  1. *I may have found a work around. I have tried and tried so many times to get perfect on Dantooine and I just did it for all three factions. The one thing I did different was at the finish line. I DID NOT cross the final checkpoint and instead went around the final finish gate and went through from the other side. All the achievements popped when I went through the final gate but from the opposite side. So if someone else can check this too. Do everything as you normally would do but ignore the final crossing banner and instead go around the finish line and go through from the opposite side. Please let us know if this works for you too.

    You are a Legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thank you so much. I've done the Dantooine course over 60 times each and your workaround got the job done first time on all three bike gangs.

    I can confirm that avoiding the final gate and instead crossing the finish line from the opposite (wrong) side worked to pop the 'Perfect' achievement.

    Made my day. Thank you once more :D

  2. I could be wrong as I haven't spent much time on Dantooine but can't you buy some gratitude item from the rep vendor for 1 credit.

    I imagine it does the same thing, if it does instead of a credit sink, shouldn't this be referred to as a moron tax? You can spend 1 credit or 15 million for the same thing. Though given some people defence of subscribing to a game no matter what it offers, they could well have found people that would pay 15 million times the price for the same thing and argue that its value for credits.

    The prerequisite to buying that item is to have the achievement completed. The achievement is what takes 150mil to complete. That 1 credit item is for your alts ONCE you have completed the 150mil achievement.

  3. I'm more 'busy' in SWTOR these days that's true. However I was never bored in SWG. I'd play 10hrs straight without breaking a sweat. In SWTOR I do actually get bored after 2 or 3. Granted I now have less time to play then when I played 10-12,000 hrs in SWG but still there are very few game mechanics in SWTOR with any depth to them. As for SWG, crafting, space combat, decorating, resources/loot, player cities (post 2007), player bounties, Beast Mastery (mutation) were all fleshed out systems I lost thousands of hours in.

    I'd say SWG's spirit is something SWTOR was never meant to emulate. Sandbox-Themepark etc.

    EDIT: Seems I completely misread the OP. Nothing to see here...move along.

  4. I'm a healer in 230 gear (plus set bonus). Lvl 30 Acina companion. It seems every video/guide is done by a dps or tank.

    During the middle boss fight I'm not able to keep Acina alive in tank stance. I have to heal her, myself, interrupt the adds while trying to kill them asap as Acina gets aggro. If Acina is in heal stance, I last longer but little to no damage to the boss due to us both healing non-stop. Have tried LOS, companion 'passive/active merry-go-round' and now after 90mins spent and over 1mil in repair costs I've looked it up online...alas, no 'Healer' tips available. Should I just wait for the eventual nerf to the dmg in that fight or does someone have any successful tips they can share.

    Thank you.

  5. I spent over 10,000 hours playing and loving SWG but even I don't think this thread is a good idea. Sandbox games are mostly dead. Themeparks are the present and future (possibly with a few sandbox elements). I miss SWG and the fantastic community I spent 7 years with...but today I have SWTOR to satisfy my SW needs.

    Oh I have one regardless...Space mining SWG: yes, SWTOR: nope.

  6. I understand the "kill the game' idea. The purchase of CC for cash is the only thing keeping this place afloat. Pretty sure we are under the 500k minimum subs that they used to say was the bottom line for keeping this game profitable enough to keep the servers open.

    This gets used a lot. It's a quote from over 4 years ago. Since then the servers have been reduced, the staff let go and costs slashed. The whole business model was changed (with the F2P shift) and so I very much doubt that this game needs 500k subs to break-even now.

    Agree with the OP though, these new packs are terrible value.

  7. Is it an ironic post OP? All of my chars are fully bugged. I have access to Zakel but the planet is empty. I can't launch KOFE scenario. I lost my ship DROID on all of my chars. I have dozen of crap stuffs in my bags coming from nowhere. Names of my companions are invisible in the companions page. Launcher is in German and it stays in German and it doesn't change even if I select another language. ..

    This is the worst patch since beta squadron tests...

    I have spent over 15hrs playing KoTFE and have found only 2 bugs (ship droid morphed into Treek and the ship component popping up in my inventory upon login). Everything else has been smooth on my end.

  8. On topic, I'm guessing none of you fanbois tried to recruit Qyzen Fess yet.

    I don't think the Qyzen recruitment is that big a deal. You have 2 ways to recruit him. One way requires grouping, one way can be soloed. Both ways can take one to 3 hours.

  9. Am speechless (though obviously i can still type :D).

    Easily the best expansion yet and tbh I was less enthusiastic prior to launch than with previous expansions. I still hate level synch but i'm happy to adapt seeing as the rest of the features/changes are fantastic. Not sure why certain 'usual' achievements have been left out like reaching lvl 65 (on each class), kill achievements (kill 1000 on Zakuul for example), Exploration achievements etc but overall I'm very impressed.

    /Tiphat!

    P.S. Adore the story and Alliance feature.

  10. This is the least excited i've been about an expansion launch but still there's lots I am looking forward to. That's mainly due to the level sync rubbish that I dislike in any form in any game but I'll adapt quickly enough. Everything else is right up my alley:

    A new story arc to get my teeth into (with 2 toons at least);

    Levelling up 2 toons solely via WZ's;

    2 more toons levelled solely with GSF matches;

    10 toons levelled up with heroics and flashpoints;

    New crafting markets to try and corner;

    New deco to add;

    New achievements to obtain.

    No clue about the alliance system but I'm guessing it's a grind of some sort and i'm partial to those so all's good...except that blooming level synch mechanic.

  11. LOL, nah JK. It's just a reskin, and the only reason it costs more is because people will pay more for it.

    It may be the lighting on Tatooine but when I place them side by side in my stronghold they look identical. It's not a reskin if they're identical in every single way (including colour) with the only difference being the name :w_cool:

  12. I've collected the other Walkhar mounts except the most recent one from today, and have them all on display. But the trickster from the Cartel Market is invisible when I put it down with the rest, or in any spot for that matter. Is it just me or has this happened to anyone else?

    Same here. Have tried placing it on all 4 strongholds and each time it's invisible.

    Maybe that's the 'trick' referenced in the name? :w_cool:

  13. (Originally read this in the general section)

    It appears they have stealth changed the NPC limit for strongholds. Pets and Animal Mounts no longer count toward the NPC limit. Intentional or not this is AWESOME, going to go redecorate my strongholds now!

    This was basically my biggest gripe with the GSH expansion, if this stays I am one happy camper. :D

    Yes it is intentional and yes it is awesome.
