The outrage is hilarious... this op was cleared in HM with 72's and 75's... the fact you can buy 78's isn't really a huge issue especially when set bonus 72's are still more valuable that the minor stat increase. The only good thing to come from the gear are the BiS mod. Also where was the outrage when we jumped from 61-63 alllll the way to 69-72?
  2. I whole heartedly welcome bolster to PVE. Would fix the problems with random *** pugs in 55 ops who like to use greens instead of taking some initiative and getting any gear...

     

    BTW, this is ike thread #290438209 of someone trying to compare bolster pvp to pve... stop it, you're not original.

    Dirty fighting spec doesn't work anymore

    Combat sentinel doesn't work anymore

    infiltration shadow does half the damage

    Guardian vigilance doesn't work anymore

     

    So you've now limited all sent/guardians to smashing, all shadows to tanking and all slingers to roll exploiting sabo

     

    Good play Mr remove synergistic abilities. It's just the attitude bioware is looking for, nerf it until it's balanced rather than buffing other stuff...

  4. Sentinel dps > guardian > shadow- imo

     

    Shadow if you want to be sneaky and get stuck guarding nodes, Sentinel if you want a to top dps charts, guardian if you want to tank.

     

    I've got all 3 @ 55 and geared but i mainly play the sentinel as there is always a spot in premades for one(smash unfortunately...).

  5. 2 tanks 4 heals 10 dps

     

    Once you gain more practice, you can easily do it with 3 heals and 11 dps to make things faster. Fights are exactly the same, and there is more leniency to dps at there will be 10-11 of you instead of 8. I would say 16 is actually easier than 8 man as it is MUCH MUCH more forgiving if you mess up or someone dies.

     

    We tend to pug almost 5-6 people so coordination isn't much of an issue, keep a tight watch on the wealthy buyer fight and kill the cartel warlords in this order: Horic, Sunder, Vilus Garr, Tuchuk (Horic has a bad aoe spam do kill him first)

  6. There are some items that will bolster higher than conqueror and not everybody has access to them. This is a similar problem to the old flash frozen ice trick. It's a bug that some are abusing to gain small advantages over others. BUT, ranked games are so tight right now that small advantages make the difference whether they are legal or illegal. It all comes down to whether the community believes it's working as intended or not.
  7. What i don't understand and i don't care to read the last 200 pages is why can't people find guilds where they CAN join premades?

     

    If it's the same old excuse that, "I like to play solo" or "My friends aren't on all the time" or "I've got commitments", it's all bull.

     

    If you like to play solo, go play force unleashed, If your friends aren't on all the time, make new ones. And finally, if you have too many commitments, please go to them rather than playing this game and typing these ridiculous posts about people outclassing you.

     

    MMO's are survival of the fittest, even the cavemen realized they needed to roam in hunting packs to take down their prey. Can't adapt? Well, see you in the history books.

    "I earned my gear! Why can't I stomp these guys yet!"

     

    Bolster is there because people need to earn their first set of partisan. Even at the beginning of this game, Bolster was implemented in WZ's because people needed to earn their first set of champion gear. And if you go for the" This bolstor is crazier than the last" It's because the stats have been scaled up much higher.

     

    You need to make a compromise and deal with it, Bolster is kind of here to stay until the next wave of pvp gear. Your options will run into the biggest problem of all, Whether Queues pop in 2-5 mins or 20-50 mins. Filtered Gearing will run the PVP scene into the ground.

    "I can't seem to find like-minded players so i'll go complain and maybe bioware will give me a guild finder"

     

    Get a guild or a group that wants to do the old content still. As the OP said, this game is about progression. 90%(made up statistic but probably very realistic) of the game(not including the new f2p players ofcourse) have progressed beyond these flashpoints. They are a waste of time and as many people have said, you can get better free gear than this FP gear.

     

    If you want to do the flashpoints, find a group that still hasn't progressed.

  10. I saw mention of the Internal Damage Proc that goes off (30% chance) every 4.5 seconds being better than stacking two WH relics. I was going to test both ways to see which one is better, but I'm pretty sure this makes the Matrix Cube, even though it's been minorly upgraded, now 3rd tier which means that'll now be sitting in our inventory.

     

    When i used the internal and kinetic relics, they only did about 15k damage average during these fights. Now with more stats, i'll be hitting the boss less making the chance to proc this relic less and less. So after factoring in # of hits and chance to proc, would you still think so?

     

    Also yes, Matrix cube is obsolete. 113 power = 25.99 bonus damage, 66 strength = 11.22 bonus damage. This would make it obsolete really.

  11. Or you could just join a guild where you have multiple crafters benefiting everyone? In my raid team, i craft stims for everyone, and they craft gear for me. This exchange is what makes a community, and without community this game is nothing. So unless you feel like playing a single player game, try to find a guild that will get you off your period about biochemists being the evil scum that ruin this game because we're not.
  12. How funny we do the opposite for a couple reasons.

     

    1. Stormcaller controls the entire fight, defensive systems is triggered by Stormcallers health so you should always know when it's coming 80% 60% 40% and 20%

     

    2. Probably a bug but we start getting random bubbles if Firebrands health is lower then Stormcallers.

     

    What we do is get Stormcaller about 5% ahead then we have our 2 highest dps stay on it. At the last defensive systems 20% we have are two ranged jump on Stormcaller for DD then we have our two Marauders on Firebrand we burn Stormcaller to about 8% then focus everything on Firebrand until its dead then flip back to Stormcaller FTW!

     

    Once we really got into and realized what controls the defensive systems it's become really easy for us to do. Same strat for HM. Also we keep our tanks Firebrand at about 2O'clock and Stormcaller about 10 O'clock with our DPS at 6 ish on both.

     

     

    Never thought of it that way, but every time we killed stormcaller first, Firebrands soft enrage is pretty tough to live through as it does his mortar barrage's until it's dead.

     

    My question is though, if the defensive systems are based on stormcallers health, why not have your 2 weaker dps there to extend the period for dps to be done instead of your 2 best who will speed up the defensive systems from coming up?
