    Returning player - Its been almost a year. Can I please have some advice

    Hi SWTOR players,

     

    After reading and watching a few YouTube videos I fancy checking out the game again. Its been almost a year since I last played. I've been a casual player since SWTOR first got its released, but I only have the one max level character at the moment. A Sith Sorcerer. So, I'm looking for a few pointers on which way to progress a bit more in terms of content. Here's a mini list of questions I've thought of.

     

    (1) I can recall starting the A Traitor Among the Chiss content and have one of the related missions in my log. Can I still continue with this story?

     

    (2) Has there been any new gear/weapons released? I have a full set of gear from the Command Token vendor I think. I can also recall taking part in PvP to earn the Unassembled Components currency.

     

    (3) Are there any active social guilds on the server willing to take on a returning noob? Sometime I would like to try and get the Datacron which is located on the Fleet. I still don't have this.

    Sith Sorcerer Lightning seeking gearing advice for PVE

    Hello,

     

    I'm currently in the process of checking the stats on my gear and have been reading the Bant guide here on the forum and the 5.0 Lightning Sorcerer PvE Guide on Dulfy. At the moment I have the Eternal Commander MK-3, Tier 1: Artifact (230 ilvl) set purchased with command tokens on a level 70 character. The Saber I'm using is a GEMINI MK-4 rating 246 with a +41 critical rating crystal attached.

     

    The guide is telling me that my stats should be:

     

    5901 Mastery (Stim)

    3183 Power

    1543 Critical (7xE, 1xA, 2xC)

    1056 Alacrity (11xA)

    735 Accuracy (3xE, 2xA)

     

    At the moment my Alacrity is low. Around 362. The guide says 11xA. Should I augment with the Alacrity to boost the stat and does it mean adding 11 of them? Datacron wise I'm missing the Fleet and a couple on the Republic side, but all the other have been collected. Some of the other stats are a bit low. Should I replace the enhancements to boost the stats? Won't this reduce the other stats though?

     

    I'm also confused when the guide says 7405+-216 DPS @ 49.5 APM. I've checked my character and listed under 'force' bonus damage: 2842.9 at the moment. Is this really low? How could I boost this stat? This includes the Mark of Power buff. Also, what does APM mean?

     

    As this is my first level 70 that I'm gearing, I'm a little confused. Any help or advice would be good.

    Fallen Empire character plot question. I'm confused!

    Hello,

    This is just a quick question about a character from the Fallen Empire content. I've added the spoiler tag so not to give away any plot details.

     

     

    I'm currently running the Fallen Empire content for the first time and today reached the part where the Droid HK - 55 saves me, but sadly dies in the process. Once I moved onto the next part of the story, I was able to summon the Droid again. I'm confused as I thought he was gone and go left behind on the planet during the battle. Am I missing something here? Will HK - 55 be removed from the companions list once I continue with the next part of the story? I've asked because small things like this bug me when it comes to stories!

    The Empire Fleet Datacron. Possible to solo now? I don't have it

    you could try open the chat window and type ~godmode this will make you go through walls and land on any plaform you desire but if it doesn't work then I can't help you sorry but you could also ask on the fleet for a group :)

     

    A few days ago I asked a few times on the Fleet if anyone was willing to help me out with getting the datacron and that I already have the required items. There were no replies.

    Hello players of the Old Republic,

     

    Today I was looking at trying to get the Fleet Datacron on the Empire side. I've collected all the required items and then asked in the chat if anyone else wanted to obtain it. I got a few mixed replies saying it's not possible to solo, or yes it is possible. After looking online, all I could find were "older" guides that featured groups anyway.

     

    Would anyone be able to help me get the Datacron please? I'm on the Red Eclipse server.

    Hello,

     

    Today I reached level 50, which is the highest level character I've ever had and was was sent some adaptive armor i the mail. Being my first real character (played a lot at low levels in the past) I have a few questions about gear and stats that I'm unsure about. I've had a look on the net, but would still have a few things to ask.

     

    1: Should I start using adaptive armor now? I've mostly been using the gear from mission rewards? I'm aware the adaptive gear can have mods placed in it and can be changed as I level. Should I spend crystals/GTN modding this gear through the levels?

     

    2: As the lightning spec which stats am I aiming for? I keep seeing maastery - power - crit - alacrity - accuracy? Is this correct? Are this the stats I should be getting on mods? I see defense and shield rating? I take it these are tank type specs and not good for this character?

     

    Can someone offer me some feedback please?

    Balmorra mission called Data Corruption (spoilers)

    Hello all,

     

    I was checking my missions today on this planet and noticed I don't have the mission called Data Corruption. This mission is given by Major Tyrus and I'm sure I've completed this in the past. Has the mission been removed or changed? Maybe a follow on from something else?

     

    The mission takes place in the Okara Droid Factory. I've spoken the NPC who has no mission to offer me.

    Removed payment method - still shows up when purchasing Cartel Coins

    Hello all,

     

    I appear to be having an issue with a payment method (card) that I've removed from my account, as I no longer wish to use this with the game. Last night I tried to purchase some coins through the in game market and was given an error code 10. I went to my account settings on the website and noticed the card I'd removed was still showing up as a payment method under the Cartel Coins section of my account. I'm not sure why is this happening because the card has been removed from my account.

     

    Adding the same card back on just brings up the same error code 10 and I've now had to add a second payment method so that I can purchase coins. This card works fine and I'm able to purchase items.

     

    If I submit a ticket, will they be able to totally remove the card from my account? The first payment method appears to be stuck there still.

    Edit: This appears to have been resolved now.

    Have Matrix Shards been removed?

    Just to clarify the mixed answers you found:

     

    When 4.0 came out, all matrix shards and matrix cubes were removed from our existing character's inventory, we still could collect the ones we hadn't found yet, so for a new character nothing had changed, but the shards we had were gone, as well as the cubes and any augments in them.

     

    A later patch refunded the collected matrix shards for each character, just the shards, the cubes were disassembled.

     

    Sadly, the matrix cubes weren't updated since 1.x and now we A) get the FR/SA relics from heroics for any level span, and B) level so fast that level sync negates the extra stats we'd get from the matrix cubes. So the matrix cubes are too little gain for too much effort, hopefully this might change sometime but I'm not holding my breath.

    Hi,

     

    Last night I started a new character and while levelling around Hutta I noticed that the Datacrons are now legacy wide. I was going to find the blue shard that's also in this area. After doing a few searches which said they have been removed from the game? Can anyone please confirm this?
