  1. Styrak is the only serious DPS check. Average requisite dummy DPS (assuming no contribution from the healers) is 2211. That number is adjusted for uptime, which is to say that your average DPS on the fight can be somewhat lower. In order to get Styrak before the hard enrage, you really need all your DPS to be *parsing* 2-2.1k or above on average. You can get away with less by doing cheesy things with your tanks and healers.

Tanks aren't pushed all that much in terms of gearing. Our first clear had our tanks in mostly Arkanian, but we really could have done it with the tanks in Dread Guard, I think. The Cartel Warlords would have been dicy, but doable.

KBN I love what you are doing for tanking stats, but I can't for my life figure why you guys where killing Sunderer last. He is annoying enough anyway, but with the extra abilities that the last one gets he risks oneshoting people. At the same time Tu'chuk is such a push-over, with 18 stacks and enrage he still couldn't kill a 66-69 geared tank if his life depended on it (which it does :p).

If you do it for the challenge then fine, but then you still wouldn't have had any problems with under geared dps/tanks and proper tactics.

  2. It always fascinates me whenever they delay a patch.

Do the QA or the internal testing even doing their job in making sure the patch that they're planning to release is good to go? The delay in patch always happen last minute... We wouldn't have this problem if in the first place, the QA is making sure that the patch is good to go and will not break the game...

I think bioware should just wait till they fix everything and release one patch fixing all problems. And yet they wonder why SWTOR is criticized this much :(

Please Bioware, fix the game and next time, release a content where well see less bugs. Thanks and good luck keeping your loyal customers. Don't worry ill still be here :)

Delaying a patch last minute because QA forgot to log something shows poor quality :(

What you're forgetting is that if they spotted the bug earlier they would have time to fix it and you would never hear about it (which probably happens alot). What most likely happened is that they where working on fixing the bug and realized they wouldn't have time to fix it by today and therefore had to postpone it.

Also I'd like to thank BW for not deploying such a huge bug that would have ruined our operations.

  3. Great initiative guys will add myself to this.

Reside on Empire side under name Inyx or Rep side as Torukmak'tau.

Just send the mats and what you are after and I'll craft it for you.

Or whisper in-game is usually on Inyx though.

  4. 1. I think most people that have an opinion are thinking of the tanks with dps gear in pvp, they see it as op and think that the changes for 1.3 was a pvp nerf which it obviously wasn't. Some people probably saw the changes and thought "oh crap" now they are useless for tanking pve.

As dps they are most likely down prioritised to sentinels by not putting up as much dps.

    2. I started playing my shadow in early access and have loved it since, I always continue to change and improve my setup when I see something is more usefull than something else.

As a tank I think we got quite a hit in 1.3, not so much the self heals where I can see that they could be a bit to high, but rather with the armor reduction since we get alot of spike damage now .The total damage taken might be the same as other tanks, but taking 3 hits of 4k dmg is better than 2 hits of 6k . I don't think that we are any worse than the other tank classes, but we can be a bit more unreliable since if we aren't topped of we might take a big hit and die.

I think the class is the best on building and holding agro and we got alot of usefull CDs, but I feel stressed at times when I see the big numbers on the screen.

As a dps I don't see myself as subpar.

In pvp I do wish we'd do some more dmg, but we have some other usefull stuff with the stealth and taunts. I do feel tho that we aren't as effective at being stealthers as scoundrels and not as effective at being melee as sentinels which doesn't make us good for having both. I also miss having a skill that feels uniqe and special.

In pve I feel I can compete well with other dps, the only ones who clearly out dps me in a long fight is sentinels. I think tho that I have more survivability than sentinels in these fights and can take some hits that they have to move out from. One thing I really think we lack here is a good aoe, Whirling blow just seems like a waste of force and I also end up running around alot when fighting mobs. On a note here aswell, as a dps force speed is not even close to being as usefull as force leap, but for tanking I do find it more flexible if I need to move a boss or similar.

I think it's a good class with a possibility for some improvement on the dps side and I do feel that the changes to the tanking could have been done differently. But as long as you don't destroy my class I will continue to love my shadow.

  5. On KP on the mobs on the bridges right before you fight Karraga, I say on my shadow, "I'll cc the right one", just to have them discover me.

Our whole team wipes and I'm like "I have no idea how they saw me".

And my guildmates go "Dude, you weren't in stealth.", Facepalm.

Fortunetly people took it fairly well since my guild is really friendly.

  6. Ok, so apperantly somebody had screwed up when pressing buttons, today we actually managed to do this with only 3 people most importantly 2 counsular (1 of which was a sage) and 1 Jedi Knight. Using rescue and guardian leap.
  7. So we are doing the +10 datacron on the Republic Fleet and we have a person at the last button, but when pushing it, it only says charging and the grapple over the door doesn't activate.

We have tried all combinations of pushing the other buttons but it won't work.

Have anybody else witnessed this bug and know a solution.

Please help it's horrible to fall on the goal line.

  8. So this is my first post on the forums and I just want to say that I love this game and I'm a huge Bioware fan. This post is what I hope counts as constructive critisism and I'm probably not the first one who have brought these things up but since there is no search function it's to much work to find the other ones.

So I have a lvl 50 Jedi counsular and a lvl 30 tropper and there are a few things I have noticed, first of I played my counsular and all the choises made perfect sence either you're a pure Jedi who help people and follow the Jedi code or you're pure evil and kill and hurt people for kicks. Both the class story and the side quest suggest this.

But then there's my tropper where the class quest I find great and the choises here makes sence good sence. Either I'm the person who doesn't allow my principles to be compromised by my duty or I'm the soldier who does everything to complete the mission. This is where the problem comes up, these are the light/darkside choises of the class quest but just because I do anything for the mission and is considered darkside here doesn't mean I'm an evil SOB who goes around and kill inocent people. And since there is no reward for mixing light and darkside points I have to be pure evil if I want to be the soilder who does anything for the mission. Also if looking at the SW movies Han Solo was not a saint he would help somebody in need but if the money was good he would probably let someones dirty buisness slide and if I make a smuggler character this is what I want him to be like. So why only reward good or bad behavior and not a mix of both.

This part might be a minor spoiler but this is something that I really got hung up on.

So I get to Taris with my tropper and as part of my class quest I'm in this cave and have captured a Empire officer and my soon to be companion is screaming through my comms that he's a war criminal and that he has kill thousands of innocent people and I should kill him right away, but since I'm doing my tropper light side this is not going to happen, so the guy gives me some minor intel on my objective and I get to the choice between light or dark and on top are two darkside choises where I give two different reasons before I shot him and then comes the light side choice which is let him go and this is like ***, my character should be court marshalled for letting a war criminal go. Why can't I haul him off to some jail or POW camp and let him rot for the rest of his days. No I have to let him go. This would have been ok for capturing a regular solider or lesser offcer, but not high ranked officer and war criminal.

And for the last part of this I was wondering why none force users even are under the same light/darkside banner. And I know that this would cause a huge inconvenience for the developers, but some of the tings that makes a Jedi fall to the darkside are also things that can make an ordinary person excel, like passion for ones work and also my tropper has gone through meditation excerices to not fall to anger. I rather think that the darkside choises for my tropper class story more resembles the renegade points from Mass Effect which does not automatically make my character evil.

I'm sorry if you guys (and girls) think that this thread got a bit long but I had some stuff bottled up and I would love to get some feedback and I hope that the developers could take this into consideration.
