There is no way to select a disipline after pressing K everything is blank.

I understand this is PTS but please take these into consideration.
1. "Jump puzzle" should be a short cut for those who like them, and for those of us who can't, there is another route to progress. I am not very good with them but if I were there are other games I would play. I gave up on the Makeb DataCron for this very reason. It would be nice to bring those back. My point an interactive FP where if I were a slicer I could pass that area.
2. The first couple area the number of mobs was ridiculous or were they there just for looks and decor? There was one room where my "route" didn't have me interact with the majority. I don't like it when "added difficulty" only means throwing more mobs at you.
3. The first boss, the one after the first cut scene with the "new guy" was to me, not hard but at the same time not engaging with my sorc and companion who's level 50. I just for the most part DPS race and luckily my comp kept me well above half. If there were mechanics I didn't see them with my run. The sheer amount of hitpoints he had made me wonder if I already make it to the boss. Please for the Love of the game, make the rewards kinda match the difficulty. Ie if the boss takes a while to kill then maybe you don't have the gear to down him very fast. You shouldn't be rewarded with low crap gear. I am not sure but maybe it's just a pts thing.
Again never made it to the last boss cause I couldn't get past the Jump puzzle.

I am on Onderon and when I scan a mob corpse. I don't receive any materials. Is this by design or an Error? I haven't seen any news about this....just about the bags.
I know materials go straight to the Crafting bag but usually you get a note in chat what you picked up, in the past at least. I have even done the "see what i have before" and "see what i have after" and no change
please and thank you:confused:

This "to slow down gearing" only hurts people like me who barely manages 237 Gear Rating. Being noobish, I don't see them not going back the normal get piece of gear and then min/max with earpieces/relics/implants and augments to make the difference.
Yeah, I don't have the credits to jump from 236 pieces to 258's so my Grind is way longer.

Ever hear of something called Macramé?
Hold the middle two, one over, one under, cinch up the knot.
Hold the middle two, one over, one under, cinch up the knot.
Hold the middle two, one over, one under, cinch up the knot.
It was a chore, too.
I still did it.
That is a poor analogy.
To create something with crafting. It's not simple gathering i need to do. I have to do some PVP, a raid, a conquest hard mode flashpoints. Each has a different item needed to craft something. Now OP's question was is it worth it, with all you have to grind for materials, its worth it because you won't be making things for yourself MODS, ENH, Armorings, cause you will get better gear with drops. The stuff he will make he can just sell for mad profit...if that's what he's looking for.
-
The benefit for me is that I like the act of crafting in and of itself outside of any concern for what I'll do with it what I want. I like crafting for crafting's sake.
I used to be that way but they've made crafting so convoluted and a chore. There are materials I have no idea to find or have to spend more than I have. Materials aren't the simple ones you gather but things that drop in raids conquests etc.
-
"lots of money" is subjective, and some are not so mercenary in their thinking as to worry about a profit. Even this day and age, with arguments left and right that crafting is no longer "worth it" I still maintain an ecosystem of crafters on every server.
Because I like crafting.
Can I assume that you are not a raider or someone who plays the GTN market? Crafting only seems to benefit those that raid or can get the recipes and a good number of mats before everyone else. I tried crafting and since I don't raid, much, I don't have the materials to craft said items.
I suspect they are going to go up seeing how dropped gear has mods, and enhancements that are locked to a certain slot. I assume crafted ones will be free to put anywhere.
-
UC? You can't be talking about Unassembled Components. Out of 5 level 70's I think I have about 35. I don't know where these things drop other than the crates and that's from gear "I don't need" which is slim. So...i guess a person like me will gear even slower.

First I would like to thank all who take the time to make guides. Your work is appreciated.
Why isn't gearing its own guide? Speaking currently about DPS. Wouldn't they all be the same for what you need? For example, everyone needs 110 accuracies right? And another thing is that hasn't changed as long as I've been playing. Am I missing something? Wouldn't it make Guides for classes that much easier?
-
My point was: if you are new and just learning, you're not going to be hitting anywhere close to the top anyway. Further, I argue that if you are experienced enough on the class, you are probably better served by practicing and playing with your rotation yourself, rather than combing through often simplified/generalized guides intended for beginners. Which is honestly not complicated, provided you are familiar enough with the class (and again, thus the comment on beginners).
Nowhere did i say anything about writing guides.
Sorry but old military lesson. What I was trying to say, like what they used to tell us. When you truly know or understand something, you can explain it or teach it to someone else, hence the comment about a guide. To me, the ones who write guides truly understand the class on a level I don't seem to be getting. I just figured you guys would rather a person know their own shortcomings and try to improve as they know how. Some guys can do exactly what you said from the beginning and learn that way. I like myself need help.
TLDR
If playing around and learning my class is the key, the rotation I had was OK (to me) but everyone is saying "Its outdated" and never but "that good for open world leveling for example.
-
If you're new to the class just use rydarus's guide and ignore the freezing force bits, as its pointless since the nerf.
If you're not new, you shouldn't be reliant on the guide anyway, right?
Well, you say this, but just because you can play a class, mobs die and you don't, doesn't mean you "know" your class well enough to teach others. I think that's how bad guides are made. Like I said the "outdated" rotation was working fine for me and of course I wasn't in any raids since Dread Palace on my Sorc so I saw how much had changed always looking to improve. I just don't understand why ***** has to get complicated to be "enjoyable".

This guide has been updated to 5.7a because I just felt like there should be a guide as Dulfy's Vengeance Juggernaut and Vigilance Guardian guide is only up to 4.0 which is extremely outdated.

You should have the following modifications, implants, etc.

6x[Advanced Critical Augment 45]
3x[Advanced Accuracy Augment 45]

Vengeance Rotation:
Opener: Enrage (if ready) > Saber Throw > Force Charge
Main Rotation: Filler > Shatter > Filler > Ravage > Filler > Sundering Assault > Filler > Saber Throw (Hew if ready)

Example of Full Rotation: Enrage > Saber Throw > Force Charge > Impale > Shatter > Force Scream > Ravage > Vengeful Slam > Sundering Assault > Impale > Saber Throw (Hew if ready) > Force Scream > Shatter > Vengeful Slam > Ravage > Impale > Sundering Assault > Force Scream > Saber Throw (Hew if ready) > Vengeful Slam > Shatter > Impale > Ravage > Force Scream > Sundering Assault > Vengeful Slam > Saber Throw (Hew if ready)
Vengeance Utility Build:

Vigilance Rotation
Opener: Combat Focus (if ready) > Saber Throw > Force Leap

So....I'm a little confused. Are you guys saying that both these rotations are viable? I was using this one
https://www.docdroid.net/DK28Hso/50v...guide.pdf.html and didn't think much had changed since 5.0 but I've looked around and saw this post and started to changed up my rotation to match but later down the thread someone posted the rotation I was using before and no one is saying anything in conflict. Much help would be appreciated
-
It would be nice if there could be a change up. You ask if want to resume...why not explore the new situations with the NPC. IE if Dorne hooks up with an Imperial, he could mend the gap with her family she left. Etc.
-
Sounds like a plan...hopefully they'll actually listen, instead of ignoring it like they do to all the other suggestions...
Edit: Done and done. Here is the thread in suggestions. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9313520#post9313520
Thanks but i don't think they will. Since doing so will require more voice acting and someone to actually come up with a script. For instance why they went from 8 unique stories during leveling to one semi generic one. I will keep hope though.
-
Are these old Companions open to be romanced by the Alliance Commander or are they still locked to their respected HERO. For example I've looked up Romancing Elara Dorne, and all i get back is Trooper Info.
Does this mean only the Trooper can resume or Romance her?
Does this apply to others?
I assume based on story, Even if an Empire Based Alliance Commander sided with the republic, she wont be open to them.

I love getting a box of rank 190-ish outlander gear after finishing a veteran difficulty chapter that required me to be in 230 gear to complete.
So...i need 230in everything or else i am destroyed. I have 220.
-
No. I'd rather have a companion return under an actual meaningful and substantial circumstance rather then be shoe horned in just because the fans need their virtual wife back.
Nothing really to do with virtual wives, but how "believable" that you get Jorgan back and half of Havoc is spread around. No mention of the others.
My poll was basically what you want but characters we actually want back. Since KOTFE and KOTEE ive only used Lana or Theron.
-
Why not take second and type companions in the search box at the upper right and discover why certain companion haven't come back?
I haven't seen anything put everyone spit balling ideas why. Unless its been in a live stream no real answers from the "Search".
-
Is there something with having a poll on the companions we want back story wise?
Will we have a chance to get a Vaylin outside the story like our old companions?
I really loved the Jeasa story of turning a Jedi evil, will there be one of turning a Sith back to good?
-
1. Will anything of his ever be put in the game, ie Outfit, the way he holds his sabers etc?
also
2. Whats been the word on hoods that all hairstyles to be seen on some toons. I feel up set buying a hairstyle only to have an outfit hide it.
-
Shift + E to bring up the new chapters menu (KotFE & KotET), select Chap 1 of KotFE, hit launch / play.
OMG Thanks. This worked like a charm. I hope this doesn't now effect me losing my old companions.
What i mean is i don't mind losing them like normal.
-
Quest Menu says
Prelude: Knights of the Fallen Empire
Go to Mission Table on ship.
I can't click on it and it says "Not Eligible"
Is there something else i need to do first?
I've done the story to Ziost (not the dailies).
Is this a bug.. How do i start KOTFE?
-
Ok. Thanks man. Going to be weird with Kaliyo standing next to me. LOL:confused:
-
I completed the Chapt all up until the Everyone talks to you. Basically right after Koth has his words. Before Chapt XI, i logged in and out serveral times and always began right were i left off. I still have Kaliyo, but i can only do the whole Chapt over with her in my party? Is this a bug? Is there a fix?
