  1. The enrage timer doesn't start ticking until the last stage - take your time and control when the 30% transition happens. If you're caught in a mind trap during the transition, you shouldn't die. Once the debuff wears off (90-second duration if memory serves correctly) you should reappear on the bottom floor. Aim to get the boss down to about 32%, then stop damaging him until anyone in the air has landed, and you've got everyone out of any mind traps. This also gives you a chance to get everyone to the western side of the room to make the journey downwards.

Is this a fact? So you can take as much time as you want in the first two phases?

With this information we may have to try and go back tomorrow to get a prenerf kill.

  2. You only take 8% off him during p3? How many pillar stuns do you get? If <3 your dps is way too low in the earlier phases and you're doing something wrong / are undergeared. If 3< you really need to switch faster to Soa when he's stunned. Not sure why you would stay on mindtraps during that, everyone must switch to him instantly when he comes out and you should get 8-10% off during one stun to be able to kill him.
  3. Our powetech survives the first tick with 80% hp remaining. The first chain lightning is completely predictable. You don't need to have 20k hp, you just need to pop 25% damage reduction (and static barrier if you have a sorc).

I'm not saying that this encounter is well designed; The chain lightning damage absolutely should be adjusted. However, even with the current damage it's a simple fight, just annoying.

I survive it (sometimes) with 30% hp, sometimes it just oneshots. That is with energy shield (25% red.) and static barrier, and me waiting to instantly interrupt (aka he kills me on one tick). 19,3k hp fully buffed.

However, yes, I mostly survived it. Not sure how other people are supposed to survive it though, since he does it on random target after the first one.

That aside, the second bug where he goes immune is doing me in. Tried everything, stopping before 10%, stopping before 5%, nuking through before force storm is casted.. nothing helps.

  4. Revan in the Foundry seemed stupid at the time...but knowing the fight and a tank having to actually use his tank abilities is all part of the HM's. It was cake once we figured it out.

Most people seem to feel that the progression goes like this: FP<HM FP<OP<HM OP when in fact it probablly looks more like FP<OP<HM FP<HM OP.

These are HARD encounters, as they should be.

Powertech tank here, I popped my cooldowns at the right time and got hit for 22k. No cake for me.

  5. Just go on the weak/normal mobs first, I never bother with them when I'm tanking, theyre just a hassle to get to and they die in a few hits anyway. After they're killed go on the tanks target or just pick up a strong mob yourself.

As long as you follow this and kill weakest -> strongest it's a cakewalk, and makes it easier for the tank because tanking a pack of 5-6 ranged mobs is just impossible anyway.

  6. From my point of view the only well tuned fight is the one in Mandalorian raiders, everything else is way too easy and just a breeze to run through. You're not always supposed to kill everything on first try, and you should never be able to beat a flashpoint if anyone's under the appropriate level. Get the level needed or even one above, figure out the best way to do it (aka bringing them all down at the same time, if you didn't get the hint by the message you get when you kill one of them). The first time we did it we wiped 2-3 times, then we zerged it down. Last time we wiped with only the last one left, so we stopped to think and brought them all down at the same time with relative ease.
