  1. Seems that the server merge people just can't accept the fact that EA and BW are in no hurry to create a public image disaster by merging servers in an very early stage of the game's life, making it in the eyes of the media and gamers alike a failure and setting it on a downward spiral.

    .

Game is going to fall down soon. Either way it is gonna happen.. For instance, i will leave when my subscruption ends.. Because i dont want wondering around myself lonely..

Ilum, i was alone in Ilum for hours! I gathered all items and grinded my pvp gear.. How challanging is this right.. :/

    Bye bye Swtor.

It was fine, but not anymore..

  2. My server is a Ghost Town, and i play Empire side on a PVE server, you'r suspicions are invalid. I don't even get how you came to this conclusion... Al sorts of servers have population problems be it RP, PVP, PVE or RP-PVE servers

    Same here.

My server is Senator Contisplex and it is like a ghost town..

Imperial fleet's population was 2 today. ( And yes, me is included ! )

You cannot do PVP or PVE..

It is like a single-player game..

  3. every server on EU is atleast standard on prime time.. and alot of servers are heavy/full so you must be US?

Haha really? Lol, go and look at EU servers now. THERE IS NO HIGH POPULATED SERVER CURRENTLY!

    This means :

    - People are quitting SWTOR.

    - Bioware has to activate server migration module.

    - Bioware has to merge servers.

    Otherwise :

    - This game will be free after a year coz of lacking people to play it..

  4. Hi guys,

There are many different subjects discussed in this thread and I would like to take the opportunity to give you some information on the topics at hand.

First off, we currently have no indication that any class needs a huge buff. Class balance is defined by the interaction between classes and changes we make to one class will, inevitably, move the balance towards or from other classes. Our data and testing currently indicates that the Juggernaut and Guardian AC could use some buffing up in two areas where we see them underperforming against our expectations.

Here are some of the things we're planning to roll out in the short term specifically regarding Sith Warriors and Jedi Knights :

    • Mobility/Anti Kiting (PvP) – We agree with the sentiment voiced by the community that some Guardians and Juggernauts have to work harder than other classes to stay within effective combat range, putting them at a disadvantage. We intend to address this in an upcoming patch where, as a first step, Force Push will clear the cooldown of Force Leap, granting for more reliable in combat pursuit capabilities to the Advanced Class. Further changes will be made if necessary.

    • DPS spec survivability (PvP and PvE) – The DPS specs on Guardian and Juggernaut are performing to our expectations when it comes to the ability to create damage, especially of the burst variety. However their survivability is lagging behind our expectations, especially in the later game, and we are going to start addressing that particular issue in an upcoming patch.

Our attention to the class obviously won't stop here. Balancing MMOs is a never ending endeavor and we're in for the long haul. For example, we are certainly aware that the Marauder and Sentinel are very gameplay intensive classes with some of the most complex rotations in the game. While we are currently looking at quality of life and usability improvements to increase the class' playability without compromising the unique aspects of the class, we don't have anything specific to announce just yet. We do however anticipate that some of the combat responsiveness improvements (AKA 'ability delay' - more on that here) being worked on by our engineering team will specifically aid both Marauder and Sentinel.

In regards to PvE balance, any place in the game where our data shows significant issues with the balance tuning for one or more classes or specs are of course also being looked at.

For example, Jedi Knights will be pleased to hear that we are working on tuning the final mission in their class chain to provide a better, more fun and more reliably solvable challenge (see a post from another member of my team here). Currently a large percentage of players bring a friend to solve this mission, which, while social and often more fun, is not in line with our stated goal of allowing players to progress solo through their class arc if they desire to do so. We're also looking at some companions with a critical eye to improve their viability for certain role/companion combinations.

I would also like to give you some general understanding about approach to class balancing and how you can aid us with your feedback:

    • Now that we're out of the first few weeks of launch madness, you will see class and combat balance issues addressed with increased frequency. Larger scale gameplay changes and features are more likely to coincide with major content releases, but smaller scale changes and improvements can be expected to become part of our regular update schedule.

    • Statements that we hate a specific class or faction, or that we intentionally underbalance certain classes to make it less popular are conspiracy theory territory. We have nothing to gain from such an approach – we want players to pick the class and faction they want to play and have confidence that they are able to perform their chosen role in the game. Anything that comes in the way of that goal is considered a balance issue for us.

    • We make our balancing decisions based on a combination of internal and external testing and metrics. We don't make decisions based on who is the loudest on the forums. Community feedback is valuable in bringing issues to our attention and even to highlight possible solutions, which means that well written, constructive posts are the most effective way to communicate your wishes and feedback to us, rather than petitions and calls to nerf specific classes.

    • Please understand that balance issues during the leveling process are different than issues at level 50 and are handled in different ways. If you feel your class has issues during your journey to 50, especially communicate the level range and area of the game where you are experiencing issues to aid our investigations. Player versus Player situations in during the leveling process are not always balanced at every level (a mathematical impossibility), but we are always willing to investigate.

    • Just because we haven't mentioned the specific issue close to your heart in a post (such as the one above) doesn't mean we are unaware of it or that we don't want to address it. It would be impractical for us to comment on all investigations currently in the pipeline. That said, we definitely want to take a more open approach in regards to upcoming class changes.

Finally, I'd like to acknowledge, again, that we do understand that there is a desire for players to get more detailed information what happens to their character in combat. We agree with those requests and are working on various ways to, optionally, get more detailed data on your combat performance.

    Thanks for your feedback!

Omg stop with the kiting issue, give some DAMAGE instead of mobility!!!!

  5. Marauders need damage buff. You can slow/snare your enemies but you cannot kill them in a short time..

Especially long range shooter classes pwn Marauder in a short duration...

Btw, i am thinking of suggesting a mechanism which provides a player to reset his subclasses..

For instance, i want to change my **** marauder and make it a juggernaut <3

  6. Knock backs are only killing people at this point who get stun locked or have not realized how to handle them yet. An if your stun locked that bad it means you have multiple people on you an most likely were not going to live in the first place.

You can prevent 80% of knockback deaths by knowing when and how they can knock you into ****. An by not letting them get that angle on you. I rarely ever die to fire. And I never die to poison pits ever at this point.

No way, how can i predict when a jugernaut pushes me and keeps me in the water ? I cant do any *** rahter than dying in a second.

So unfair, they should either give marauder sth like that or people are gonna reroll other easy mode classes such as 2 button commandos. Go hide somewhere, Just spam grov rounds , there you go.. Pew pew.

  7. Commandos are very easy to kill. They have almost no defense vs a marauder. For example they get 1 stun. 1 minor knock back if speced. An one large knock back if speced. They get a minor slow with unload. After that they must tank you. Now if we read my above post. We get multiple gap closers making there knock backs worthless. We get multiple movement speeds making there slows pointless.

we have 3 ways to interrupt them. We also have obfuscate which makes them a joke for 6 seconds. We also have 2 cds which make them a joke while they are up. If you die to this really easy class to counter this of all classes... your doing something so so very very wrong.

They put you back off, start to cast grov rounds each crits almost 2,5K- 3K to me. ( I dont have a proper pvp gear + i got already 12K Hp lol)

  8. you have 2 different abilities to increase your movement speed which Works while snared. You have 3 gap closers... lol. An you have 2 abilities that make it pretty much impossible to kite you. So where is your issue? What class you worried about? Sorcs ? BH? those two prolly the two easiest classes to kill as a Marauder.

I can't get any Commandos, what about this ?

Almost all classes can push others. Marauders cannot do that. We are getting pushed into poisoned water and also to deep space into WZ's.

However, we cannot do such things.

    UNFAIR.

  9. You have force crush makes the enemy unable to kite you. You have Regular snares that make the enemy unable to kite you. I don't see the issue this is all one spec. The class isn't the problem.

That's true we cannot be kited. We can slow/snare our enemies. However we cannot kill them. Force Crush's damage is a joke -.-

Marauders dont need anymore slows snares, need burst damage!

Besides, i am getting pwned by 5 grov rounds by commandos.. Which is pretty stupid -.-

  10. Yes, yes i do have a rotation. Its a priority rotation. Silly questions are silly.

Yea probably you slow, penterate their armor and 2 massacres then die.

    Thats the rotation for sure.

    Carnage is for PVE tbh.

Silly users are silly as well

  11. Space combat. Hardmodes. Operations. Ilum dailies. Crafting. 7 other characters each with their own unique storyline. Sitting in fleet all day chatting with friends.

Spacecombat ? Lol , we can play any other single player games if we wanted a spacecombat. No need to pay dollars for that eh..

Hardmodes/Operations : What if we hate PVE? Killing an artiffical intelligence that is coded by some programmers? Always have a tactic, so go read tactics and get it done. How nice blah..

Crafting : There is way to better games focused on crafting..

Other characters : Just to inform you, marauders and juggernauts have the same story.. This goes away with every subclasses. It is boring and you are doing the same quests on the planets except class quests.

PVP is the hearth if this game and this game will fall because of non sense overpowered classes such as commandos.

People will get sick of PVP unbalance and quit it. As many users did already.

I am thinking to quit as well since i got a level 50 marauder and all i saw so far about pvp was "to be farmed".

    Thanks for that Bio.

  12.

Even LEVELING is a pain in the ***. Fighting an Elite takes ages to kill. Without my companion it'll take around 3~5 min to 'just' kill an Elite. (despite the fact that my force might run out. When i wont crit my Innervate)

Dude, as a marauder, i couldnt even manage to do my class quest at level 50. I found another person to help me.

You are not alone. Elite questing was also trouble for me. :/
