  1. Just a guess - and you may have already resolved this - but if you were logged into the game when you subscribed, you need to log completely out, close and restart the client, then log back in.  Also, when you log in for the 1st time after subscribing, you will get a window that says you are now subscribed (with the differences between the account type you are coming from and subscribed) ...but, for whatever reason, the "Subscribe" button on the bottom left is still active.  Hit the Continue button on the bottom right and you should be golden.

Beyond that, you will need to get support involved.

  2. Do you remember flirting with her prior to chapter 7 from when you played before? It is my understanding that you have to flirt with her every time the option is available during all previous 8 chapters (or most of the time? ...or over half of the time? ...I don't know for sure) for the cantina flirt option to be triggered in chapter 9. If you didn't start flirting with her until chapter 7, I can only guess you didn't meet the criteria to trigger the conversation.
  3. 1. If you boost a SW can you romance a light side Jaesa? Since a light side romance isnt possible as part of the class story you'd be skipping.
If you boost a SW, Jaesa will be defaulted to Dark Jaesa - so, no, it is not possible. From my understanding, you have to play through the story - and, more importantly, her companion story/dialog making her Light Jaesa - in order for her to return in KotFE as Light Jaesa and be romance-able as such.

If you are committed to using a boost, your best option would be to purchase and use the Master's Datacron from the CM on an existing SW, which doesn't skip the class story, then play through the story normally (but at level 70 with level 70 gear). Neither of the character creation boosts (which are the ones you are referring to) make a Light Jaesa possible.

    2. I've actually got 2 boosts to use. I heard the lvl60 one allows a Lana romance while the 70 one locks you out of all romances. Is this accurate?
As it applies to romancing Lana, yes, this is accurate. Technically, both boosts lock you out of any/all romances that would have occurred prior to their respective expansions. The Lana (or Koth) romance happens in KotFE after the lvl 60 boost.

Just make sure you take all available flirt options for Lana (or Koth) during KotFE chapters 1-8, then select the flirt option in the cantina in chapter 9.

    3. Do the decisions made for you as part of the boost make companions dislike you? Ex. Boosting a JK = light side decisions and therefore Scourge would be highly disapproving of you
All companions of boosted characters start an Influence 1. Interestingly enough, you also start with 0 light/dark side even though the game defaulted all of your previous decisions to light/dark choices based on your faction.
  4. I used my 60 token on a Consular having never been able to get much past story chapter 2 on that class - SO BORING! At first, I didn't get my unlock - even after leveling to 61 (which I posted on the forums about a couple of times because it irked me) ...but, at some point later, and I'm not sure exactly what the trigger was as I wasn't paying that much attention, the unlock came through.
  5. You cannot get the legacy class buffs with a boosted 60 ...or the legacy presence increases from the companions. In fact, not only do boosted 60s not impact legacy whatsoever, they never can impact it because they skipped all of that content (class story and companion conversations/quests) and they can't go back and play it.
  6. I am a returning player and have all of my characters on the 2 RP servers, but I have a friend who plays on Harbinger - which I have no characters on anymore (but I used to and have a legacy 25 on that server). I am in the process of recreating and playing through a few new characters, but I decided to use my free 60 boost on a Sage because I have no interest in playing through that class's boring story-line. It may have been my misunderstanding, but I was thinking this would give me the legacy unlocks and perks associated with completing the character and companion story achievements up to that point (which is what the boost supposedly does) ...it apparently doesn't . Even worse than not getting those unlocks and perks in the first place, a boosted character can't go back and play those aspects of the game, so it will be forever unable to earn those unlocks and perks.

I don't really have a question ...just wanted to voice my disapproval / frustration and put it out there for others who may be thinking the same as I did. I think if I had known this beforehand, I would have chosen to boost a character I already had the legacy perks for.

TL;DR: If you are looking to fill a class hole in your legacy, don't use the boost to do it ...not only does it not give you the legacy perks/unlocks, you will never be able to get those legacy perks/unlocks on that character ...ever.

  7. A lot of people are going to read this and say you are complaining about nothing, but as I progress through the game, it's the small things like this that are starting to stand out and gnaw at me - robes and capes clipping through speeders, colorization and other settings not carrying over into cinematic scenes, companion portraits not matching customization, etc. I do not know what kind of effort it would take to fix many of these non-game-changing issues (of even if it is possible), it's just that I find myself thinking more and more that it feels like this game hasn't been released for more than a year as opposed to one coming up on it's 3rd anniversary.

I'd love to suggest that they take some time and put a little effort into fixing the small stuff that is broken, but it's doubtful they ever will ...there's no financial benefit for them to do so unless they can find a way to sell a Graphics and Bug Fixes Pack on the cartel market.

  8. While I agree that docking stations/air locks (and load screens in general) are a painful time-sink, many of the avenues of travel are done the way they are for realistic lore -docking stations/air locks are on every planet that does not have a dedicated spaceport to land your gigantic ship- and, more importantly, to provide a sense of a large-scale world/galaxy.

I've seen this argument made in many other games and it usually ends with the same people who complained about travel being slow or inconvenient turning around and quitting because -now- the game world is too small and there isn't enough content. Seriously, think about it. Name ONE game that didn't get WORSE by adding instant/convenient travel?

I often feel pity for the developers of this game (or any game for that matter) - they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

  9. Why do you get so upset with me when I tank for you? Yes, I move faster than the average tank. But never do I pull at inopportune times. You and I have full health, you also have full resource.

Your group members are not your computer-generated companions. There are real people behind those keyboards who, for any number of reasons (none of which need to be validated/approved by you), aren't comfortable with the pace you are dictating. If they are speaking up and you are ignoring them based on your own very high - and likely very inaccurate - opinion of yourself and your own ability, YOU are in the wrong.

Not everyone wants to go into every situation 190mph with their hair on fire. A GOOD team leader is aware of this and adjusts his play-style accordingly to the comfort level of his team.

  10. Depends on WHY you are buying them ...for your own use? ...or to sell pieces on the GTN?

Personally, I'd go for the Opportunist pack right now. They raised unlock prices and played around with the rarity percentages in the Nightlife packs making them quite a bit less desirable (in my opinion) for personal use ...but if you happen to hit on one of the truly rare pieces (which seems less likely in the nightlife pack than in previous ones), you can make some serious bank.

  11. An SSD drive will improve planet/instance load times (and, to a smaller extent, lag) ...but not as much as you might think/hope for. Communications (EA server load, transmission speed, etc) and graphics (memory, chipset, etc) both play a MUCH larger role in improved performance.
  12. Stop making cartel market gear identical or similar to craftable gear. This is really wrong because who will buy my unique crafted armor shells when you keep making reclaimable and adaptive armor versions?

If they are really so popular that people want an adaptive version, then make the crafted version adaptive.

Hmm, let's look at Bioware's choices here:

Option 1: Make craftable gear adaptive and stop selling it on the Cartel Market thereby protecting the pixel-profits of a few faux-business people in a fantasy online world ...

    OR

Option 2: Copy the art (development resources) for craftable gear and sell it as adaptive on the Cartel Market thereby making real money for our real business in the real world.

What to do? ...what to do?

  13. Then we see this new rep system coming out and immediately realize, "They are going to think we copied BW!!!" So, suggestions for making sure this incident dosn't happen? Also, should a dev pop in on this discussion, a guild spot light would clear the matter up...cough cough...or perhaps instant legacy rep to deal with the fact we are gaining rep for ourselfs ;).. just saying. :D
Just so I'm clear ...no one has asked you to change your guild name, you just want BW to officially - and publicly - confirm the timing of events so that "they" (whoever "they" are) don't think you stole/copied it from BioWare (when, in fact, you stole/copied it from somewhere else)?

If this isn't some kind of joke, my suggestion is that you get professional help with your raging narcissism.

  14. ...lack of player-experience bug fixes.

Seriously, this is starting to get ridiculous. Every patch introduces new something-or-another to the Cartel market, yet for several months now, I still 1) have to remove my companion's customization in order to preview items on him/her, 2) set my graphics to 'windowed' and minimize the window in BT and Esseles to keep from crashing to desktop, and 3) dismiss my companion in order to toggle off the pvp flag I got forced on me because I grouped with someone flagged for pvp, etc and so forth (this is FAR from a complete list or even the worst on the list). Not many consecutive days go by where I don't find myself needing to use some kind of WORKAROUND for a bug that you refuse to fix ...and, frankly, I'm getting sick of it.

I understand that bugs need to be prioritized for resources and, in the big scheme of things, those above are relatively small and cosmetic ...and I understand that you are making a boatload of money from the Cartel market ...and I understand that businesses have to make money - but you can't JUST concentrate all of your resources on the Cartel market and completely ignore the REST OF THE GAME.

I'm nobody special and, when I go, I will go silently into the night, but trust me when I tell you that I AM the type of customer you want to be keeping around - a long-time subscriber with A LOT of disposable income that I doesn't mind spending it on pixelated 'stuff' for entertainment purposes. When it becomes more inconvenient for me to play your game than it is to simply cancel my sub and take my disposable income elsewhere, guess which one I'm going to choose?
