  1. Thanks to the great group that came out tonight. Prizes and goodies will be going out to the names of the folks we got on the "guest list" tonight.

Special thanks for the dancers, the entertainers and the fun duels

I was asked to bring these back on a monthly basis. As long as there is interest I am game to keep this up.

Hope to see more of you out next month.

Traditionally we have held them on the last Friday of the month.

    Special Thanks to:

    Sith Imperial Navy

    Black Widow Company

    Exiled Hand

    Revan's Legacy

    Ascension

for having members there, for donating prizes and for adding to the fun. Great guilds all, If anyone wants to learn more about the guilds let me know. I have contact info for the officers.

  2. Do these happen once a month? Regardless, as the most senior member of our high council I am officially vouching for our attendance. Tao Covenant will be sending at least one representative. Our web site is in my forum tag, but for additional information please see our recruitment thread below.

    Tao Covenant Recruitment Thread

PS: Thank you for all your hard work Irrissa

I used to do them every month, but attendance dropped off a bit and health reasons have kept me playing a lot lately but I have had a number of folks ask me when I would be doing this again. So for the Spring.. here we are. Having a Spring Fling

  3. Order of the jedi prophecy would like to attend. Sounds like an intriguing event.

I will be there as Veilveatah.

What day and time does it start this month?

    Regards,

    Veil

This month it is on Friday March 27th and starts at 9:00 Central Time. Though folks often start showing up a bit soon. It can get busy. I remember one Meet n Greet where we had I think 3 instances because we had such a great turn out we couldn't all fit in one. That was awesome

  4. Sounds interesting.

UlaVii has something vaguely similar-ish on ToFN:

    Openworld Weekly PvP Massacre Invitation

Personally, I think it sounds interesting. Perhaps we could use this as a kickoff to eventually start doing more open world PvP?

(EDIT: It just occurred to me; if you're opening this up to Imp and Pub, do we want to ask everyone to try and avoid ganking members of the opposing faction? Does that actually work/gain any traction with people?)

The upside of this even is that Slippery Slopes is a sanctuary zone, folks can get here as soon as they have a ship, sooner if they have housing on Nar Shadaa on their account :D Its been the location since I started this way back when.

Its been a great place to recruit or find a guild. We have had some dueling but ganking unless you leave the promenade has not been an issue. Communication between sides is done via /say

Also I will be in a voice chat with my Republic side guild and we will have folks from both sides to represent.

I attend as Irrissa since that is the name on my account. She is my Imperial Operative. Look forward to seeing you there.

  5. Prompt: Coming Home

    Featuring Aubrei - Smuggler.

Don't think I have written about Aubrei before. But its been a long long time since I posted so a new character is not a bad thing.

As the doors shusshed behind her, Aubrie started pulling off her gloves, and armguards, moving down the corridor leaving her clothing in her wake. By the time she reached the refresher, the only thing she had on was her gunbelt which she dropped by the door as she stepped in.

Following in her wake Akavvi picked up the strewn clothing, muttering curses in Mandalorian under her breath. As she reached Aubrei's door, she whirled around shoving the handful of clothing into the the arms of a laughing Corso who had just come up behind her.

Corso entered the room he shared with Aubrei, dropping the clothing in the hamper just in time to catch the blonde blur as she shot out of the door of the refresher, still wet from her shower, wearing nothing but a big grin.

"I take it the trade mission went well" he said with an answering grin.

"I had them eating out of the palm of my hand. Risha and Bowdar are loading the cargo as we speak. Well I guess Bowdar is loading and Risha is overseeing to be honest" she replied, her blue eyes twinkling. "It's good to be home. Can we take off in a hour?"

"You've been gone two days, you are only giving me an hour?" Corso whispered into her ear.

"Okay an hour and a half then" she laughed mischievously. "Yes it is good to be home."

oh my I have soooo much reading to catch up on. That's what I get for being gone so long.

  6. :ph_welcome:

This month will be the 1 year anniversary of the first Meet n Greet for Prophecy of the Five.

About a year ago there was the "Great Server Collapse" There were many moans and naysayers of doom. There were servers that that had only a handful of people wandering the empty halls of the Fleet.

"Hallooooooo" the words reverberated through the quiet thrum of machinery. "anyone there?"

Then suddenly these people were transported to a server where an abundance of people were crowded into fleet. There were often 2 or 3 instances. The hum of voices filled the air. Tolling was rampant but so where offers of spots in operations, calls for groups for flashpoints and many folks looking for friends new and old.

Many who came from the small population servers found themselves without Kith or Kin, Clanless, GUILDLESS!!!

They did not really know anyone and well this is an MMO. Its a social game.

Thus the Meet n Greet and Guild Rush was born. It was simply an informal gathering in a less hectic location that fleet. In a place where both factions could mingle without fear of death (thanks the Hutt Cartel Security) Players could meet each other and Guilds could recruit. And there was a fair amount of Cross Faction recruiting as well.

This month is the one year anniversary of that first Meet n Greet. I would like to invite everyone out to join us. I intended to have a couple of goodies to give away as door prizes.

Hope to see you there Friday September 27th @ 9:00 pm Eastern 8:00 Central At the Slippery Slopes Cantina in Nar Shaddaa

Feel free to message me here or on any of my characters in game.

  7. oh boy, I have so much catching up to do :)

Meanwhile I was working like crazy on my Trooper for double XP weekend and well.....

    NotLP – Life or Death

    Introducing: Rosaleen dhu'Aingeal Trooper

    No Spoilers

    Life

Awareness came slowly. Try as she might she could not seem to get her eyes to open. The smells of kolto filled her nose and the low hum of machinery her ears. Her head ached horribly

“Doctor I think she is waking up” It was a quiet voice somewhere to her right. There was a rustling sound and in moments she felt the effects of a stim moving through her system and something that dampened the pain somewhat.

She still felt odd, disoriented, her mind moving in jerky flashes of thought. What happened? Why was she here? And the scariest thought, who was she?

“Sergeant? Can you hear me? Sergeant?” A woman she assumed was the doctor leaned into her vision.

“Yes” she mumbled in a rough voice, hoarse with disuse. Clearing her throat, she answered again with a bit more force. “Yes”

“Ah good. Hearing. Check. Eyes are tracking okay. Check. She can speak. Check.” The doctor seemed to be studying a datapad.

She felt a pat on her right arm. “You are doing just fine Sergeant” It was the first voice. A man she thought. A medtech? Slowly she raised her left arm to touch her head where it felt odd and ached still. Her fingers brushed metal on her temple and she stiffened.

The doctors voice sounded as if it were far away “Normal motion of extremities. Check”

The tech's voice was closer, clear,” There was” the voice paused. “An attack, on your training class in the field. You had a severe head injury. Only five of you made it out. I'm sorry”

She tried to remember. Nothing. She remembered nothing. Her voice, sounding as if it were a million parsecs away “Sergeant? Training? I don't remember.” Taking plaintive note, her voice shook “Who am I?”

The doctor's voice had a disappointed tone, “Memory. Affected. Will need more testing on that”

The tech's voice was sympathetic as he whispered “Rosaleen, your name is Rosaleen. Get some rest” and the sedative he was administering took effect.

    * * * *

She went through another battery of tests. Reflexes good. Cognitive function good. She tested off the scale on analytical capabilities. She still couldn't remember anything. Oh, they had given her a copy of her personnel records. She couldn't remember though if she loved her family or hated them. Had she been dating? Did she have friends? There were no messages, no loved ones waiting wringing their hands over her survival, no inquiries about her well being.

The medtech, Sam, explained to her a little of what he knew.

“It was a training exercise on Corellia. Several of the top students from the Academies were chosen to participate. Instead the group was apparently ambushed by Imperial elite troops. Out of twenty five of the best the Academies had to offer, only five survived. Someone had messaged Corsec and the Green Jedi who pulled the survivors out. You had some severe head trauma but I guess they found you protecting the injured.”

Dropping his voice to a whisper, “ I heard that the Jedi had to use their power on you to restrain you and take away your rifle. You were that focused on protecting the others.” Almost to himself he muttered,”What a strong will to live you must have”

He went on in a normal tone. “The implant was necessary to restore full motor functionality . The damage was pretty extensive. They were concerned about how well you would recover. So far the only thing that seems to be affected is your memory. At least you seem to remember all your training, how to do everything and your rehab and therapy is going well.”

    * * * *

She was restless. Tired of the testing. Physically everything was working as it should but mentally she felt like a blank slate, starting her life over. Sitting on the bed she read over the sterile file on her life, trying to flesh it out, make herself into a real person again.

Sam came in with an envelope for her. She greeted him with a wry smile. He truly was her only friend in the galaxy right now.

“I think this is it Rosa” he said to her, “Time to move forward with your life”

Opening the envelope she quickly scanned the contents. Her mouth fell open.

“Sam. This says they are assigning me to Havoc Squadron.” Her voice rose to a squeak “Havoc”

“Wow, Congratulations.” He sat on the bed next to her “I know you are bothered you can't remember but what a way to launch this new part of your life. Make new memories”

She nodded thoughtfully. “I haven't given up on trying to remember who I was, but I think the commander of Havoc squad is the last person I want to keep waiting.” Having no personal effect to pack she could walk out the door that minute. They stood and she turned to Sam and took his hand in hers.

“Thank you for being my first friend in this new chapter of my life.” He let go of her hand and gravely saluted her.

Turning on her heel she left for the transport shuttle.

  9. Well. My first foray into this thread but I have been batting around the idea that Randall and Minalde as Imperials.

sooo this seemed the best place to put that.

    Follow up to What If

    The Morning After

    Minalde

Minalde woke. Its was not the gentle waking where you drift from sleeping into awareness, it was a jolt that had her bolting upright. Though her eyes were open, she could see nothing, the room a seeming black void. She was confused. Where was she?

Slowly the memories began to trickle into her mind. She had been on a ship, bound for Tython when they were attacked. Pirates. She and all the other females had been separated from the men and boys. Thank the force there were no babes, small children or elders.

Without even a trace of light leaking in from anywhere she couldn’t make out a thing. She heard some soft whimpers, a muffled sob, and even a light snore. She cautiously stretched out her senses but could not feel any rumbles or noises that might give her any clues. The lack of rumble though made it likely that they were not on a ship any longer.

A door was suddenly flung open, the light streamed in, blinding her. There were some shrieks and sobs, but most of the women were quiet, likely in shock. Minalde felt a hand slide into hers and looked over at a young Nautolani girl with large black eyes. She could feel the other girl's quiet terror though that touch, and that inspired her to square her shoulders and pull on an invisible mantle of confidence, though her stomach was actually feeling like a ball of ice.

Letting go of the other girls hand she stepped forward. “You have no right to hold us, we are free citizens of the Republic. The mocking laugh of the Houk filled her ears as he casually backhanded her to fly into the wall. Dizzily she slid down, fuzzy thoughts filling her mind, foremost was she needed to push her fear away. Reaching out with her mind, she touched Randall's, the other force sensitive that had been with her. She felt him try to grasp at her thought but easier to grab an handful of sunlight, and she slipped back into darkness.

    Randall

A wisp of warmth, reaching to capture it,closing on darkness

Getting away once they landed at the spaceport was laughably easy. He had willed himself to not be seen, something he had always done naturally as breathing, and slipped away from his captors. The only person who had not been fooled by this ability was the Jedi Master who then arranged for him to go to Tython for training. Randall's astonishment when he was discovered had made the Master chuckle, but brought him to the attention of the right person. Master Jenn taught him many of the basic force skills Randall often used. He admitted he was not a warrior, that Randall needed special training beyond his own.

He forced himself to focus on his current situation. He had spent the night casually drifting around the spaceport to gather information. Knowledge was power. As badly as he felt for the other passengers his own sense of survival was always his priority. Except for her. He wondered if she was okay,if he could find her. Like many working spaceports this was an area of chaos, he needed a quiet place to concentrate.

He found a small cantina tucked into the corner of the building. Slipping into a table in the corner, he closed his eyes and focused, picturing her green eyes in his mind. She had touched him once, briefly. He had to find her.

There he could just sense something. He opened his eyes to see a ship lifting off. He watch in despair as it hovered for a second before breaching the atmosphere. That tentative touch broke off and he slammed his fists on the table in anger.

Taking a deep breath, he vowed he would find her, never questioning why he felt that way. Plan. Knowledge is power, he had an ability. He needed the knowledge to use it. He mulled the teaching of the Jedi he had learned so far. No this would not suit his need. There were other places to train. He would go there. He would learn. Destiny would not shape him,he would make his own destiny.
