  1. Make this game have some decent controller support. Steams is okay but you need to use steam. I am trying Xpadder but it feels clunky at best. I am not a programmer but throwing in some kind of controller support doesn't seem that complicated to me as many mmo's have it now, .  I have a hard time using a key board and mouse with my arthritis but can still use a controller pretty well. I do love this game. i don't play consistently but always come back to it and sub up when I do.  I would think with controller support you would get more players as many gamers like using controller.  I know I would absolutely play more if this game had support for controller.

  2. Planet conquerors get titles, mounts, and special abilities.

    Why?

There's only ONE spot that counts for anything in game, and that's the top spot.

You get a title for the win that week.

You get to kill specific NPC's early due to some "shield negating" thing I barely ever paid attention to.

There's literally zero difference between spot 2 and spot 10, or even 11 out to infinity, as far as actual rewards are concerned.

Now...people who care about getting the titles will have a problem with what someone called bracketing...20 person guild vs. only 20 person guilds....the reason is that certain titles/invasion planets are ONLY available in the small section...others are ONLY available in the medium selection...same with large.

The ultra large conquest guilds, if they need the title for the small invasion..they need to be able to choose it regardless of how many people are in the guild.

Until THAT mechanic is changed by the devs, we're stuck with the system we have.

  3. Very simple put a cool down on /gquitting a guild and rejoining that same guild of say a 10 days, So if you quit a guild you cannot rejoin that guild for 10 days. Not difficult at all really. Also make legacy wide so you can only actually gain conquest on one character per legacy. You can change the character from week to week but only the character you choose for the week is eligible to put conquest points towards the guild conquest goal. Each character can still get personal conquest done though.

Two (strike that) Three examples of consequences:

    Scenario One:

Gabriel was a varsity wrestler in my high school sitting right on the line between two weight divisions. He could either fill up on water before the weigh-in, and be placed in one weight category, or dehydrate himself the entire day before and wind up at weigh-in at the lower category. He played that game all the time depending who he knew at the other high schools were in a particular weight category he expected he'd be matched up against who were on the roster for the next competition. If he didn't like the competition, in went the water, out went the water.

    The SWTOR equivalent of that:

Guild A loses to Guild B the prior week. So prior to the next Tuesday, Guild A yanks a few alts/members out and wind up in the competition bracket beneath the guild they lost to. Now they're in a different, smaller bracket, different competitors, and competing against smaller, perhaps less capable guilds, and just cheesed the bracketing process for their own gain. Guilds can use alts like ballast, adding and removing them as necessary to fit into the competition bracket they desire.

    Scenario Two:

On Monday, an unwary guild gets several invite requests from players, or a competing guild has someone on the inside capable of inviting people. Those invites are pumpkins, all from a competing guild, all tossing alts into a competitor's guild to occupy member slots, thereby bumping the targeted guild into the next higher competition bracket (and subsequently out of the bracket of the competing guild) the following Tuesday.

Edit: And wonderful, I thought of a third one:

Let's say Bioware sets up a situation with bracketing wherein guild member slots aren't counted toward or against brackets if the person joined less than a week out from a weekly conquest rollover. So August 1st of 2022 is a Monday, meaning by this prior-week lockout rule that it will be the 9th, not the 2nd, before any invites on the 1st count toward bracketing, thereby eliminating scenario #2 above, or at least buying time (a week) for the targeted guild to kick out all the pumpkins.

But the reverse is also useful. On Monday, August 1st, 2022, a guild has 8 (or however many they want) of its top-performing, hardest-hitting, best-tanking, best-healing players /gquit, making them ineligible for contributing to either conquest or the bracketing count until the 9th. They all rejoin immediately.

Those top players aren't contributing to slot counts, not directly contributing to conquest, but are still fully functional and still able to carry their weaker comrades through hardmode ops and whatever else they participate in — but now the guild's in a lower bracket, facing potentially weaker competition.

Edit 2: And it gets even better:

With the scenario above, if Bioware made an additional rule that players who /gquit still contribute to their last guild's slot count a whole week, all they must do on Monday, August 1st, 2022, is /gquit their main guild, join their trash alt guild, /gquit that immediately, rejoin their main guild, all within minutes. Now their trash guild is the most previous guild that they quit from.

Rule subverted, and off they go to carry their comrades in hard mode in a lower bracket.

Guilds are competitive enough that they'll work the math, just like Gabriel did, to defeat bracketing, any way they can.

  4. I stated what I wanted what you are talking about is semantics. You are exaggerating. Here is the reality on servers right now there are maybe 2-3 large conquest guilds per server. What I have seen is they weekly split up the conquest so they don't compete against each other. The same 2 0r 3 guilds win every week. Very seldom will you actually see all the large conquest guilds going for the large prizes. You see them splitting up the field so the large guilds don't really compete against each other. By bracketing conquest by guild size you will get more guilds competing period as it won't be a lock every week as to who will win. Basically what the large conquest guilds are doing now amounts to trading wins in PvP. Never truly competing.
  5. First of all size has nothing to do with skill small guild PVP groups beat large guild PVP groups all the time! Second I am not saying that a 20 person guild should beat a 1000 person guild. I am saying a 20 person guild should go up against other 20 person guilds. A 1000 person guild should go up against other 1000 person guilds. A 20 person guild shouldn't have to compete against a 1000 person guild. It would make conquest more viable and challenging for everyone involved and would increase conquest participation by guilds. So many guilds don't do conquest at all. Why?, because they know they have no chance in winning period, so why try?

More to the point, the people participating in the flood of rage would be right.
  6. By your logic big guilds should win everything PvP, GSF, Ops just because they have the numbers. A smaller guild can be just as active and have more skilled players than a larger guild. They don't deserve to "win" because they are smaller? I'm Sorry but that's Malaraky!

    Explain "win."

If you mean will a guild of 20 active people ever blast a guild of 1,000 active people into outer space and take the top spot on the large-target leader board?

    No.

    Make 9th place?

    No.

    Make 8th place?

    Good luck.

Russia invaded Hungary in 1956, not the other way around.

Any in-game contortion that would allow a 20-person or even a 100-person guild to outperform a guild with 1,000 active members all hauling large numbers in conquest would bring a flood of rage on the forums saying how stupidly backward that is.

  7. Is there any plans to revamp Conquest to make it possible for smaller guilds to actually win? If not, maybe consider this as an option. Making it so only mega guilds can win isn't really enticing. It is very difficult for new or small guilds to be able to get a foothold and survive in this game because most people want to join a guild with all the perks, titles, mounts, rewards few people actually want to have to work for these things from scratch. Making it so smaller guilds could actually win Conquest would go a long way to resolving this issue.

I suggest basing conquest on guild size so you don't have a 50 member guild competing against a 1000 member guild. Let the Mega Guilds compete against each other.

  8. We are a small guild on Star Forge looking to grow. There are opening for officers positions for motivated individuals PvP, GSF, Ops officer all needed. We are looking for active, social, helpful , members as well. We are a casual fun guild, not hardcore, we still want to progress through content starting in 7.0. Looking to build our ranks to get ready for 7.0. We have a SH.FS,GB and discord. We want people that want to help grow a guild ie still need to unlock FS. If you just want to join a guild for the perks this is not the place for you. If you are motivated, and enjoy helping a guild grow, if you are more about helping the guild then just getting perks then look us up.
  9. I have played this game on and off since beta I love the story and the game. Over the years I have moved and bought/built PCs switch internet but one thing that doesn't change is lag spikes. No matter where I live, what internet I use, what PC I use etc... there is always lag spikes fairly frequently. This makes the game unenjoyable at least and unplayable depending on other things like internet etc. But the consistency in this "feature" it has to be server side and has been for years. I want to know what if anything is being done to fix this issue. With the internet I got at this point in time and the frequent consistency of these lag spikes the game is currently unplayable. I have no other option for internet to lessen the impact on my end. I think it has been long enough and this issue should be addressed.
  10. I know this is probably an unpopular point of view, but really I just started playing again after a small break and started leveling a new character. I have done only the class story line, and planetary heroics and the very first flash point Black Talon, I just finished Dromund Kass class story line, still have the heroics to do but I am almost level 30 already. ***?! I get people want to level fast but that is just totally ridiculous.

This is only game where I enjoy leveling because of the story but what's the point if I am going to be max level before I even finish chapter one.

The planetary level cap is not a good solution because you still have all your higher level abilities even though you're only technically level 18 but you have level 30 abilities, I mean come on please. Plus all your higher level gear stats.

This game has always been about the story, but enable to enjoy the story it needs to be challenging as well. I am not one who likes to level in 5 minutes and start endgame, if I did I would play WoW where the story doesn't matter and its all about endgame and gear.

I know Bioware can make a great story driven game. Don't lose your focus find the balance between leveling and challenging content not just for endgame but all the way thru.

  11. Whats your member count?

Do you guys have a website or anything?

Right now we have about 10 members. We do not have a website as we are on several games, servers etc... We use discord voice chat as our central communication hub. That way no matter what faction, game, or server anyone is on we can still all chat and ask for help when needed. We do Operations on Saturday around 7PM EST/4PM Server Time. We group for flashpoints, heroics etc... I like to say it's not so much about the game you are playing but the people you are gaming with.

  12. I have given this some thought. I think really unique items would be good subscriber rewards. How about a different assortment of personal starships that subs can have access too. I feel a modable personal starship would be awesome that way subs could have a truly unique looking starship. Special Subscriber only quest would be fun with unique armor sets, dyes, weapons, color crystals etc... as rewards for them. Just a little side line for subs. Also being able to create a personal flag, banner, armor logo would be awesome too. Anything that is special and unique so subs can stand out a little but still not all look the same.
  13. Claiming ignorance is no excuse. If you bought a few and sold them back, like a couple of stacks, or if you bought them and sold them on the GTN for an outrageous profit, well that's just buyer beware imo. But I believe what they are talking about is like buying a thousand of them for 1 credit= 1000 credits, and selling them back to the vendor for 100 credits a piece =100,000 credits or even worse. That's the exploit. I am sure they will be able to tell the difference.
  14. I would go with making it a sub only thing. But make available a unlock on the cartel market for f2p or preferred because as we all know its all about the money. So make the unlocks like the escrow where you can gain access to it for different amounts. just so they can make more money from f2p or preferred on the cartel market.
  15. I would really love to see an in game calendar that could be used to schedule guild events on. It would be more convenient and more practical then using a third party web site.

I would like to see this calendar be totally interactive so we could not only schedule guild events on it, but members could sign up for them with class and level so the raid leaders and GM's could see at a glance what they would need to fill an ops group. Also it would be great for in game scheduled events like bounty week. It would be available in game right there so everyone could see if there was any event happening.

I feel this would prove a great asset to the game and increase players involvement in the game as they would not have to tab out or open up a new window as it would all be right in the game.

  16. There could be a timer on the rep for members so if they /gquit or get kicked or the guild disbands they have like say up to 72 hours to re guild before they lose their rep. This gives people time and the ability to switch guilds for what ever reason. I too kick for inactivity after 30 days if I don't know why they are gone. Some people get job transfers, go to a new college etc... that may take time. If they let me know that they will be unavailable for extended period then I make a note of it.
  17. As a Guild Master I find it ever increasingly difficult to recruit members as this game is more PUG friendly then most I have played. Which is a good thing but it does hurt guilds as there really is no need to join a guild except to do Hardcore Progressive Operations or Hardcore Ranked Team PVP or Conquest. I find more often then not people just want to join a guild for the 10% XP/Rep boost and that's it.

I think that the way things are now makes getting people to join guilds, that actually want to be part of a guild and work together etc... , is very difficult at best. It shouldn't be that way.

I suggest first removing the instant XP/Rep boost ant individual gets from joining a guild. Start it at 0 and as the individual participates in Guild Events he/she can gain more XP/Rep Boost and also increase the total amount one can gain from that boost from 10% to maybe 20-25% make it worth working for. I would define a Guild event as any heroic mission, group mission, Flashpoint, Operation, Premade GSF/PVP team where at least 75% of the group are in the same guild. So basically for a 4 man group you would need 3 guildes, for an 8 man group you would need 6 guildies etc... All the participating members would get a guild rep increase as well as bonus XP/Rep. Yes I believe you should institute a guild reputation policy. Of Course there would need to be a reward system in place as people gain rep. Maybe items that could only be used in guild groups such as mass res on a wipe or a portable summoning item that can be used by any guild member, with high enough rep, to summon other guild members in their group to their location.

It would also be good if we could design our own guild flags/tabards/sigils/banners that we could use to decorate strongholds, Flagships, gear with.

These are just basic thoughts i have on how to improve quality of life for guilds overall. Particularly for the more casual guilds that need there more casual members to participate in guild events.

    Thank you for your time

  18. First of all the main reasons for the Ravager exploit ban is that it was too well known and being openly discussed in general chat in game and forums, as well as many other sites. Bioware had to take action as there was widely public knowledge of the exploit. If it wasn't so openly discussed and used and abused Bioware would have done what it normally does fix it quietly and carry on.

The public knowledge the ravagers exploit and the public knowledge that is was indeed an exploit, it's not like people went in there and used it without knowing it was an exploit that's just BS, is what forced Bioware's hand into using the ban hammer. Action had to be taken! I feel it is a good thing and give Bioware an thumbs up for doing it.

As for Wintrading well that is bad too. But is there a fix Bioware can do? Short of making it impossible to do premades? Which imo is not a bad idea. I suppose they could implement a cross server queue for ranked PVP only that may fix it, as it would be harder to queue when no other teams are.

The bottom line is that people who use and abuse the exploit knew what they were doing was against the rules and knew they could get banned. They took a chance and lost. That is their fault and no one else's. Looking to make Bioware the bad guy because they got caught is like blaming a judge in court because you did a crime and got sentenced for it. It just is illogical and irrelevant,

I say to those exploit abusers you got what you deserve. You did the crime now do the time and stop crying and trying to throw other people under the bus with you. Man or Woman up and deal with it.

  19. I am a avid fan of SWTOR and enjoy many aspects if the game. I really like your PVP bolster system as you are leveling. I find warzones in the game very enjoyable however ,I do have, some suggestions that i believe would make PVP more user friendly, if you will. First of all let the player choose what warzones he/she wants to play. This, by the way, would be good for flashpoints and raids as well. I prefer warzones to death matches myself ,at the very least a individual should be able to opt out of one or the other if he/she prefers to. As it is currently now I leave anytime I get into death matches and re-queue. This makes my wait longer and I am sure annoys other ppl in the queue when I leave after a pop, I am positive I am not he only one who does this. By giving players the option to choose you would reduce this annoyance in the game and I believe, make players happier overall.

Also, if you were to implement a cross server queue for PVP only this would reduce queue times. I am not a big fan of cross server queues for any pve aspect of the game but I don't see how it can hurt in PVP.

    Thank you for you time.
