I'm one of the "no to LFD tool" mob. However I do agree there has to be a better solution than spamming general.

 

So because Bioware are trying to encourage cooperation in game with these social points, maybe a "LF group" tool so that people can get together in a party at a similar level early on to do quests, crafting - whatever.

 

Surely this would be a good way of getting people together and being more social, also maybe help them to make friends on the game, who then could become the parties that do dungeons together later on??

 

Obviously it wouldn't be everyone's thing, but maybe something like this could be a balance between what we have now and the infamous dungeon finder? .

Yeah because having a confirmation box when using a specialty vendor, using special currency is going to ruin the game for you right?

 

People are so blinded by their WoW hatred they argue against things that actually make sense. But because it's in WoW they don't want it here in their beloved SW game because they feel it will taint their game somehow...

 

I'm not bothered, if they put one in that's fine, if not, also fine. However I'm not gonna come on here whining like a little ****** with a scraped knee just because there is one tiny element missing from the game and describe it as "the worst gaming experience ever" because of it.

WoW's "Features" are the Gold Standard of MMO"s. Even harkoning back to the days of EQ and what not. Now the features that game has is considered a MMO standard.

 

Would be the same complaining "your" car doesnt have a audio system, even though it's a standard feature across the board.

 

No it's like complaining - i'm too stupid to notice what i'm clicking on, wow wipes my backside for me when I make a noob error like this, why doesn't every game I play on.

[There is no real "Fat option"]

I see this all over the place, but you guys know there's not actually a fat option. Size 4 males are actually ridiculously muscular, and and match how Olympic level weight lifters tend to look. Size 4 Females also look pretty damn muscular too, and while they don't look like Olympic level athletes (Seriously, those girls are men!), they are definitely not just fat.

the LFG tool people refer too does all the work for you. It automatically finds you a group with a healer and a tank for your chosen instance without you having to output any effort whatsoever.

 

In short, it removes any need to create relationships with other players and allows people to be entirely anti-social and avoid any human contact whatsoever outside of actually running the instance, something that seems to be the norm nowadays. Shame, really. Community and other people are the reason I play MMOs but no one wants to put up with the "hassle" of actual human interaction.

LFG ruined WoW for me, had some of the best times on that game trying to get a group together and then travelling down to the dungeon then by the time you got there, you already had decent banter with your party. In the end it just descended into people quitting as soon as they got their piece of gear or failed a roll to get it or constantly "**** u noob, u shud play like me because... blah blah blah"

 

I hope they never bring it in, maybe something a bit more user friendly that what we have now, but definitely not that.
