Well, If you consider in the past they have stated the revenue for SWTOR I would agree.

Perhaps its just me, But highest from what? The complete and utter lack of context is astonishing. If they were at 150k subs and add 1 they could still claim to be the highest in three years. I would like to also highlight the complete and utter lack of any info on what their revenue was.

This is it, exactly. In one fell swoop, they cut off a big part of the inflation problem that the game has. With this change, a huge influx of new credits into the system will be going away. With all those mats, all they'll be doing is playing with existing credits already in the system.

But by not putting credits in the chests, they've removed a money faucet.
If they sell the mats on the GTN, they're only moving existing money around instead of creating all new credits by farming the old chests.

Actually, this resurrects chest farming. Most goldfarmers have fallen back to farming mobs on level 40+ planets in some bonus series where no one disturbs them, I haven't seen a chest farmer in a long time.
But with this change, once you sell those materials on the GTN, you can make just as many credits, assuming you are getting green and purple mats; blues not so much.
Mats are random. Planet levels so far dont matter getting everything for 2-9 so far on Rishi. Green and Blue....No purple yet.

Zero credits. So far I have found you get a Small Satchel of mats(Green) or a Medium Satchel of Mats(Blue). And changed a few locations on Rishi

If you want to quote someone, at least have the decency to actually quote what they said. But I understand that you need to make the "quote" work for you so you can spin it into the whole "bioware hates their subscribers" thing you've got going here.
Also I do enjoy the fact that somehow everyone on this forum has an insight into the development process at bioware while also being able to deduce extensive information about the expansion from a CGI trailer and couple of lines of quotes given so far. I mean, I even saw somebody posting the roadmap to the release of new ops! Truly incredible.

Two days ago, we got a trailer, a tiny amount of info, and a promise that "endgame, OP's, and PvP HAVE NOT been forgotten. They said "we'll talk more about that soon..."
And post like this one have been filling up the forum every since.
So how about we all stop....,take a breath, and actually give em a chance to finish stirring their coffee before we pull out the pitchforks and start marching to Texas. Actually, They said "This is the year of nothing but story, next year we may add Ops."

Well, we really don't know what we're getting yet. Assuming the worst is just as bad as pretending it'll be digital nirvana...but...like you pointed out, we do know what we've paid for in the past and what we've gotten...I'm using that knowledge to temper my expectations quite a bit more than some folk are. If we paid $20 for 3.0, I highly doubt 4.0 will compare when it is free.

Well, One of the other MMO's just added a brand new class and opened a brand new server. Its good to see new server's open...instead of contemplating have to merge some...MORE.

Well since they have in the past with both RotHC and SoR stated what was coming with the X-pac. It only seemed logical that they would do so again. Oh of course there are their very own statements in regards to Endgame/Eldergame.
but why let a company defend itself, when there are so many apolo...erm fanatics to do it for them.

EAWare™ puts up a pretty trailer.(it is quite nice) Gives out as little details as possible. And the forums go GA-GA.
Lets take off the hype glass's for just a moment and discuss what we are truly getting. For "free"
Story. YES, finally story. Of course we got story with SoR and Ziost. Now with the upcoming level increase there is truly no reason to believe that with the new story and the X-pac being "free", that the planets included will be any bigger then those of SoR or smaller then Ziost. (We hope)
End-Game. Na-da nothing zilch, Oh wait wait...re-scaled Ops and Fp's that for the most part have been run at this point Ad-nauseam. Now, I will stipulate that no info has been given that there won't be any new Op's or Fp's. But we can reasonably infer from EAWare's own statement that they won't be forgotten, that they may get around to it next year...sometime.
Pvp. I would say something here, But I have been told it is not wise to speak of the dead.

So to sum up. We are getting story. its quality is subjective as well as its depth. I for one am hopeful that they fall closer to the original class stories and not what we have gotten recently.
With the loss of Endgame/Eldergame content the further loss of Subs will continue its rapid decline at a greater rate.
Now there will be some who say "Great, F' them let them go." That is beyond short sighted. I think it is fair to say that most MMO gamers play MMO's for story...Ops/Raids and Pvp. Casting aside 2/3's of what makes an MMO a MMO will hurt the game as a whole...and felt by all.
This is a "free" X-pac for an MMO. We paid $19.99 for SoR and that was a very lite X-pac. How much do you think EAWare™ is going to give away for "free"?
I am not saying I quit...just yet. People have to decide that for themselves. It is not wrong to ask for more...It is wrong to tell people to just shut and take it.

The only class I can think of is Consular. She just doesn't seem to match any other class's, from a story-wise perspective. Quite unlike HK-51 whom can fit in with many.

Yea it is absolutely atrocious. They need to literately take 1 min and look at the account. They can clearly see what is going on then just close the account. If they were on top of this, there would be no teleport botters. It wouldn't be worth the effort getting an account to 50-55 if they got banned right away. Still though relying on player reports and then investigating and banning is silly way to go about it. It would be better if they changed how chests work so that it benefits the actual players and not the credit selling bots. I don't understand how they could do basically NOTHING for years when it is something that can be easily fixed.
Ya, I cannot fathom that this exploit that has been known for three years now has not been closed
