  1. I have a level 50 Jedi Guardian and I have really enjoyed the play on that character. I wanted to try the Sentinel/Marauder class and thought it was an excellent opportunity to see the Sith Warrior story.

I am loving the story, but the gameplay on my Marauder feels clunky and isn't much fun. I am level 34 currently and I am specced Carnage. I tried Annihilation first, but as the damage from dots doesn't really have time to ramp up while levelling against normal mobs I decided to switch.

I can see where the synergy is trying to go, but I am just not sure I am going to enjoy it. It feels way to proc dependent to me right now. Instead of managing my focus and abilities on their own merit (either using a rotation or priority system), I find myself constantly having to wait on an Ataru proc so I can get the insta crit for Force Scream.

I am holding out hope that Massacre will solve that problem as it will provide an automatic Ataru proc and I won't have to wait on them. At this point, if Massacre doesn't make the whole rotation gel together I fear I will never really enjoy the class.

Anyone have thoughts or opinions on this? Does Massacre make everything gel and suddenly become enjoyable to play?

The top talent in all of the trees brings a huge quality of life improvement for the specs. A lot of people say mara dont shine till they reach 40's and i do agree with this it was a really ****** class to level for a large part of getting to 50 but it gets a lot better when you are 40+.

  2. they only share the cd when they're the same exact trinket. i can use the rakata one, then the columi one 30 sec later. Might not be as much sustain as the matrix shard(idk honestly) but boss fights are all about burst right now so i'm sticking with this.

Can I use the battlemaster along with rakata then?

  3. surge/crit relic is pretty bad unless you're rage spec or don't ahve that much surge on your own. If you're anywhere near 70% surge multiplier then the power relics will serve you much better.

I use the columi and the rakata +power relics. matrix relic might be better, but gives me more opportunity for harder hits and bigger crits during berserk.

Those don't share the same cooldown?

I have 28% melee crit 31% force crit and 73% surge so even with an extra 28 strength the on use is so bad the 136 power relic would still be better?

I think i would honestly prefer the matrix cube over another power relic anyway though. And the on hit relic is pretty much a tossup till we have combat logs?

  4. You know, Idk. I would think if you have the kinetic damage one use it rather than the matrix cube but I really don't know. We'd have to do some testing.

So This can confirm the matrix cube is better then the rakata crit/surge augment relic? I'm pretty sure most run with it but they dont mention if it is worth using over one with an augment slot.

  5. I would like to know what you guys think is BIS relics. I have both the dps rakata relics with augments. Would it be better to use the power one and the matrix cube or the relic from KP?
  6. My initial response was "UGH" but I think my account will get banned if I continue being an ***....

If the knockback classes go fight you headon, on a flat surface. Let's see who wins. Everyone has advantages in different environments. So stop positioning yourself horribly on the bridge and catwalk and you will never, ever, ever die again.

    Like me :)

    Some classes have stealth

    Some classes have a pull

Sometimes it is more then a 1vs1 fight

  7. DirectX 9 currently. This is from an interview posted August 27, 2010 [click for source article]:

So until they upgrade the API with DX10/11/OpenGL(lollin'), you're gonna be looking at the same graphics quality.

ETA: by the way, I'll just go ahead and assume that "largest consumer base" = windows XP in this case

upgrading to DX11 is still only gonna provide a minor improvement to the look of the game. They made it so that people on the weakest hardware can run it fine and it shows.

  8. It's a pretty game, but no Skyrim. :)

However, that is the price for a MMO.

I wouldn't exactly call Skyrim pretty looking, It could of looked much better.

Aye! I am not the gaming hardware expert, but I believe console games in general have technological advantages that allow better graphics than a PC, no?

I guess in my mind I've always separated MMO graphics from console graphics, so from an MMO mindset, I really enjoy the screenshots I've seen so far. Can't wait to see for myself!

Hell no. Consoles are far inferior to PC hardware right now. The game doesn't look amazing because they want as many people playing it as possible so the graphics are weak in orer to maximize profits. They also have to keep in mind that there could be parts where there is 100+ people in spots.

  9.

Besides, your CPU is pretty nice already.

    /cheers

How is that a nice cpu? Your pc has to be powered by hamsters for that to look nice cpu.

Also OP just because you meet the minimum requirements doesn't mean playing the game will be an enjoyable experience. It just means it will run the game.
