  1. :d_evil: Admission: I must confess to some, uncertainty regarding something that was mentioned. As a subscriber who's subscription that will persist through most of these dates given, I need clarification.

:d_evil: Placation: I confess to being somewhat needy that way.

:d_evil: Query: Because the Nar Shaddaa Sky palace is mentioned twice, does that mean that it will be unavailable after a time between May and July, then go away again until Early Access? Or do we just have the 5 extra rooms first in May, then it goes down to three rooms in July, and then none when Early Access starts?

:d_evil: Query: Do Subscribers automatically get the Sky Palace with one room when Early Access starts? Or do subscribers have all the Sky Palace with several rooms already unlocked because they're subscribers?

:d_evil: Statement: I appreciate the information provided. It was done well, for a meatbag.

Logged in just to say how awesome this post is :D

  2. I stiull don't understand how to get streams back, so to say, streams that were online days ago only show me the "offline" sign.

So, this is helpful for me.

If your streaming, you will have to have in the twitch settings archive broadcasts ticked. Then it will save your broadcasts.

To view previous broadcasts or other videos. Go to the stream channel and on the right at the top it will say Chat and Videos. You just click videos and it will show previous broadcasts. Hope this helps :)

  3. Sit in chairs, go afk, do minigames, decorate, poke your companions, eat a bagle, spy on your sexy neighbor with your macrobinonculars, pet your miniature isotope-5 droid, play ring toss with one of your mini spaceships, sleep, go dancing with yourself, stare into a mirror and cry, build a couch cushion fort, get drunk at your wetbar as your robot butler gently pats you.

    The possibilities are endless.

CUSHION FORT!!! I know what I'm doing :D

  4. Considering how many people hate all the rakghoul stuff for various reasons, I'm not sure adding that as a warzone would be a good idea, at least not until people get to queue for spesific warzones... which doesn't seem likely to ever happen as that would be the end of Huttball :p

CO actually has (or had? maybe it's seasonal) a PvP thingie where you're turned into one of the zombie horde upon death and where the goal is indeed survival, quite similar to the idea mentioned above.

Oh yea. I was purely coming from a selfish position here. I personally think that it would be a fantastic thing too add, but I'm well aware many would not want it. Maybe perhaps just a event only kind of thing. One of those special one off things a year.

  5. Maybe at some point in the future they could introduce something like "The Contagion" zone; where it would be possible to get turned into Rakghouls - and the goal is to be the last survivor.

The Rakghouls would be very weak, but they would have the ability to respawn each time they get killed - while survivors have only "one" life, and if they get killed they join the horde. :rak_01:

SOE's little "Infantry" game used to run an event like that; it was a lot of fun - and many players loved it.

That would be awesome. I wouldn't even mind if this was a warzone. Just imagine how much fun that would be!

  6. Yea there wasn't so much as a downside. To it just a bit of fun blowing up in your friends faces. You got DNA samples and you used them to buy stuff. Pretty much all it was.

What I'm really hoping for (Which I really doubt will happen) is that you can turn into a Rakghoul and attack other players. You don't have to be strong or anything but can you imagine a horde of rakghoul players swarming the fleet! How amazing would that be. You'd have to organise a contamination team to cleanse the fleet.

I still stand that the best event I ever played was the Undead one in WoW. Where people would turn to zombies and attack other people. It was soooo much fun.

However, I am smart enough to understand that such an event will not happen. Anything that prevents people playing the game the way they want too is bad. Even if it is super dooper fun!

  7. This is a good topic. If it can be moderated and stopped from turning into a cesspool of hate, Bioware could really use this feedback for future development.

    1) What is your overall impression of this game? I really enjoy it. Could be improved but it's worth my sub fee and can't see myself stopping it anytime in the future.

    2) What aspects of this game do you enjoy? I've never had a better leveling experience than I have in SWTOR and Makeb just proves that again. I really hope they are working on adding additional levels and story content. Also operations and flashpoints are quite fun. And I maybe on my own here but I enjoy the classes too. I think they are diverse from one another and offer a unique experience.

    3) What aspects of this game do you not enjoy? I'm not a fan of all these daily questing hubs that are coming out. I enjoy doing them the first time round but when it turns to the tenth it starts to become boring. Additionally I would love to be able to customize the interior of my ship, or even my hanger. I'm also not a fan of crafting. I think they need too really have another look at that and sharpen it up. Also not a fan of character customization being in the Cartel Market. I think sub's should of been allowed to buy stuff like that with credits. Also not enough fluff things to do in this game. Like Pazzak, podracing etc.. Those little things you do when your not raiding or grinding.

    4) What do you think could be done to improve the things you dont enjoy? For the daily quest hubs have a selection of randomly selected daily quests you can do. So for example you go to Sith Lord Bob one day and kill 5 children. The next time you go to him he asks you to poke 10 trees. Just mix it up a bit. Doesn't have to be endless, just a mix of 2-3 different quests for each quest giver. I suppose you could add more customization for your ship and don't try and push sub's into the cartel market so much. Let them use their credits for something! Add more fluff features.

    5) What would you like to see added to this game in the future? I personally would love to see more sandbox elements in the game. Maybe a planet where you can put housing on and create communities. A revamp of the crafting system. Add in game holiday events, people love these and will sub to play them. I'd love additional levels and story but that's some way off.

  8. Ingame Holiday events are very important in MMO's in my opinion. It gives us something else to do, gives us a chance to get new items and achievements. It also encourages people to login and subscribe. If you know that this event is only going to happen once a year... well... a year is a long time to wait to get that item you wanted.

I knew people who subscribed to WoW just to play the holiday events. Once it was over they would unsub until the next one. Never underestimate the power of a little fun.

  9. Now you are just being hyperbolic because you don't like it. You have had a rough couple of days IMO. :)

If they were pandering to children.. Cartel Packs would be dropping gumballs and gummybears.

I want my gumballs and gummybears. Mmmm gummybears.

Just out of interest am I the only one that gives the little gummbears voices when I eat them? Like a "nooooooooo" as they go to their doom? Just me? Oh dear :(

  10. It wasn't IN THE GAME until this latest release which given the combination of pandas, monks, (Kung-Fu Panda, LDO) and the new pokemon style pet fighting, clearly shows the game is now pandering to children.

I'm sorry but i think your blowing this way out of proportion. One optional companion does not mean Bioware is pandering to children.

  11. I don't mind the blend of tank/healer.

    He's a she.

It destroys the story. Endor isn't discovered for a very long time. Why the frak to Ewoks think C3P0 is a god if they've been out in the galaxy for over 3,000 years?

It's pandering to a very low common denominator. It's atrocious. It frightens me that this game may be on the same path as WoW implementing Kung Fu Panda + Pokemon.

Well its just for a little fun. Also I believe that a ewok companion destroying the story is a little bit far.

*Edit - Sorry I should just add that there is a in game reason for Treek being able to be your companion. Its below. If you don't want to know please ignore it.

Treek saw a starship crash land on Endor and offered to help fix it. The crew shot at him so he killed them off one by one over the course of a few days. Then the ship droid surrendered to him and taught him how to fly. He took the ship and landed at Nar Shaddaa where he went to work for the Imperials attacking Republic targets.

  12. True, but it happens. People make mistakes. It's happened in other games I play, it's happened in other types of services I've used. You can't change what's happened, but they can respond appropriately, and take measures to ensure that it doesn't happen again. I believe they responded well, and hopefully we won't see a situation like this again.

Exactly. Their human, and we all make mistakes. Banks make mistakes. Shops make mistakes. Hell even governments make mistakes. What matters is that they are trying to fix this mistake and then take action to minimise this happened again.

  13. Can you really assure of that? I mean, you dont actually know, you're just regurgitating what BW posts in all of their videos.

I'm sure they make optimizations, but in reality can you really say the game is running THAT much better now than a year ago?

If anything, my random disconnects and crashes are worse, the fleet is laggier than ever, and after an entire year, 16-man raids are still choppy and the engine can barely handle walking around the Gree Event without massive ability delay.

You really can't "assure" us anything unless you're doing it yourself, and I think a lot of us stuck by BW because we trusted they'd get a handle on all these issues. So far they havent., and its adding to a whole lot of straw on the camel's back.

Indeed it has gotten a lot better since launch. I was there and the fleet is a lot smoother. However, I believe that is not the case for all and I can only write from my experiences. Its really down to whether or not you want to take Bioware's word on it. I'm happy to believe they are working on the engine and game optimization. Why? Because the people who are working on the game said they are. I personally choose to believe them, than people on a forum who have no idea what the development is like behind the scenes.

Whether that's good enough for people... well that's entirely up to them.

  14. Oh god! Thats even more incredibly complicated than I thought! I never thought such a simple design element in this game could take that long to implement! Thanks! Now I understand!

But in all seriousness, putting a dye slot next to the speeder in the abilities page would be the way to put dyes into speeders

Alright cool. They will wave their little wand and it'll happen. Expect it in patch 2.3.

  15. Well in the ability window they could put a button next to the speeder so you can put dyes on them? Or will that take hours and hours of valuable development time?

You have no idea how much work it would take. Its not just a simple issue of putting a dye slot in an ability and having it magically turn that colour. It would have to go to the programmers, artists, UI developers and gods knows how many people before this is even possible.
