  1. What's funny is after making the mistake once, whenever I'm viewing items, I take my fingers off the buttons. Not to say I won't do it again, but it's at least lowering the chances.

That being said, you could try putting in a ticket. It may be too late at this point, but it's worth a shot if you didn't just sell back the item for some measly credits.

  2. Some people are angry because feature X or Y from WoW isn't in this game, wrongly assuming that feature X or Y are actually good and necessary while they are mostly crap.

The fact they are not present is a boon not a defect. TOR is in almost every aspect 8except, of course, quantity of content) way superior to WoW NOW, not 7 years ago. teh amount of features that TOR has and WoW doesn't (and will probably copy) is staggering:

    - AoE looting

    - fully voiced quests

    - story driven game

    - companions that are more than pets

    - special currency as incentive to grouping

    and so on

WoW is a poor TOR clone ;p

Yep.. I'm loving this game so far. Honestly don't care what any review says.. it's not going to change my opinion.. only the game will. There are flaws.. it's not perfect. I report bugs as they happen and just hope someone sees them for them to be fixed.

AoE loot is my friend. WoW didn't have that? What game did I play that did, then? Haha. It's a familiar thing to me and I love it.

  3. True and not so. Is somehow fair to compare both games at release times, but, as a customer that wants to buy one of the 2 his choice is not between wow from 7 years ago and swtor, but between wow how it stands now and swtor how it stands now. As a customer i'm interested about NOW ;)

I agree with you completely.. I just think people are going to be harsh on this game at release because they have expectations from a game (or other games) that have been out for a long time. Yes, there are so many similar features from WoW.. but WoW is also apparently dying. A little while back, I don't remember the exact time frame, but they had lost something like 500,000 subscribers. So the developers of this game take these features, probably that existed back when they started to make the game, and then leave a lot of room for improvement.

Obviously people are not happy with the customer service right now because it doesn't seem like they care.. but maybe it will change. Maybe they will take all these things people are upset about and implement them.. maybe it'll be the same as WoW, but maybe it won't.. maybe it will be better. :(

Edit: WoW Subscriber Loss Source (And there have been more reports of these since then, I think.)

  4. Leading people into the post with an exclamation mark to pretend like you are a happy person.. clever.

Comparing a 7 year old MMO to a newly-released MMO... um, I think I'll pass on what you have to say. Where is the comparison to the WoW launch, with facts and events from that? You're comparing apples to oranges, basically. Both are fruits (MMORPG), but they are not the same.. at least not at this point. Or maybe it's more like comparing an apple seed to an apple. Either way, it's the same idea. You have to compare seeds to seeds.

    Also, where is the TL;DR?

  5. Guy on my server with the name "Bevis". Not that big of a deal until someone mentioned he "spelled it wrong" and got all up in arms. Apparently it's a family name that he kept pointing out existed "before Europe".. or something.. so it actually was Bevis and not Beavis. But people kept giving him crap for it and he kept feeding them. It's like.. don't use your last name as a character name and then get upset when people talk about it because it's close to "Beavis". What do you expect? :(
  6. This was bought from Bestbuy and even setup by a Geeksquad computer expert

    Problem #1 and #2.

T- Foxconn power supply with 400 wattage

Are you serious.. ? 400W PSU... ? Wow. Please, return your computer immediately.. get that money wasted back, do some research, and build your own real gaming computer.. or have somebody you know do it. And somebody you know is not Geek Squad.

Actually, after reading your entire post.. I've determined that you are a troll. 40 minutes to log in? Of course it takes 40 minutes.. that's called being in a queue and has nothing to do with your computer and has everything to do with people logging into the game.

Maybe this all has been addressed already but I'm not going to read through all these posts.

  7. I think there is one, but it doesn't work most of the time. My game crashes every 20-30 mins and I do get straight back in sometimes, but I also have to wait other times...and waiting in a 40 min queue to get back in sucks.

Of course you get back in "sometimes".. there isn't always a queue. It depends on how many people are on at the time.

LOL a grace period! you guys dont know how luck you are.

Fixing the disconnects is the issue when they fix that you wont need a grace period.

Are you serious? You're calling people "lucky" because they have a queue when you can't get one? Get over yourself. Also, fixing disconnects will not fix the need for grace periods. Queues will still be high and people will still have other issues that are not related to disconnects able to be solved by BW.

On that note.. I agree with what people have said already. I haven't personally (*knock on wood*) had any disconnect or other computer issues to need to wait in the queue more than once per day (unless by choice), but I think a grace period is absolutely necessary.

  8. I saw a duo going up on Iron Citadel.. they were 42 last I saw and that was quite a bit before the servers came down.. so they may be at that same level.. wish I could remember their names... and.. classes.. :(

Edit: I just realized you're on IC.. must be your guildmates that are that high. Are you Bacon? I saw Bacon at 40...

  9. I'm actually living in Indianapolis right now, but I was born and raised (and will go back) in Washington State.. King County area (moved a lot). Mostly Maple Valley, Issaquah.. Covington, Kent, Auburn.. those places. Did a little bit of time in Bremerton, Sileverdale and Oak Harbor as well. :x Would be awesome to play with people back home!
