  1. Here is your answer. I canceled both of my subs that I have had since launch. 7.0 was the last straw. I never even downloaded the new content! Just canceled my subs the day it dropped and moved on to another MMO. I am done with it. Once my sub runs out, I will no longer be able to post on the forums either, but, that is ok.
  2. I logged in last night. I was so disgusted that I just logged out. I came here today to read Dev posts but they are in denial of what they did. For the first time since launch, I feel like canceling my sub. I am going to check out other online games today. My friends had me Try GW2 but I did not like it at all.

THIS right here.....I have canceled my sub and moved on to FF14. So far, it is pretty good. Some things I don't like, but, over all it is a good game. I like the sci-fi games better, but, this game is playable......

  3. Easy, do like I did. If you are no longer happy with Bioware's huge pile of dog *****, then cancel your sub! I had 2 subs from launch!! It was a hard thing to do, walking away after all the money and time I invested into this game. But, if you do not hit them where it hurts, Bioware will not listen to what we have to say!! I played the PTS, hated it, and submitted lots of feedback. Which, evidently, was not listened to. So, I made the hard choice to drop my subs! I only have a few days left of forum time, as I never even downloaded the 7.0 garbage. Sad too, as SWTOR WAS awesome! But, they had to go and screw it up!!
  4. To help keep this thread on track from the clear trolling going on to derail it.

This post here is on point. More than a few of the changes made in 7.0 has changed the fundamental aspects that made it FUN. This is being echoed by many on the forums and can be clearly seen by the drop in population over the last 10 days. We had a major bump when 7 hit, and it has slid right back down already with a few too many old timers having quit from the start.

Most people like the second class option and removing class from story. Most would like loadouts more if they actually worked completely.

    Undo the UI changes.

    Undo stripping the skills.

    Undo the conquest changes.

    Undo the removal of Renown.

Undo the insanity of giving every mob so much freaking health dragging out combat.

    Undo the companion gimping.

Give us back our cover skill bar.

And put flipping mods back into the game.

We got far more TAKEN from us than GIVEN with this poor excuse for an expansion. It removed too many goals and most of the FUN.

THIS RIGHT HERE^^^^^ My exact sentiments!!!

  5. At this point, I feel this is only damage control. The damage has been done, and players, like myself, are not happy and have pretty much jumped a sinking ship. I have been playing since launch, with 2 subs! I played the PTS and provided feedback. I was not happy with the game play at all. Was not happy with 90% of the changes. My suggestion was to push back the release date for 7.0 until the big issues were addressed and resolved.

But, since Bioware just implemented 7.0 as is, I see now that the company does not care about those that pay the bills. So at the drop of 7.0, I did not even download the patch. I cancelled my sub on both accounts and removed my credit card from the system.

And the ONLY way I will renew my sub, is if the 7.0 is totally rolled back and removed! Otherwise, I am done with SWTOR.

This is what happens when a company does not listen to their player base. I mean, we played the game, because we enjoyed it. Once it becomes un-enjoyable, subs will start bleeding like crazy. I would love to see how many subs have been dropped in the last 2 weeks!!

  6. Yet you still haven't given your basis or added anything. You could program a bot to post with more substance than this or your previous post.

So you like it. Great. What's to like? Do you enjoy grinding for gear? Some people do and if so then I suppose that's a positive for you. As far as the story, you presume we'll get more but that's yet to be seen, blind faith... how much more? How frequently? If they even put out a solid roadmap with release dates and expected playtime I'd be much less cynical. Do you know something the rest of us don't?

As with any update it's certainly a mixed bag and there's some good thrown in.. Alliance armors finally added to collections, Galactic Command items obtainable again, heck even changing the GSF weekly from 10 matches to 4 is a positive.

But once you are geared, what's to make anyone log in daily? Conquest is an insane grind now for anyone running lots of alts that's no longer an incentive to log in daily. Renown was flawed but it gave us something to do... I think Command was better but not without its own flaws; now there's nothing. I won't count Seasons as part of 7.0 and it has an expiration date but that's my only motivation to log in daily now... that's not an improvement if the goal is to get players to play more.

Some of my characters feel the same after losing abilities, others are simply not as fun (Mara took a big hit here for PvE); so it depends what classes you play and in what content. If the Utility Point system was complex, they replaced it with an equally complex skill tree.

UI updates could have happened at any time.. don't need to be part of 7.0.. and for the record, the new inventory is still giving me migraines and I have to close it quickly and try to not look directly at it in order to avoid this. Besides that, I don't mind the change.

I realize we are all different and likes/hates are subjective in addition to being highly dependent on the specific content any one person plays. Some people enjoy running in a hamster wheel for gear, some think that giving a boss more health makes it more of a challenge while others feel like it just wastes time and drags a fight out needlessly. Some believe nerfing a companion makes the game more challenging or that stopping to kill every mob and turning 20min of content into an hour. Honestly, I'm glad you like the changes... someone needs to be on the same page as this development team but what makes this an "expansion" and not just a patch?

    Yep, Spot on!!

  7. I posted it as a joke because the girl plays both games and in both games General chat was filled with people talking about that they had just quit SWTOR for the first time in 10 years

This game was very slowly dying for the past few years and now I feel they may very well have killed the game.

I thought people were being melodramatic about the PTS. After seeing this abomination in game it's practically unplayable

I put many hours into the PTS and feedback was left. Good, indepth feedback. Like so many others did. And it is obvious that BW/EA does not listen to their playerbase. I have been playing this game since launch, and I HAD 2 subscriptions!! Key word, HAD. Both of those subs are now canceled. I have been playing FF14, and it is pretty good. But, SWTOR was my go to MMO. I am more into the sci-fi than fantasy, and SWTOR filled that niche for 10 years. But, the game is no longer fun to play and 7.0 destroyed just about every aspect I enjoyed of the game. The ONLY reason I am not uninstalling, is by some little glimmer of hope, Bioware sees the subs bleeding out, and does a revert back to 6.*. But if that does not happen, then I guess I will uninstall the game and wait for another sci-fi based game to grab my attention. I did the same thing with WOW about a year before SWTOR launched. I played Rift for w bit. It was my place holder until SWTOR launched.

So now, here I am, looking for the next game......I guess I will be on the forums until my sub expires. And I still have not even downloaded 7.0.

  8. I watched the trailer first. I was stoked beyond all belief when it finished. Of course reality slapped me down off the ladder, kicked me in the nuts, then spat on me.

I do feel bad for those players who paid for the 39.99 collector edition.

Wow....this right here. I did not even download the new content. I played the PTS and knew 7.0 would suck. I just subbed to FF14 on Sunday. That is where my $15 will be going for now on.....I am actually saving money, as I had 2 subs here....so that is a plus from 7.0!!

  9. Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14 Teams would like to take this opportunity to thank BioWare for the new players they have just sent over to their games

Funny you should post this....I downloaded FF14 on Sunday in anticipation of the garbage 7.0 release. I will be giving them my money now. Seeing how Bioware has totally messed up this game!

  10. Between spinning loading screen for hours, missing cover bar for slingers or snipers, missing CE edition items, client crashes... and the list goes on and on, this is one pure pile of disaster of an 'expansion'

Here is the thing, us veteran players that actually played the PTS extensively and know Bioware told You so here on this very forum but where censored, and ridiculed and told this would never be the case and that all would be fine.

Looking at the impressive list of completely disastrous game bugging bugs - not being able to get past loading screen can be categorized as pretty game breaking for example, must say we have hit the lowest of low in this games history :-(

As someone that supported this game on 2 accounts for over 10 years and spends thousands in the Cartel store this is just completely :(

I wish I could give you a thousand thumbs up for this post. I too have been playing since launch of SWTOR. I played the PTS as well, and absolutely hated it. So now, at 7.0 launch, and reading the forum comments, I have decided to drop both of my subs as well. I have not even downloaded the new content!

Bioware should have put a lot more thought into this expansion. And it looks like the player input was just thrown into the trash can.

There are tons of bugs in the game that should have been fixed, tons of other better ideas that should have been implemented. But, oh well. I would say that 7.0 will have the opposite effect Bioware was hoping for. I can foresee lots of players dropping subs and moving on to other MMO's. Which is sad, because I really, really enjoyed playing this game. Just too bad the management will not listen to who pays their salary. And on that note, I am no longer paying.

Peace out SWTOR, it was a good 10 years...

  11. To all of the feedback on this forum. Because like 99.9% is all negative feedback about how horrible 7.0 is. Maybe Bioware needs to take a step back, put 7.0 on hold, and go back to the drawing board. Because right now, if they proceed with the plans and the current expansion drop, I will be canceling both of my subs. Been playing this game since launch, I have 30 characters at level 75, maxed IR and hit personal CQ every week. I enjoy playing this game as is. Are you paying attention Bioware?? Fix the current bugs. Leave the level cap as is. Increase the IR if you so desire. But, please, do not do a complete game overhaul. You are going to lose lots of players.
  12. Yep, I addressed this a couple of months ago. I think that this game will go the opposite direction that Bioware thinks, if 7.0 drops as is. I for one will be canceling my subscription. IMHO, the game right now, is a very good game. Just needs bugs fixed and a few additions. And honestly, if they would have just increased the IR cap, no level increase is really needed. I like the Reknown system as is. I have been playing since launch, and have been through the thick and thin with this game. But 7.0 will be the last straw for me. I have 2 subs, and will cancel both.
  13. The answer to bad development shouldn't be "join a guild". I'm not saying a MMO should be solo friendly, but it shouldn't be solo antagonistic, especially on a MMO that the devs are billing as "play how you want".

Bingo!!! I absolutely HATE a response like "Well, join a guild" This game is not supposed to be GUILD driven!!! If you want to join a guild and run OPS and FP's, fine, then by all means do it. But, that being said, Guilds are not for everyone. And should NOT be forced down everyones throats.

SWTOR was billed as a "Play your way" game....which with 7.0, it is now going to be "Join a guild, or be left behind"

  14. I agree and I believe the biggest thing that will piss people off is the new ultra grindy and broken gearing system. Seriously why the hell did they need to create a whole new gearing system when they could've easily just made higher rating gear with the same mechanics and properties as 6.0 gear. Same with earning the gear. Now we have many different kinds of gear...and if you want max gear rating like most completionists do. You have to play NiM operations for 330 gear. Like seriously?! So if I want max gear I have to play the most stress inducing and toxic content in the game. So bad to the point where raiding guilds will "train" you in HM ops before even considering you for NiM ops. Sorry guys but if I wanted to be "trained" and considered like so damn career. I wouldn't be playing this game I'd be getting a new job. This is a GAME. Not a damn job. Why not just make it so every player can get max gear like 6.0?! How hard is that?! So yeah this update is going to lose a lot of players because they will be locked out of a lot of gear. They have to deal with buffed enemies and their nerfed level 80 characters with less abilities and less DPS than before (cause the new garbage story and conquest gear has more endurance than mastery and power). Overall if this is how 7.0 will be. Might as well prepare to cut your subscription cause we will be entering the dark days of this game. For all the time they spent breaking this MMO. They could've been making amazing story content...

I could NOT agree with you more!!! This is exactly how I feel as well!!

  15. Not sure who thought every inventory slot needs a border around the item, but man, that is haaaaard to look at. Can we get rid of those or make it a toggle option? (if it is a toggle option, where can i find it?)

This WHOLE rewrite is HARD to look at...I hate it! And after playing on the PTS, I will more than likely drop my sub, as well as my sons, if 7.0 is like the PTS junk!

There is no need to redo the entire game. The current game play is awesome. Just fix the little bugs that have been reported over and over, time and time again. We never asked for a complete overhaul on the UI! We never asked for level increases. We never asked for new endgame gear. Bioware, LISTEN to your player base!!! All we really want is for you to fix the bugs that are there, and give us some expansions WITHOUT all the other junk!!

The current Tech Fragment system is working well!! Why mess that up??? It seems like you would have learned from the ossus fragment fiasco!!

If you want to increase the game IR, fine, do so. ADD some new gear if you want to. Add some new races. Add some new personal starships that we can purchase and decorate. There are LOTS of things we have asked for and have NOT gotten.....Do not give us junk that we have not asked for. THAT is how you lose players. By wading too deep into the stupidity and over thinking stuff.

It seems that the consensus among players is overwhelmingly AGAINST this new expansion and major changes to the game.

All I can say Bioware, is you had better think long and hard before this drop. Because drop is what your going to get. Drop in subs!

  16. So in other words, Kai will not longer be selling the sets we are trying to collect?? How lame! So now, these sets that will be added to our collections, will no longer be able to collect if you do not already have them. Yeah, thats just awesome. SMH...I sure Bioware does something that will help us collect those sets. Kind of crappy to just kick everyone to the curb like that!
  17. I am really going to have to think hard about continuing my sub after 7.0 drops. 10 years this game is going on. And for 10 years the silence by Bioware on issues in game, have been the norm. I left WOW because of how Blizzard jacked up that game. Bioware is going down that same path. I am very close to dropping my sub. Sad, as I have been a sub since launch. I guess it was a good run while it lasted. Maybe time to move on to another game. Sad to see Bioware will not listen to the people who pay their salary. Kind of like a politician who will not listen to their constituents. I guess it is about time to take my money elsewhere.
