  1. Come th Harbinger .. very rare to wait more that 12 mins 24x7 :D

This is true for the most part, but like someone else said, Harbinger can be very rough for new pilots. There are several premade groups and other 5-ship pilots that run there that frankly make many matches frustrating slaughters if you're on the other end. Even when I've been put on the winning side it can still not be very fun when your premade teammates are getting all the kills and you don't get to do anything. However, if you're willing to rough it out like I did then you really won't have to wait long for matches on Harbinger.

  2. Aww, I feel so sorry for you that you can't perv out and dress Ashara in the slave outfit like every other creeper and lonely guy out there likes to do with their female companions. However will you get your digital rocks off now?
  3. Yeah, I used to scoff at those who kept saying that this game would go F2P sooner rather than later. I used to have complete faith in Bioware. Now I feel foolish, and after this, DA2, and the ME3 fiasco EA/Bioware is never getting another dime from me.
  4. Only if there is also a penalty for the following.

Not calling out for help when a node is under attack.

    Not passing the ball.

Running behind the ball carrier and never getting open for a pass.

Not actually keeping eyes on an objective.

4 people fighting one guy in a corner while another area is calling for help.

Being in a premade and refusing to communicate with the rest of the team.

Being in a post 50 warzone with 0 expertise.

Not knowing your basic directions like east and west and south.

If the OP is allowed to have a penalty given to people who act in a way that makes him mad, then I should have that same privilege.

Pretty much this. Until there's a penalty for this stuff, I'll gladly keep leaving failing warzones until BW implements something to stop me from doing so. It just isn't worth the time and aggravation to stay in a game filled with a bunch of morons who don't know how to do anything except attack the nearest enemy.

  5. I've had enough, this game is not fun. Here's the latest, all with zero satisfaction from Bioware:

Unfortunately I agree with you here. It really is a tragedy of Darth Vader proportions what Bioware has turned into after being acquired by EA. They used to value player feedback and deliver deep, quality games.

Now with their EA overlords, they almost completely ignore any constructive player feedback, and treat their player base as just one big cash machine.

After seeing what they've done with Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and now this game, I'm done with Bioware unless they throw their evil EA overlords into a Death Star reactor, which won't be happening any time soon.

  6. No way, this game needs alot more updates. Im happily in GW2 now, in its beta, and it offers sooooo many more basic features that an mmo should have, and its beta...oh and its free.

    SWTOR needs:

A real world PvP system - not just battleground arenas, and incentives to do it

Optional sandbox elements to break the boring mod of arena/fp/ops grind

    • Make the casinos functional
    • Make mini-games
    • Pod Racing

    More customizations to ship/character/companions

A functional Light/Neutral/Dark system that is actually worth something

Endgame gear that actually looks good enough that people WANT to get it

    Space overhaul

Get us off fleets! - Were sick of those damn stations, get us off and dont force us in those places!

    ALOT more guild features/incentives/rewards/goals/tools/achievements

Make worldbosses worthwhile to kill, like actually good loot, that you actually drool and want to get!

Make achievement awards unique, instead reskinning the same speeders we already have.....boooooring.

Make endgame loot alot better, and dont be lazy and have different tiers share the EXACT same set bonuses!

And of course fix dead servers - well see how it goes after tuesday

Get those features in and you might start getting people back

Pretty much this (minus pod racing-anything related to episode 1 is bantha poodoo in my eyes). I absolutely hate the fleet system. What's the point of a PvP server if all the end game content is on the fleet? Why force everyone to spend all their time in cold, sterile interior environments and waste all the beautiful artwork that went into all the planets? Why "fix" PvP when it didn't need any, aside from some balance issues?

Until these and other questions get answered in a satisfactory way, I most likely won't be resubscribing any time soon.

  7. I've levelled 4 characters to 50 now, 3 Empire 1 Republic. I've done every flashpoint and op on hard mode, I've pvped to rank 70, and I can say I'm bored with the game. I eventually got bored with WoW, but at least there I never did all there was to do in that game.

I realize it's unfair to compare content of a 6 month old game to an 8 year old game, but at least with WoW you'd have to have no life or have a long term commitment to complete all the content that it has. In TOR, it only took me 6 months to experience all there is the game has to offer.

Honestly, if they had just left PvP alone I probably would still be subbed, but since 1.2 PvP is just horrid and I couldn't justify giving Bioware any more money for something I don't enjoy anymore. That, and the whole Mass Effect 3 fiasco has really soured me on Bioware. It's a shame, since even just a few months ago I would still be one of those fanboys singing Bioware's praises. Not anymore.

  8. Game bashing thread is just that. Saying you are going to save someone time by posting only shows how large your ego is, says nothing about the actual game other than your opinion.

And how is you giving your opinion any more relevant or constructive than the OP's opinion? This is a public forum, anyone can post their opinions to their heart's content as long as it falls within the established guidelines. If you don't like someone's opinion, either provide a counter-argument or just don't post. Pretty simple.

  9. Reading a couple of posts in this thread makes me wonder why anyone willingly makes video games. Gamers are some of the whiniest, entitled people on the planet and nothing any developer does will ever please all of them. The event ended, there was information on the forums that stated it was going to end, the real world still exists and the sky is in its normal place, despite what some of the chicken littles might think.
  10. Reading the rose-tinted nostalgia from old SWG players always makes me laugh. I enjoyed SWG too, but if it was so popular, or even good, SOE wouldn't have tried to completely change the game--twice. SWG was already bleeding subscribers pre-CU. There were some things it did well, but a very large portion of the game was broken. Anyone who says SWG was "one of the greatest games ever" is fooling themselves.
  11. Yes, but can one purchase a crafted sabre in game now? While I am never going to make one, I am willing to buy it.

Yes but unless you're level 50 it won't do you any good, and at the moment they're no better than any of the other moddable lightsabers you can get. There's no green/blue/purple crafted lightsabers in the game right now.

  12. What are codex entries and where do I find them?

The problem is that I need everything explained to me from the start v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. I don't know what half these terms mean, so telling me to do X is meaningless; you might as well be speaking Bantha.

They're the little popups that come up when you discover new things. To find the codex, you have to open your log, which is done by pushing the L button by default. The codex is the third tab over.

Once you're in the codex section, click on "Crew Skills" from the left and you should see a description of each crew skill, so long as you've clicked on each of the trainers once in the past.

  13. There are no crafted lightsabers until close to level 50. The way to upgrade your saber to around your level is getting a hilt at or close to your level. Hilts are what determine a saber's strength/level. Once you find a good hilt, you can then look for mods and enhancements. You don't need to ever find another lightsaber as long as you keep your starter one updated with current mods.

Every planet has mods vendors that sell hilts/mods/enhancements for commendations you earn on the planet. Very often it's worth saving your coms for those rather than saving them for armor.

  14. Not to sound rude, but you should've really read the codex entries for the crew skills. They very clearly state what crew skills go with what. In your case, Underworld Trading goes with Synthweaving.
  15. Without trying to spoil it, it won't come till almost the very end of your class story. Her companion quest that leads to the *ahem* climax of the romance is level 48, and you'll have to be close to that level to complete it.
  16. A guildie had this idea the other day. In tied games, instead of whoever has the ball last wins, how about a sudden death round where the team who has the last person(s) alive wins. Currently, it's pretty lame that the team with the ball last wins if the score is tied. A sudden death round would fit in pretty well with the spirit of the warzone I think.
  17. I run Annihilation with Vette kitted out to the nines. I've never felt the need to pull out Quinn. The only thing I could think he might help with is a boss mob and that's if you can even kill the boss depending on his level vs yours.

Agreed, I can take down 2 same level or just below elites simultaneously with Vette. Some people just can't go without the crutch of a healing companion though. As for me, I'll take a few seconds of down time after fights over taking twice as long to kill things.

  18. That's my problem. I never am able to find equipment better than the modable equipment. If you want the best equipment, you're forced to use the mod equipment it seems. At least so far that I can tell.

Actually you're not. Most every craftable blue I've made so far has been better than the orange armor I'm currently wearing (with level appropriate mods). The only thing that orange armor has is the ability to scale it close to your level. If you want to look different as you level, pick up armstech/armormech/synthweaving.
