You could try the process from https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/GUIDE-Launcher-Troubleshooting/m-p/4805820/highlight/true#2
Just choose to save the utility into the same folder where you actually installed the game (The highest level folder where the game is.
Thanks, but I already tried that. Same issue.

Will be interesting to see what happens in 2023 when EA's Star Wars license expires. It Disney wants too much to renew it I could see EA pulling the plug. Everything in business eventually comes down to income vs expense.

I have a friend @Reetous who has the same problem.
He has a 12700K and can't run the game launcher. Same problem as you.
Apparently, the DXDIAG indicates a problem with the windows file dataexchange.dll located in the windows / system32 Do you have the same / something else?
I don't have anything related to dataexchange.dll in my DXDIAG log, so it's probably related to a different issue. The other thing is I'm on Win 11 and they appear to be on Win 10. Either way, the problem looks like it's specifically related to the Intel 12th gen processors.

I have the same issue and am running a i5-12600k. I have tried everything the OP did and tried reinstalling the game from Steam and Origin.
Sorry to hear you're having the same issue, but at least I know I'm not alone. I've attached a debugger to the launcher.exe process and can see where the process terminates, but I have no idea how to read it beyond that.
This is the link to the debug output if it helps the devs resolve the issue. https://textbin.net/tzvlrszmdz

I'm having an issue where launcher.exe will cause a flash on the taskbar for a second and then quit. There in no error in the log file. This is on the Steam version. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps, including doing a verify of the files in Steam, uninstall / reinstall, compatibility settings, run as administrator, etc.
Core i7-12700k (Alder Lake)
Asus Z690 motherboard
32GB RAM DDR4
RTX 3080Ti
4TB SSD
Windows 11
I installed the game from Steam on my laptop running Windows 11 but with a Tiger Lake processor and it launches fine. I thought it might have been an issue with the P-core / E-core thing in Alder Lake that's been causing issues with DRM, but even after totally disabling the E-cores in the BIOS (So the OS only saw the 8 P-cores), I still had the same issue.
All drivers for everything are the latest versions as of today.

Thanks. I am running Windows 11. I've also tried all the suggestions posted so far with no luck. I've even done a full reinstall. One thing I did notice is that the launcher.settings, launcher-app.settings, and eula.settings files are missing, and the launcher appears to be trying load them right before it stops. I created empty text files with those names and the launcher.exe process at least runs, but there is no window.
If someone who has the Steam version of SWTOR could post the contents of those 3 files it would be much appreciated. I would assume they're supposed to be auto created, but I'm at a loss.

Is anyone else who has a new 12th gen Intel processor (i9-12900, i7-12700, etc.)having any issues with SWTOR? I did a clean install and now I see the launcher flash for not even a second and then disappears. Game won't start at all. I figured it might be CPU related, as there are a few other games that have issues. This is the Steam version.
I checked the log file but there doesn't appear to be anything crash related in there.

Reported thread for blatant trolling.

Im still trying to find where it states "we use high resolution textures in our game".
At maximum possible settings, no-one can make their gameplay look remotely like what is in those screen shots. 'nuff said.
-
The game was obviously designed with high-res textures in mind, since it was an option until a couple of months ago. There's no excuse to force those of us with the machines capable of handling it to run with the current crap textures. Roll it back!
-
Don't expect another reply from BW. Me thinks this is all you're going to get.
-
I assume you will be removing the High res screenshots from the site that market the game as something that its not. And asking the reviewers to do the same.
This.

I'd like to know what is stopping the actual developers from jumping on here for five minutes and giving us their view.
Company policy?

Core i7 930
6GB RAM
Geforce GTX580 x 2 (SLI)
1920x1200, all settings at max
AntiAliasingLevel = 8 in the ini file
Runs smooth - no lag whatsoever. Textures look like crap though.
This whole mess reminds me of the Vanguard launch years ago. They used an extremely heavily modified Unreal (2, I think) engine, and had nothing but problems with lag, crashing, etc. Took them years to get it sorted out.

Theres a bunch of 1920 x 1080 images with 4 x AA taken not long before the disabling/removal of the high res textures for the final beta build.
Bad link. I'm assuming it's because they did a forum wipe before live...

No, actually, it's not like that at all.
Care to elaborate, or do you prefer to just troll?
-
Completely untrue.
Name one way that a PC monitor is better than a full array LED television? Color?...nope. Black levels?...nope. Viewing angle?...nope. Size?..nope.
Your statements would have been true a few years ago, but today they are just plain wrong.
Silly rafter, don't you know that trolls are always right?

I've been able to take on two Strongs without too much trouble until today. I fought two Strongs (lvl 20, I'm 22) on Nar Shadda and got my *** handed to me today a couple of times, even with one Strong a couple of regulars. No gear changes or anything. Anyone else notice any issues?
-
If it's against the naming rules, it's getting reported.

I was getting so disgusted that I turned off the name display.

I saw the name Revän and also saw Obi-Juan and it pissed me off so much. Why are people not creative that they have to use already existing characters!
They are obviously breaking the SWTOR naming policy, so report them. I've been doing it.

The SWTOR launcher.exe Steam uses doesn't require admin rights. At least it's never prompted me for admin rights like the Bitraider infested one did.
