    Remember Star Wars isn't a sci-fi setting, is a space fantasy. Questioning about technology would be like asking why in the Middle Earth Silmarillion character fights with steel swords rather than bronze ones, because that story happened thousand years before Lord of the Rings.

    PVP Flag "bug"

    If he's flagged and he sits in one of your AoE's, you'll do damage to him and you will auto-flag. It's an easy way to kill people on pve servers.

     

    What might have happened is you AoEd and flagged yourself, and you didn't notice you had flagged until a little bit later.

     

    There was this one quest on Hoth where this Sith was killing the same types of mobs i needed for a quest and was causing some competition. I play a stealth class, ran up to the next group of mobs, waited for him to AoE and hit me (again, i was in stealth, no idea i was there) and flag himself, killed him. No more competition. Is it ethical? probably not. But i wanted to get that quest done.

     

    Maybe it was me? :X

     

    Ah ok, probably now I understood what's happened. My companion has an aoe attack and probably used it while the Republic player was in the area. And it answer the fact the guy was too focused to kill my companion, totally ignoring me :D

    Not sure it's a bug, but I still don't know what happened last day.

     

    I was doing quests on Hoth, smashing and killing as usual. Then, while tooking a quest item, I found myself flagged for pvp. What the hell... i turned up only to find a Republic player who was trying to kill my companion.

    So, I wasn't flagged before the attack (it seems the game flagged me when he started to attack my companion) and I wasn't in a pvp zone, nor doing something weird at that time.

     

    Did I miss something? :\

    Why bring anything but Inquisitors to Hutball?

    I'm an assassin and everytime a mate throw the ball toward me, I go in panic. If i'm not fast enough to pass the ball to someone else, I'm at the respawn point in 0.00075 sec.

    Really, Juggernaut or Powertech are more suited to carry the ball. The Inquisitor (at least all but Assassin tank spec) is not a really good class to do the dirty job.
