  1. SI does indeed seem the easiest with the large start up pool, but they do suffer in long term fights, with the only way to regain force in combat is to slowly kill them selves, you will find that you will need a back up healer to heal the SI as he trades health for force

This is not true forever. Later talents fix this for the most part.

  2. I think a pet would have been a better gift, or an outfit, or an emote or almost anything else. Wearing a founders medal just proclaims to everyone (even 5 years down the road) you were a sucker for spending cash on a subpar product.

Also, in other games where you got something for being first probably doesn't impress anyone. Having a virtual title or item is exactly that, virtual. It's not real. And if it does, they are foolish. I mean really?

I do see people wearing the title. I don't wear mine and never will because there are way better titles.

And to those saying its free and because of that its somehow good? I would have rather them use the resources do fix something. Just because its free doesn't automatically bestow value.

In short I don't actually care about the medal.

I think just giving us a title is sort of lame. However, not everyone considers it a subpar product nor do they feel they are a 'sucker'.

  3. Yes it is back to pre 1.1 levels. I kept track of all missions across three characters in a spreadsheet and it was pretty fairly consistently profitable after 1.1 and now is around break-even range (i.e. slight profit or loss unless you get a crit or fail mission outright).
  4. Yep, I've been keeping track of all my slicing since 1.1 in a spreadsheet. Definite back to 'break even if you're lucky' range after this emergency patch.

It's basically a gathering profession where you can run missions if you want for a chance at a crit and a crafting mission or cybertech schematic. Which means it is STILL better than UT on my server - everyone dumps stuff at much less than mission cost.

  5. I can not believe you thought this was important enough to post.

    please ****.

    Grow up?

In regards to the OP - I always have this problem. If you avoid heroics and PvP and space you'll be close to on-level, though.

On one of my alts at the moment I only did class+bonus and am almost level 24 on Taris. So, Nar Shaddaa will mainly end up being class quest and a heroic 4 or to. Still, it's much better than having gaps of quests, I think. Just skip side quests - only an issue for OCD completionists I think. ;)

  6. Kakarot. Japanese for Carrot

Why: I have used the tag DoubtedCarrot for awhile and didn't think it would fit so a friend suggested Kakarot

    Master Alcinoe, The Kakarot Legacy

It is really Kyarotto in Japanese (キャロット). Still a cool surname, though. :)

As for me, I use Velanesse. No idea why it just was random and sounded cool.

  7. I do hope that all of the armor you see in-game does have an orange version some day. I don't think it does at the moment but is something that will be added as we go along (my cynical opinion).

Also, you cannot currently 'crit' on orange gear for an augment slot. At least no one has shown this happening, whereas we have some screenshots of people doing this for weapons.

Lastly you can't take the mods out of raid gear nor can you get the set bonuses on orange gear, so we're all going to look like clones anyway. An appearance tab would help...

  8. WoW Is far more open and thats the difference between that and SW. If I went to Ironforge I had to freedom without feeling claustrophobic and I could leave Ironforge by it's entrance, on a glyphon and yes a loading time by the Deeprun Tram. In Star Wars it seems if I go through any door its BAM LOADING SCREEN, walk abit, BAM Loading screen and thats the problem imo!

That only happens in a few scenarios - if you use your pocket quick travel, you use your ship, or you enter a flashpoint. I'm sorry but you can't expect a continuous galaxy - I'd love some more space travel, though.

On Tatooine and Alderaan the planets are very large (and yes have some walls, but are still big - can't expect the entire globe of each to be created) and you don't see a load screen at all except when you arrive via ship.

  9. So got a 50 BH. The story was awesome.

I re-rolled a Sniper. I'm not a speech expert. But that sounds like a terrible British accent. I spent a month in London and it sounded nothing like that. But regardless if it correct or not. I have never been more annoyed by a voice in my life. I can't hit my spacebar fast enough. This is an American game, the majority of the players are probably Anerican. How can I immerse myself when I have some "bloke" talking like an idiot (bad acting not British in general)?

On average I find the voice acting pretty good. There are a few poor ones, but not near as many as I've come across in other games (such as the few voices I heard in Rift). Also, the Imperial Agent access is fine and the actor is British and the accent is not fake at all.
