?

Its pretty clear at this point that legacy was just a big waste of time and resources. Its adds absolutely nothing to the game. BW should be embarrassed.

BTW, what game after GW2 is going to save the genre and be the 2nd coming? I'm sure their beta forums have some insight into that.

If most of you thought that 1.2 patch will be the grand saviour of SWTOR then you are probably wrong.
What is so impressive about this new patch may I ask?
I am already bored with it and logged out my toons.
Tried the new warzone. Nothing interesting to be honest, just civil war 2.0
UI customization = LOL
Guild Bank = LOL (When are u going to actually ADD REAL functionality to Guilds instead of giving players a pathetic guild bank?)
Pets & Legacy system = LOL for the ones that are already bored with the game and they dont know what to do anymore in their ''quest'' to start the 1k alt they want to lvl up.
New armor meaning you will now have a new GRIND in front of you, on a 3:1 ration now!
1 FP and 1 OPS that you will probably get bored with in ~ 2 weeks?
High Rest Textures that aren't ''SO HIGH RES'' and that make the game move worst than it was before
Tell me please ... what is so special with this new patch that you kids are all excited about?

Nice try, but your trolling isn't working, 1.2 has boosted my server pop from 120 to 290, on just the starter planet, at 3pm, on a thursday, bye bye.
Check again in a week, once everyone who kept their sub for 1.2 have unsubbed.

BW is stupid and they just ruined the game. This update is nothing special at all. The legacy is crap end of story. The only thing good I can see is maybe crafting.
This. They hyped it up to be some amazing patch that would make the game awesomesauce.
I didn't even have any expectations, I was expecting it to be crap. And I was disappointed. It's even worse than I imagined.
Good thing my sub runs out in 6 days.

This is just ridiculous. I have never experienced a company f- over their customers on this level. It's appalling. What's worse is that Funcom is releasing The Secret World with EA.... sigh. -
There are way too many crybabies that play this game. People cry about Bioware taking four months and not putting out Ranked warzones. It took Blizzard SIX YEARS and you cry about four months. LFG took Blizz five years, you cry about four months.
Ok. And? How long it took Blizzard is completely irrelevant, as this has become a standard for many players. Technology is not a hinder, not even close. As someone said, this game isn't competing with WoW at launch - it's competing with how WoW is today.
You might as well point out how long it took Ultima Online, Everquest or Anarchy Online to implement certain things. It has nothing to do with games developed/released in 2011/2012.
Let's say Samsung released a new mobile phone, which has the same features as Nokia phones had in the 90s. Would you buy it and then say "But it took Nokia YEARS to implement this technology (touch screen, 3g/4g etc)!". No you would not. You'd expect new phones to have the basic features of any other phone on the market.
But some people seem to have problems understanding this.

Well, maybe getting outside a little and getting some fresh air could help im just saying $15 doesnt go far these days and there isnt anything else you can do for $15 bucks that you can do 24 hours a day for a whole month, all in all its not the end of the world, it will be out soon im sure, just unsub until it comes out, its really not that big of a deal. IJS ;/
It IS a big deal for those who care about PvP. Maybe you don't care, but SO many others do, regardless of how little or how much they play. This thread is proof of just that.

This. All the hardcore people I played with quit in january-february-march. The first one was in january, after he got Battlemaster.
The casuals and RPers are the ones loving this game.
