  1. I was healing the first boss in a PUG run. Pick up Group. I can say the first boss seems to be well rather challenging for a group that does not know each other etc. We were able to figure out some of the mechanics and finally cleared it but my one other critique is near the end of the fight it's really uneventful. If you could maybe add something for the last 20 percent of the boss fight.
  2. Okay. So Eric Musco. What are you all really thinking or doing? Why are taking stealth out of the game I mean so you are going to leave it in for PVP but take it out for PVE? Funny you all can remove something from what type of play but yet you could not balance PVP and PVE together like for years people talked and asked for you to make A B C do X Y or Z in PVP and not in PVE. Oddly you all are going to remove stealth out and then the entire make only healers have rez...... WHY?
  3. Will Operative healers still have Diagnostic scan? It is like our free heal and helps with energy management?

    Wanted to let you all know that the PTS server will be going down shortly to implement the following fixes:

     

    • Sleep Dart is a back for Operatives (it was never intended to be removed)
    • Combat Dummies will be level 75
    • Engineering Sniper has Orbital Strike baseline
    • Some tooltip clarifications/typo fixing

    Down time is estimated to be approximately 30 minutes. Will update this thread when the server comes back up.

     

  4. Or is your goal to dumb down raids to where they are face roll? I mean you want us to trust you to make the raids match or be in line with the "pruning" however given you have a very small Dev team and given the past I am not very hopeful that you can deliver on the changes you are putting forth. I am sorry but I do not have faith that you can do both of them and I am not trying to sound like a harsh player. I am just really dumbfounded here.
  5. I looked over what you are purposing to do with Sniper in general. I am saddened that you are having someone pick between say Sniper Shield and Orbital Strike. Perhaps Orbital is not used so much however as someone who does PVE. I think forcing someone to choose between those two is very sad. I can understand say if you were to have them pick between " Snipers have Phase walk " and say " roll." I am not sure what your plan is here but truly the idea of losing either Sniper shield or Orbital is really silly. Can you explain why you chose those two abilities? Side note are you trying to kill off the raiding community, well what is left of it?
  6. I could not have said it better myself. About 99 percent of your community is pleading with you that what you are trying to do is not wanted or needed. I do not trust that you have enough Devs and teams to truly balance stuff around these changes. It is simple. Make ability A, B and C do this if you are in PVP or PVE. I mean you already do that with taunts. I just do not get why you are trying to dumb something down. The game was way better in 2x. Go back to the basics, please. I mean you all added so much stuff to appease PVP players. What that caused was every class having a ton of gap closers and compounding the same issue you are trying to fix. However if you want to go ahead with them you will succeed in shooting the game in the head. Take a page form WoW and do "talents" Stop taking things away that are important..... Go back to what worked much better and made the game way more fun. Said a concerned player.

     

    This has to be the worst thing to ever happen to SWTOR. I guess BioWare trying to dumb down the game somehow will make players sub to a crappy overhauled combat system. This is exactly what Sony Online Entertainment did with Star Wars: Galaxies, which eventually caused the game to shut down.
  7. So like can you all just not like make it to where if you are a Force User you can be any "force spec" and if you are tech you can be any tech advance class.... why are you trying to prune abilities etc? WoW tried that and we all know how that went for that game.... just saying
  8. Hey Star Forge folks. I wanted to formally announce that I am recruiting folks for a new raiding group. Days are Tuesday and Sunday nights 7 PM to 10 PM EST. The short term goal of the group is HM Dxun. The over all goal is NiM raiding. I will personally consider each person who wants to raid, even if you have no experience in NiM raiding provided you have HM experience. NiM experience would be preferred but not required. I do not take this task to be easy and I expect there to be some road blocks however as a group we will succeed. Discord Kytera#5149 or reply here. Keep it non toxic thanks.
  9. Okay so I know this is about balance but.... let's talk about all the possibilities of gear.... There is 11 different odds for Armorings and 60 for mods and 120 for Enhancements.... I thought Vanilla SWTOR gearing was rough but this takes the cake.... I get you want Play your way and all this flavor etc but c'mon really? Also do you realize how much it's tilted to the favor of the wealthier player? I am just sitting here mind blown with all due respect can we just have a gearing system that is like Vanilla and or 2.0 please?
  10. Oh one other thing. I have not done the PTS since the refresh but can Huntmaster and Apex Vanguard get actual names? For example in Dread Palace each Dread Master had a name and then under it like Tyrans for example had Weaver of Dreams or something so could we name these bosses? No offense but not giving them real names seems a little lazy please don't take offense to that just a thought Matt and company. Thanks
  11. So just saying that EV HM can be done with four players. 3 DPS and a healer. Yeah EV HM was never super hard but the fact that 4 randoms can clear it is kinda upsetting. I am not sure what the goal is here Bioware Devs but the level sync down is not working so much sure things hit hard but you really need to consider either the values or numbers or data you are using when you do level lock or whatever the tech is. If this is the state of all old raids when you launch Onslaught then there is really only one raid worth doing which is Dxun. I fear that if you go down the path of scaling down and you miss the mark by a lot you will basically shoot yourself in the foot. I am sorry to sound so negative just being super honest.
  12. So as someone who has played this game since launch off and on, being a part of a few prog raiding groups and even some top tier stuff. I can say HM KP was never that hard but however you are trying to level sync the player down is all wrong. I mean honestly stuff just melts and this is in level 70 green gear on a HM KP.... I can only imagine just how easy this level sync down has made Nightmare raids. I can agree with you and say I think bolster down is much better then scaling up old content. However I think there still needs to be a challenge. If I can so candidly say take a page from WoW and how they have time walking raids and dungeons and that will get you closer.

     

    Also we did Tactical Hammer Station and it was such a joke that no kolto stations were even needed. I miss the way the loot system was in 1.0 aside from no assembled pieces. Why can you not make the loot system like it was in classic SW. When HM FPs dropped similar gear to SM Raids and things were worth grinding. A little grind is not bad. Also this whatever thing where you can change the stats on stuff and it costs and arm and a leg? Not sure about that. Honestly if you hear anything I am saying please do not shoot yourselves in the legs by watering down the content please.

I recently jumped on the PTS to browse stuff. and I am here to say I appreciate the overhaul and trying to bring something new to the table but for the most part the new set bonus things are just very lackluster and I do not see anything that stands out as really good for a healer. Perhaps the Tactical vs the set bonus is where it is at now?
  14. Another item I have looked at from various angles is that things you have purposed or planned to do with guilds. Let me start off by saying do not add any perk that gives a large guild Stat Increases by any means. I believe that is going to really cause issues with your top end progression groups or guilds, what few that are left. Do I understand that perhaps you are trying to perhaps open up NiM to a larger audience sure? However that is not the route I would go to be honest tying it to guilds specifically the mega larger guilds. I might only be speaking for myself but I do not really conquest. I do not really like being in a large guild where I am simply a number vs a person. The other planed things minus the stat increases are rather handy and I have no qualms with whatsoever. I am not sure why or who thought it was a good idea to give a sizeable boost to end game content to large mega guilds. The only way I would support these stat boosting perks was IF they only applied to GF, Story Mode and perhaps just maybe Hard Mode but even Hard Mode might be a stretch for me. And if you are going to apply them to SM and GF please bring back all the mechanics you gutted from operations to make SM even easier. I just really do not think stat boosts are fair but hey it's your game that you make but if these changes go through along with a chunk of how you are handling NiM GoTM tuning Vs 258 Gear Vs Command Crates and don't get me started on the crafting mats needed for gear not to mention I just will shut my mouth. However if you go through with certain things I will no longer want to play your game because you have turned it into something that I don't find fun. Sure perhaps the lack of content i.e. raids means you have to give people something to "grind" or to keep them busy while you get 6.0 ready but I just think you as in the DEVs are going about it semi wrong and the direction you are going is really missing the mark when you really have the chance to actually get it right.
