  1. checking back in. not sure what the new ingame name will be.

Ey Liam, long time no see.

I had to quit subbing for awhile, and came back to see all of my characters got knocked off their respective servers. Good times. :)

Well, hope all of you former players of Gorath are still having fun.

Starting to get back into this now that I've burnt out on the EMU for the 100th time.

    ;)

  2. So I take a break for a few months, to come back and see that my old server (Helm of Gruash) is gone, and I've been sent to some other hokey-pokey server (Prophecy of the Five) ...

So I get no say in where I go? I would have preferred to have a choice, as I have no idea where all of the other HoG players ended up at. SOE pt. 2, ftw ...

  3. Yes..Many of the old Gorath community are on Helm of Graush. Including members from DMG-I, Immortals, xXx, DF, RE, ADV, Thune, TTF, KOG, and many more.

    in SWTOR:

Empire side guilds: Grief, xXx, TTF, ADV

    Rebel side guild: ePeen

there are also others...but those are the only ones that come to mind right now.

Sup Xtant, Pic, Sirius, Liam and other long time no see nublets??

    ;)

Glad to see you all again, I'll be rolling an Imp on Helm of Graush I suppose ...

Let me know a good way to get in touch.

Speak with you soon, still learning the ins and outs of the game lmao.

    :o

Got my e-mail, but I'm at work for another 5 hours.

Either way, all you Decembrats keep up the faith, and good luck!! ;)

  5. In all reality, the pre-CU/NGE version of SWG was by far the most player-involved MMO I've ever had the joy of playing. However, SOE decided to sell out their fanbase for a far more flippant one, and that was eventually their downfall, as many hardcore originals had predicted. While the population dropped quite a bit with the release of WoW, and other misc. titles, the mechanics of the game itself were far more involved than any other. The character customization in and of itself was one of the best out there.

We all miss the days of perma-death Jedi and having to walk to our favorite farming/leveling spawnpoints, but things evolved, not all of them for the better. I have to say though, the player controlled economy was one of the most amazing facets of the game that I sorely miss.

    ;)

  6. I said good bye to SWG a long time ago when they jacked it all up with character classes.

Yes, lets take 30+ classes and condense them into 9 "iconic star-warsy" starting classes, including Jedi!!

All the children were excited ... until they got bored, as children do.

As far as the EMU, all the true SWG fans can do is wait, and pray.
