  1. then tell me, genius..how my Jedi Knight "won corellia" and then my Inquisitor "won corellia"

one class drove out the empire (but "minor fighting") and the other had the empire take complete control.

if it's considered just "later times" then it's crap storytelling and contradicts one another.

or how about Ilum? my jedi mostly stopped the imps..then my inquis mostly stopped the reps.

so either it's alternate depending on your PERSONAL side..or BioWare needs new writers.

Are you really this dense? The game doesnt care what order you played your character. The Imp storyline on Corellia happens first, then Pub storyline.

If you're playing imp you get to Corellia first ALWAYS.

  2. You know bioanalysis is a GATHERING skill right? So, go gather. Go pick flowers on Belsavis or Corellia or whichever planet has the most level 5 stuff. Go kill level 45 beasts and "skin" them.
  3. I have had a similar experience to the original poster. I payed the 1million credits for astromech droid, payed 100k for the Armormech/Underworld Trading Sensor unit and equipped it on my C2N2. I was hoping it would display his new abilities in the missions tab like it used to display him as +Diplomacy. Now I used him to make Rakata Belts for myself. I want to crit on a Rakata belt because then I would have better than Campaign. (For me, campaign belt is +10 aim, +7 power, where I could get +18 aim with augment). I used him instead of my normal Armormech guy who is only plus 5. So far I crafted 9 Rakata belts, spent 9 alloys and tons of Mandalorian Irons without an augment. I switched to my other guy after about 5 belts because I figured my droid upgrade was broken. I think I may have just been F'd by the random bad luck, still depressing, so many mats gone to waste. Biometric Crystal Alloy costs 150k+ on my server, or going to a Normal Op, which noone wants to do lol :rak_03:

Guess you never crafted before? Jaesa, my SW companion has +5% crit for synthweaving, so basically the same chance as droid with the right sensor. I made over 40 rakata belts/bracers and only had 1 crit bracer to show for it.

  4. It's not always about about gear. How can you be certain it was just a gear problem and not a gear + skill problem? A lot of DPS classes are pretty complicated to play effectively.

Anyway there should be both types of enrages. Soft enrage based on health and hard enrage based on time.

Soft enrage will always happen ensuring the fight is challenging as you have to deal with an extra mechanic at 20% or something. This extra mechanic should be something that relies on skill, not gear, to win.

Hard enrage is still needed to deny kills to people who are not fit for HM or have a stacked composition. I'm not sure why you feel like you should be able to clear a HM when you said your whole group was undergeared.

  5. Hard mode EV / KP drops some columi too. The loot drops on lost island are perfect.

Every boss in HM KP/EV drops rakata grade items. The columi is simply trash filler. Also the bonus boss drops tionese-grade relics. Joke?

I can clear HM EV in an hour with alts in tionese gear. Total Rakata: 2 gloves, 2 offhands, 2 legs, 2 boots, 2 chest, and all the filler stuff.

HM LI takes just a bit less time, requires better gear, and for what?

  6. Changing boss mechanics so it's fair to all classes is not a nerf.

Also what is the point of the adds? It's like some guy just threw random boss mechanics together because that's how you make things challenging right? The more the better! Next patch they should make it 2 droids at once, so you need to bring 2 tanks for it, because tank swaps are all the rage now!

  7. No there's definitely some bug that causes the droid to not spawn. I never jump or do anything other then run and point at the droid. I'd say 1/10 times it bugs and nothing spawns. Started happening to me last week.

I've always started clicking the panel as soon as I light up a square for defusal. Don't think that's causing it, since it would happen every time if so, unless that's one of multiple factors causing it.

  8. This change made no one happy. This change made some people unhappy. Exiting an area to escape a few repairs was not breaking the game in the slightest. Bioware, get your priorities sorted out please. Was this change really the smart thing to do in your situation?

Stop wasting time taking away things that marginally benefit the player while dragging your behins on the real issues. I dont care if one guy spent 5 minutes on that change. That 5 minutes should have been spent getting coffee for the guys working on transfers.

  9. That's what I have because the game FORCES ME to play this or I will die even faster.

You just don't get it. Play a druid, play a Rogue especially. Stealth and hit combo's with those characters. You will be amazed that your stealth is actually not detectable! I mean after all, how can you back stab someone without being.. ya know.. DETECTED. Too bad stealth doesn't work in SWTOR.

The Assissin is *WAY* under powered. That is the point. I'm talking 75% under powered. If they want to keep us under powered that's fine, but they need to give us healing and much more crowed control like some sort of Mage.

Each time you post it just proves how bad you are. Stealth works just fine. Learn to use your stealth boost. Learn to use dash. Learn to approach people from the side/back. These are the basics of a stealth class. Rogues certainly weren't undetectable in WOW. The bad ones like yourself were spotted all the time.

And why are you whining about lightning charge when you're deception? Deception uses surging charge for the burst. Holy hell no wonder you're bad.

Does deception need a boost? Yes, but any argument you make is invalid because you're just a terrible player. If you played a marauder you'd still be bad.

The repeating theme here is you are bad.

  10. I've just finished one of the longest, most challenging but the most beautiful warzone ever. We played against the strongest republic team, no one managed to capture mid. Our tactics was to delay them at first and we had 20 points advantage since the beginning. It turned our to be the crucial point in the wz.

So.. there were 2 tank assassins. Total protection of nearly 900k. Mercenary doing nearly 800k healing and sorcerer doing nearly 900k heal.

I personally, as 28/0/13, got nearly 400k damage, 300k protection and 135k self healing. Other tank did 550k protection (cheers Elkarien!)

    http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/5294/screenshot2012050323455.jpg

But such warzone happens once in few months :p If you have any questions regarding builds or anything, just ask!

Why do people post these stalemate screenshots? Hey look I did a million damage in VS when we just fought on one door for 15 minutes! Inflated numbers are inflated. Nothing is impressive here besides both sides lack of coordination and/or bad ops composition to focus down targets. Looking at the deaths, half of your team just repeatedly suicided into middle the whole game. Their side had uncoordinated DPS and could only kill agents (who were probably undergeared).

And what exactly did you tank? You had guard on someone and taunted on cooldown. That's not tanking, that's called playing an assassin in PVP.

  11. Hey I use them in raids. Pylon or Bonethrasher adds. Just shock and roundhouse! Oh that reminds me... it's a friggin roundhouse kick!

Though I think they should put that kick animation on a regularly used skill. Assassin animation is kind of boring.

  12. Why would you use healing relic as a tank?!

    1. It only proc if YOU heal an ALLY. It means someone else than you.

    2. It doesn't heal you. EVER.

    Summary:

    - get proper tanking relic e.g.

And I suppose you'd tell healers to use the heal one? Lol, that one is so bad for healers they'd be better of using the tank one for the power on it. Your mistake is assuming Bioware's item designers knew anything about their own game. They've proved over and over that they don't.

Although the tank one isn't that bad, +5% absorb is still good when you're softcapped on everything. But I would personally use the heal one, and either the power (on pull so dps can go harder, for burn phases) or dmg proc to up raid damage.

  13. Melee DPS has basically never been viable in any MMO for PvE play. 40 man raids in vanilla WoW would bring zero rogues into Molten Core. DaoC groups were stacked with theugists and other spell casters to bring down dragons.

You are so wrong I just had to point it out. I was in Ascent, the first guild to kill Ragnaros in the world and we killed him by bringing nothing but rogues. Do you even remember WOW back then? The only good mage spec was fire, and Ragnaros was immune to fire. Warlocks were a joke. Hunters were meh. Rogues got us that first kill.

Anyway, Blizzard have always said they expect melee classes to do more damage because of the inherent nature of melee. Over the years and patches, sometimes rogues were top DPS and sometimes they weren't, but at least Blizzard understood why melee should be on top.

  14. Just curious, because I honestly can't think of one off the top of my head.

One class HAS to the be the best at 1v1. If there wasn't a best class then Bioware would be geniuses for completely balancing 1v1 (impossible). So what difference does it make if Sins are the best, or Maras are the best, or PTs are the best? Someone will always be the best, stop complaining. And it still takes skill to actually reach that potential. I've beaten every class while they were considered the best at that time.

Also 1v1's dont matter, unless you're solo guarding something and they only send one scrub at you.

  15. Well, title practically says all.

I don't know which one to stack and which one to focus less on. I've been going with Absorption mostly and have around 40% of it, while my defense is around 37%.

So which one is more important? I know it's both for Tank classes but I would like to know which one I should focus a bit more on.

I know Willpower is basically on the back burner, I have 1840 Endurance (20960 HP) and around 1180 Willpower if that means anything.

Your defense is 37% when you've been stacking absorb? Highly unlikely. I've never even seen a Jugg with that much defense and their armor has tons of that stat. 37% sounds like your armor rating. Going by your other stats your defense should be <20%.

Absorb and defense are both important. At your level of gear you really don't have to worry, you need both and either one will help. Just don't focus only on one.

  16. When did you last loot the chests?

We were able to loot a new chest from HM last night, but not one we looted the night before.

We had seen a raiding guild player on our server with full BH gear last week, which is mathematically impossible without something strange going on, hopefully they fixed what we think people were doing and putting a lock on those chests as well.

Black Hole armor (actually has different stats and/or name than the vendor one) also drops straight off bosses and chests in HM, so it's not impossible.

  17. "Demolisher" provides defensive stats, but "Supercommando" (that also provides defensive stats) is the only one that cannot be bought with commendations, Where is the logic in this?

Black Hole Demolisher is bought with black hole comms.

Campaign Supercommando is bought with campaign tokens.

What's not to understand? It's the same for every class. Black hole is like Exotech (Columi-level armor without set bonus).
