  1. And twyl I'm looking forward to it I'll look for you online whenever I log in or I'll hop in b30 mumble and look for you. But you're only allowed to play if you're on my team

I'm already 95% full conq gear so don't need the comms. I just like killing people in a friendly way.

  2. Even if people reported players for what they think are quicker huttball pickups f.e. how would bioware even be able to detect or enforce this rule ? Seems impossible on their end.

What I typically see is a player casting the pub equivalent of force shroud at the ball in mid while its surrounded by 3-4 of my team-mates and can pick it up from 2-3 player lengths away from the ball spawn. While we are spam clicking to grab the ball these players can grab it quicker if that makes sence. Even if we aren't cced or grenaded (both teams typically use grenades or other cc's to control the ball spawn area with 1-2 snipers also ).

Is this what others are referring too when players seem to get the ball quicker in this thread ? Just asking.

  3. I'll side with foxmob and agree with him on pugs and how people talk to them. People will react much better if they are given respect and asking not just telling etc. I quess that's a people skill that's learned or your born with it.

pro players can be told the goals and they will do it 99% of the time. if you don't know the person its best to at first ask as a suggestion.

  4. I estimate that I've done roughly 3,500 warzones in my short career and that's fairly average imo.

I do hate telling pugs/others what to do, but sometimes it is nessasry to give them leadership/advice/critisims in the hope they can contribute to the pre-mades goals and or improve themselves pvp-wise. You would think they would want to listen to people who have been there before and know whats up.

    1. Do yourselfs a favor and get rid of the old pvp gearz and do some dailies to get urself at least high lvl pve gear at the least with some damage/hp on it. Then invest into the new pvp armors as u earn comms. And listen to advice and ask questions of other pvp players to find were u can improve. I always took the time to answers pm's from players who send me tells asking questions and i'm sure i'm not the only one willing to do so.

    2. 400-1400 expertise and below 25k is not enough for any wz. And always aim to do 300k damage in a wz as a dps class. Hell, I can do 200k easy just guarding a node. (btw if I solo que you really don't want to stick your best dps on guarding a node while the ones that can't do any damage fight it out like true warriors at south and mid nodes. happens to me occasionaly. pet-peave of mine)

    3. Also if u guard someone, make sure u stay in range of them and learn to guard switch to those that need it constantly.

    4. if you are under-geared or lack experience etc, accept the fact that you are support to 4 man pre-mades. You will be asked to guard nodes, call incomings and numbers ina timely manner, and not after you have died and rezzed up.

And watch the doors in voidstar, don't stand right on the nodes for stealths to cc u a coupel of times and u have no cc break left, die then ask for help. If you do call incs and nobody showsup that's fine, you did your job and can sleep well at night.

  5. This again comes down to the philosophy of warzone compositions. Should the pugs do whatever they want, and force the premades to split up and do jobs that pugs won't when they could be doing something more effective as a group, or should the pugs realize the premade is why they will win or lose, and ride that horse until it's dead.

I remember making a really long post in a thread that got deleted, but essentially, I belive that if you pop 4 solo q'ers and 4 people in a premade, the premade should be doing the heavy lifting at mid, or controlling the huttball, or fighting on the busy door on VS, while the pugs fill in the role of support players, like node guards, interceptors, and dpsers.

Because, really, a 4 man that can work cohesively and not have their awe's broken or whirlwinds broken by either bad players or players that don't know it's coming, will come out on top in a game most of the time. As a solo q'er you should be supplementing the premade you're with, not trying to be a hero and gimping the only chance you have of winning the game by ruining the concept of a premade.

    ^^^^ THIS +1000% +rep

That's exactly the way it should be.

Xzil is also correct and I see that a lot as well. Those are the pve'ers who will never get pvp gear and I cant understand why they even que up for wz's. There must be some hidden reason pve wise for them to do it.

  6. I think the return of some HYDRA guys, B30 and some of the US groups has made it better for imps, but on a whole the pugs are still garbage. Between Bloodline, LD, and Prime Defense, I still feel like most of the time, the pubs have better or equal PVP guilds in premades, but imps still end up with the mr icanthit150kdps in a full voidstar. Arbitrary evidence is arbitrary, though.

    Rant on:

That was so true last night for my group. We kept getting 3-4 pugs with 22k hp and incapable of breaking 50k damage. To make matters worse instead of following our directions they all individually went and did their own things.

For example going off into corners and doing random dances to going after nodes we didn't need or standing still and watching us get raped while trying to get the nodes we actually needed. And then they have the balls to give us advice......

Not enough veterans were queing to thin out the bads.

I'm still seeing people wearing low lvl greens, battlemaster, champion and recruit gear. Their 450-1400 expertise really helps.....

It's tempting to type their names here for others to avoid and leave the wz and save themselves trouble, but I want to keep my posting privaleges.

I've heard that most of the good pubs will not que unless they are in pre-mades and are more likely to leave bad groups at the first hint of defeat then imps. Whether that is true or not idk, I don't play pubs personally.

    Rant off:

  7. In Age Of Conan MMO we had a player named Greymouser who would go into every mini-game/warzone and stand on the rezpad the entire match and proceed to shout and degrade his team mates the entire time. Telling them how bad they were and how they couldn't possibly ever win or get better.

It was the funniest thing ever to listen too, he was an epic troll.

But, you could pay him some money and he would come off the rez pad and fight.

Just thought i'd share this and hopefully we can see some Greymousers in this game too. Would be funny.

  8. After some thought, I edited my post. Can't let people think I actually like anyone in this game.

I was humbly honored that you mentioned me. You should change your post back to the way it was.

  9. Though I seem to have only made enemies since my return to the game, I'll miss seeing certain names in warzones. Even in some serious beatdowns, was often fun to see the "accidental" B30 or US superqueues. Though I won't miss seeing Blunty or Guts take no damage when being focused or going against Tw'yl in a few second shoot out before I need to run away :)

I will be staying here because I have too many friends to loose if I transfer. And I need to make sure I touch every pub in their "naughty place".

Fare thee well Lethal Dose 50, may all your ups and downs be in bed.

    Sincerely,

    Tw'yl

  10. Hilarious.

There are some really good imps playing now, shouts to Beer Thirty, US/AD and Hydra... but as a whole we are still behind. Full pub pugs>>>>full imp pugs in my experience.

I would agree with that statement, but we still have a lot more work to do on imp side.

And lol at whoever said they wished the hard-core pvpers would leave so they can standstill and farm objective points.....Saw that earlier in the thread.

  11. I'm almost 25 now. Don't know if that matters...

Voltron was on CN not too long ago...

    Spaceballs was like what... 1960s?

Im 39 and yeah I remember Voltron cartoon was like late 60s to early 70s I think that came out.

    Spaceballs was the 80s.

  12. Big thank you to Spi'rit who I also assume is the video poster in this thread. Forgive me if that's not the case.

Big thank you to the healers and teammates.

    World record thread:

  13. I just got a new record for damage taken by a sniper but the wz kicked me out before I could screenshot it im so sad.

738,000 something dieing once to Drspock something. Im saying it anyways jus because well I can.

Lexi a knight did 2.5 mill damage In the same wz. I told him/her to screenshot his since I think that's a record.

  14. The prices on 65 pvp mods and enhancements are outrageous and make no sence whatsoever. They should be lowered by half minimum.

It is price gouging and forcing us to buy this stuff to min/max due to them not having any pvp content. And it also shows their distain towards pvpers in general.

The purple crafted 54 gear being bis is also proof of this.
