Y Black Hole Comms? They are useless for PVP.
Reward both, it's a PVE environment with PVP elements.
5 BH comms and 100 ranked WZs.
I like this idea and voting for it!
-
oh wait thats basically armament searching in illum!
BIOWARE! ingenious. you have invented a game simulating that of trying to find a parking spot at the mall during the holidays.
AWESOME
why not have the armements spawn all over so everyone can complete the quest instead of it giving many many many headaches fighting your same faction for them!?
Seriously the only pvp you are forcing is same faction pvp where u just say f u to the guy that stole your armament.
-
Woah epic pvp
in PvP
Im talking about the epic box hunting where you fight your same faction for the armaments. OH YEAH I BEAT THAT GUY TO THE CRATE! Exhilarating. -
lol totally my server is pretty small so late at night its the same teams in huttball all night long... premade people be havin fun but us solo queue not so much
-
especially when you cant complete it because you get farmed by geared premades all day.
-
I support this thread. Please for the love of huttball give op healers some love. I actually love the difficulty of managing energy based healing. It is amazing to me. Resource management is one of my favorite aspects of healing and one major reason this game is better than WoW atm.
But why play an op healer in rated huttball when there will be nothing but sorcs knocking everyone every which way and sprinting to victory.

I was wondering about the viability of this build for Lvl50 pvp.
http://http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401rffMzh0RzZZGbbkrb.1
Nano-tech does not seem all that useful for pvp so I didn't see the point of speccing all the way into medicine. However I am debating whether flash powder or corrosive microbes in the lethality build.
Interested to see if anyone else is considering hybrid pvp builds.
Yeah thats basically the build i use... and its great for getting a lot of medals... 200k dmg and 200k healing isnt unheard of. just you still arnt very usefull in huttball and if you get interuptted casting your only castable heal without any procs up you will most likely die.
-
1v1 may not be totally irrelevant, but you simply can't balance PvP around who a particular player or class can or cannot easily beat in a duel. I'm telling you from personal experience, a healing spec'd Scoundrel/Operative is inferior to a Sage/Sorc in virtually every single way.
The only real advantages of the Scoundrel are stealth and EMP spamming on someone that's low HP but not taking enough burst to actually die (and who doesn't LOS you while they're panicking). Since EMP spam can be negated by anyone who isn't mindlessly tunnel visioning (hi stun, what's up?), and stealth is even more situational for healers than it is for DPS, I can quite confidently say that Sages/Sorcs are the clearly superior class(es).
Even when it comes to DPS, I'd give the nod to Sage/Sorc over Scoundrels and Operatives in Huttball (can be a bit less picky in other Warzones, though). There are numerous Sage/Sorc dps-spec upsides in Huttball, while Scoundrels and Operatives really only benefit from being able to more easily solo-target the Mercs/Snipers/etc...that are platform camping (before they get pushed or pulled off, anyway).
AMEN someone knows what the f is up. I completely agree with everything you have said in this forum post.
I have played both sorc and op at 50 and can say hands down sorc is 100% better especially at huttball. I dont see anyplace for an op healer in huttball when rateds start happening you just wont be desired.
Its too bad because the difficulty that is playing an op is so fun yet we just dont have any good utility to make us worthwhile.
-
Ever played a Sage or Socerer? I didn't realize how big the power-gap was between the two classes until I started mine. Sage/Sorc has vastly superior utility, especially on Huttball.
haha yes my first 50 was a sorc... holy hell I could carry a huttball victory by myself. wooot... got so boring though but it was nice being amazing. Though im more of an underdog liker myself.
-
Debuff? You mean the one that we don't get because we specced into energy screen so our sheild probe could be used as a somewhat consistent form of energy regen while fighting?
no healing op is going to have that.
-
Negative.
Ops bring a great deal to Huttball. They can help tackel the carrier. They can pick off those peskie ranged classes sitting on the scaffold. They can stealth into the endzone and catch easy passes. They can do tons of damage and help carry the team.
maybe if you are playing dps but as a healer I say nay sir.
-
Also just stealthing into the enzone as an op healer completely wastes your healing abilities. they should change our 31 point talent to be something usefull. Or perhaps are 2set pvp bonus.
-
httball was designed by r3tards with downs.
Nah i rather like huttball there just needs to be some changes like what thuggery was talking about. ball carriers shouldnt be allowed to sprint or use any movement altering abilities like force charge.
Also thuggery you hit every nail on the head. Ops need some sort of utility or they are way too reliant on there team being awesome which 9/10 the other team has a few sorcs that just knock everyone off and sprint to victory.
Everyone else that thinks ops are fine in huttball needs to try playing an op.
-
Nothing indeed. Only basic assist like any other class can do.
what burst im a healer.
-
Actually they are hard to kill. They just vanish whenever they are about to die then 8 seconds later, they have full hp and healing everyone from a ramp.
But sorcs are op in huttball so.....
HAHA ops are the squishiest class in the game bra
-
Is it just me or do operatives have nothing to offer huttball. the healers have no utility whatsoever. Sorc healers can knock back, sprint or grip allies. Bounty hunter healers have a knock back. op healers have a bad slow on a long cd
would be nice to have some utility for huttball.

so basically
in PvP
40ish bags 5 peices of gear. almost rank 57 not a single main set yet. -
so basically
in PvP
i need 150 champion bags so i can buy full centuri. -
I wish I were lying, at this rate Im going to hit BM with greens still on.
-
rank 56... still missing 7 slots of pvp gear f my life. could bioware not make it so at least centuri gear was purchased with just commendations and not thru bags.
-
Or in this case the ability to farm the piss out of you. Excuse my french.
All the geared level 50s got to gear up by fighting level 10s and now the fresh level 50s are getting farmed to high heaven so its basically like the geared 50s are still fighting level 10s.
LOVELY.
-
So illum...
in PvP
Is this zone supposed to be a giant game of red rover? If so they could have made it a bunch smaller and got rid of all those giant machines. -
No. Because high level Sages/Sorcs can drop their health at will and will just stand in a corner and do this to farm as 3 second to obtain medal.
they do that anyway for the 75k healing one... whats the difference.
Really though all the healing medals can already be cheated by either a a sorc or a tank sitting in poison.
-
I have an idea for new healer medals somewhat like the 1on1 medal you get for 1v1 someone.
The healer one could be healed back to full medal. One for from 10% and 25% by yourself.
Meaning lets say a teammate drops to 25% and you heal him back to full by yourself. You would get the medal. Same with 10%. They could even add more of these if they wanted but healers need love.
