  1. Maybe... just maybe if droves of people are making unprecedented amounts of posts about this, there might be a problem. Just maybe though.

I'm probably wrong though, you guys are the leetsauce with all the answers.

Droves of people made unprecedented amounts of posts about EGA and how BW was so wrong and so terrible for not giving them their access immediately when in fact BW started EGA 2 days early and very clearly stated the conditions for EGA. Did that make them right?

  2. You NEED macros to compete against others with macros. You WANT macros to crush casuals.

This fo sho. Macros add another layer to the game that I for one don't want. The same goes 1000 times for add-ons.

I thought otherwise until I played the game.

All your abilities can fit on your action bars. All your action bars can be key bound. There is a focus target swap, a focus target modifier, and an assist all built into swtor's keybindings. Ok so no mouseover but then that's really just 1 click away from target anyway.

I don't understand what more is needed and to what end and I haven't seen anything in the 50 pages of this thread to convince me.

  3. "On my Bounty Hunter I have found it more successful to to stop keybinding and stop running around...I sit there and unload on anything that comes at me."

You've defined "success" as doing the top damage. Is that your objective in PvP? I find it more successful to obtain objectives and standing in one place for very long doesn't facilitate that.

You're also describing range burst DPS as Turret PvP and arguing that the entire combat system is built around this. That's 1 of many tactics. Of course, it's going to work for ranged DPS against an oblivious target. Sages, Sorcerers, Snipers, Gunslingers do this all day long as well.

  4. I have fought many operatives 1v1 - several very good ones, as far as I could tell. I have yet to lose to one.

Focusing them is key in team-fights. Left alone, they'll wreck players. I wouldn't necessarily call them OP, though.

What I've found playing a BH and often making my kill targets troopers and other BH, is that if a BH can get an opener (or two) on you he'll probably win. Otherwise in 1-on-1 scenarios it's a really close call who wins and it seems to be some combination of skill and bit of luck. PvP has felt pretty balanced to me.
